Marilyn smiled. "Take care, Mr. Dempsey!"
"You too!" Edmund smiled gently and turned to leave.
Denise looked at everything in the shop. She wouldn't need to worry about her future.
"Denise, this place is amazing!" Marilyn looked at her happily.
Denise looked at her with a grateful smile, "Lynn, I have to thank you for all this! If not for you, I don't know what to do.
"I don't have the courage. I was afraid that the reality would crush me. But now, I have a friend like you and this shop. I suddenly feel that life is much easier."
She was very confident in her skills and she believed she would be successful in her business.
Marilyn was instantly relieved!
As long as Denise stopped thinking about committing suicide, everything was fine. She could start again.
Marilyn used to feel the same, therefore, she understood.
She was even more frustrated. Roland and Jeannie tried to persuade her every day.
But she didn't have the wish to live until she had her babies.
She had no other families.
Thinking back now, her greatest desire at that time was to have a family.
Marilyn glanced at the time and said, "Denise, it's still early today and we have nothing to do at home. Why don't we clean here up? So that you can come by yourself tomorrow. And I won't be worried."
"Alright!" Denise smiled and nodded. The two of them then started.
Marilyn was also very good at housework.
Denise would occasionally look at Marilyn with gratitude.
She was so lucky to meet Marilyn.
She felt Marilyn brought luck to everyone around her.
At six o'clock, Malcolm appeared in the restaurant. His dark eyes lazily swept across the entire restaurant.
He suddenly saw Roland, who was sitting by the window. Roland leaned lazily against the stool, the collar of his expensive handmade shirt slightly loosened. His strong chest was vaguely visible.
He looked formal today and more elegant than usual.
Also, colder.
Malcolm walked towards him with graceful steps.
He sat opposite Roland.
Roland raised his eyes slightly and glanced at Malcolm, still sitting in the same position!
"What do you want to eat, Mr. Lowe?" The indifferent tone of his voice sounds dubious.
Malcolm stared at the indifferent Roland and said in a low voice, "Mr. Harrison, I guess you don't want to eat with me. Let's go to the coffee shop!"
Roland then looked up at him, amused.
"Mr. Lowe, you are joking. I have nothing against you! I don't mind eating with you."
Roland then called the waiter.
Malcolm smiled coldly. He took the menu and ordered two dishes he liked.
Roland ordered quickly after that.
When the waiter left, Roland smiled. "Mr. Lowe, the company has been developing well these few years. Congratulations, it's on the market."
Malcolm elegantly leaned back and slightly narrowed his eyes. "Thank you. Mr. Harrison. You have been doing good on business these years too!"
In the business world, Roland was a legend too!
He founded the Harrison Group without anyone's help.
And his sister was a famous agent!
In Goldmere, the Harrison siblings were influential. But Roland had stayed here for Marilyn.
Roland was Malcolm's biggest and most powerful rival!
The dishes were served quickly, and Roland did not ask for wine. The two chatted as they ate. Halfway through the meal, Roland elegantly put down his fork, picked up the cup beside him, and took a sip of water.
He then looked at Malcolm and said, "Mr. Lowe, you seem to be very interested in Lynn?"
Hearing the words "Lynn" again, Malcolm's face instantly turned cold.
Roland also looked cold.
The two of them looked at each other with cold eyes.
It seemed that they were trying to make the other person admit defeat by glaring at him.
Malcolm laughed mockingly. "Mr. Harrison, why did you call her by her nickname? What are you trying to say?"
Roland smiled, avoiding the question. He asked, "Mr. Lowe, why did you investigate Lynn?"
Although Malcolm had many cruel rumors, he had a good character. As a person in the circle, he still knew this!
Malcolm narrowed his eyes. "Mr. Harrison, are you meddling in my business?" he asked.
If it weren't for the fact that Roland and Jeannie had been helping to take care of the children and Marilyn for the past seven years, Malcolm wouldn't have appeared here tonight.
Roland said in a serious tone, "Mr. Lowe, I came here this time to ask you to let Lynn go. She has been having a hard time all these years. Do you know how deeply your affection would hurt her?"
His stepmother, Yvonne, had been investigating the relationship between Marilyn and Malcolm!
Malcolm's heart tightened. He knew what Roland was referring to.
Since Malcolm knew that he was investigating Marilyn, he must know Yvonne was investigating Marilyn too.
It was precisely because of this that he stayed away from Marilyn during this period. But even so, Yvonne wouldn't stop.
Malcolm's heart was filled with schemes!
Malcolm subconsciously clenched the cup in his hand. He had not thought of a better solution for this.
He could not stalk Marilyn all the time.
"What do you mean?" he asked deliberately.
Roland frowned. "Mr. Lowe, stop playing dumb."
Whenever thinking about the beautiful woman with curved eyebrows and a bright and pure smile, the affection in his heart surged like a tide!
That was the person he wanted to put on the tip of his heart and would never allow anyone to hurt her!
Malcolm looked laid back. He narrowed his deep eyes and replied casually, "I don't understand what you mean."
Roland loved Marilyn a lot, but what about Marilyn?
Roland had done enough for Lynn.
"Malcolm!" Roland was furious.
Malcolm looked at Roland coldly.
Roland, Sorry!
