Isla’s POV
Cleo was going crazy that I had just walked away from our mate. I pushed her to the back of my minds and ignored her hurt whimpers.
I needed to stay focused and find my mother in this hell hole somewhere.
Cleo had to understand that.
Alpha Aaron could wait.
I find myself standing in the doorway of the pack house, wondering where she could be.
Where is she?
“Help me.” I heard a voice say from a bundle of lifeless bodies along the corridor of the first floor.
I recognise that dirty filthy little she Wolf in front of me. She’s the one that Max had his tongue down before the pack went into attack mode.
How was she still alive and so many others dead?
I wanted to rip her apart, but she was pregnant, and I knew that she would not be able to shift. It would be so easy to get rid of her just like it was Mora and Max.
Who did she think that she was anyway?
“You were the one snogging Max, I saw you. Is that his dirty pup inside your belly. I bet it is. Well, I hope you rot with him because he’s gone. He won’t be coming back.” I shrieked at her feeling anger overwhelm me. I did not want any reminders of Max around me.
“We were down in the safe room, but the door wasn’t shut completely, me and a few others managed to get out safely but I’m so weak and I think I am in labour.” She said but I just ignored her. She could suffer for all I cared.
This bitch needed to be away from me as far as possible.
“Isla, who is this? Why are you angry with her?” I heard Alpha Aaron say softly from behind me.
He snaked his arms around my waist from behind me and rested his head on my shoulder.
Then his eyes locked onto hers and his jaw clenched as a lowly growl sounded from him. He let go of me and went beside me. I saw his hands clenched into balls of fury.
“You?” His voice echoed down the hall, and he hit the wall furiously.
I had no idea how he knew her, but he was extremely pissed at seeing her.
“Oh, my. Alpha Aaron, please help me.” She started to cry and held her hand out to him, desperately.
“Help you? Why should I lower myself to touch such a filthy certain like you?” He spat at her, and she cried even harder, clutching her pregnant belly.
“Oh, my goddess.” Cora came striding in and gave me a horrified look.
She rushed to help the pregnant she Wolf and shook her head.
“How can you just stand there and not help her?” She grumbled crossly.
“She is nothing more than an omega, she ran away from my pack. Now she’s here and pregnant like she’s owed a favour.” Alpha Aaron exclaimed through gritted teeth.
I looked from him to her in surprise.
“Please.” She carried on pleading as Aaron turned his back on her and led me away. We went towards the alphhas main office.
Placing me on the table, he kissed me so hard that I could barely breath. The smell of him intoxicated me so heavily that I wanted more.
“You are my mate and I want to mark you here and now.” He whispered seductively in my ear as he ran a finger down my chest to my breasts.
I could feel how hard he was getting through his clothes as he thrusted himself against me.
“We should go and help the others.” I told him through kisses, but he silenced me with another long, passionate kiss, hungry for more.
There was a knock at the door.
Crystal.
I quickly pulled my top back up just as she entered the room. She looked irritated to see me and him like that.
“Isla, we must find your mother. Let’s go.” She said before turning to leave, expecting me to follow.
Aaron stood back with a huge smirk on his face as I blushed. I jumped down from the table, brushing myself down and pushing my hair from my face.
I got way to heated in that moment with him, my Wolf wanted him more than anything. She was powerful but I managed to push her back down for now.
Crystal was right.
We needed to find my mother.
I remembered my grandfathers’ words and immediately stepped out after Crystal.
“Are you going to help or just stare?” I said sarcastically at him.
I don’t know what the hell had come over me.
He might be my proper second chance mate, but I should be more cautious this time around.
I did not want to be seen as a weak she Wolf with all these males wolfs.
Cleo just did not think things through sometimes.
Cora grabbed me and pushed me against the wall.
“Hey, what the heck are you doing?” I growled at her, not liking being treated that way.
“Don’t get all caught up in a mate again. Think about yourself first. You know nothing about this one.” She warned me and I shoved her away from me.
“I’m not stupid.” I spoke.
“Neither am I and as your sister, I have to look out for you.” She replied and then pulled me into a hug.
“Now go and find Esmeralda, I have to get this girl some help before that pup is born.” Cora told me pointing back to the omega that was still crying.
“Isla, she’s up here.” I heard Crystal shout from one of the rooms. I broke into a run and went barging into the room where Crystal was bending over the bed. It took me a few moments to realise that my mother was in that bed.
She was laying still with her eyes closed and arms resting on her chest.
She looked so peaceful and frail.
I had to get her back and help her.
“Crystal, we must save her. I can’t lose her.” I whispered sadly and tried not to cry my eyes out.
Holding my hand and placing it over my mothers, Crystal then placed hers over mine and whispered some strange words.
“Repeat after me.” She said and I nodded my head.
“Earth, Fire and Water. Hear our calling. With the power within, heal this body and mind.”
She chanted the words loudly with her eyes closed shut.
“Earth, Fire and Water. Hear our calling. With the power within, heal this body and mind.”
I repeated the words and then opened my eyes a little to see if it had worked.
“Isla?” My mother called.
She was awake!
