Before anyone else moved I jumped up and punched Blake in the balls. He groaned and doubled over in pain.
"Bitch," he groaned, but he managed to grab my arm and yank me backward. I crashed into the van wall and hissed in pain when I hit my head.
"Everyone, get in!" Jack yelled and I groaned when the doors to the van slammed. I was trapped.
"The balls?" Blake winced and grabbed my arm, shoving me back down back onto the bench. "Really?"
"Don't be such a baby," I muttered and he pulled a gun out of the waistband of his jeans and directed a blow to my temple. "That's just rude," I groaned as my head rang and black dots clouded my vision. It wasn't hard enough to knock me out, but after getting shoved into the van door and hitting my head on the van wall it was certainly enough to daze me.
Blake reached under the bench and I heard the chinking of chains. I was too dazed to fight back, I could barely concentrate on sitting up straight let alone fighting Blake. He lifted a handful of chains and handcuffed my hands together. He did the same to my feet and then clipped the handcuffs to a metal bar underneath the bench. My hands and feet were connected by a piece of chain and I sighed.
I really was trapped.
"Is this all really necessary?" One of the guys I didn't know asked. "She doesn't exactly look fit enough to fight back."
"She could be dying and still put up a fight," Jack scoffed. "That's Daisy for you."
"When I can think straight and not see two of you I am going to kill you," I growled and Jack grinned.
"How long have you been coughing blood?" He wondered and I weakly pulled against the chains. "Have you had any migraines yet? What about sickness?"
"You're giving me a migraine," I hissed and started to cough violently again. I couldn't move my hands higher than my waist so I couldn't cover my mouth and I coughed up blood. Blake saw this and he grabbed a tissue out of his pocket and covered my mouth with it. My coughing fit lasted for about 5 minutes and when I was done I groaned and leaned back against the van wall. Blake dropped the bloody tissue and wiped his hands on my jeans, smirking at me when I glared at him.
He took a seat opposite me and I looked around to see everyone staring at me.
Eli was sitting next to me and he frowned. "What did you do to her?" He wondered. "She looks like shit."
"Thanks," Jack grinned.
"When we suspected she had thoughts about leaving so Jack poisoned her," Blake explained.
"It works slowly and gets worse over time. You get sick, bad headaches and your stomach feels like it's being ripped apart from the inside, that's why she's coughing up blood," Jack said.
"How do you stop it?" One of the random guys asked.
"We have an antidote," Jack said.
"What would happen if she didn't get it?"
"She'd die," Eli guessed.
"Bingo," I said and rolled my eyes.
"I thought you didn't want her dead," Eli said.
"We knew she'd either turn herself in if she got too ill or because she was ill she'd slip up and we'd find her," Blake said.
"How did you find me?"
"You missed a camera," Blake shrugged.
"Where?"
"Two girls taking a selfie," Jack laughed. "You were in the background."
"Fucking hell," I sighed. "What's going to happen to me when we get back to the Agency? Deserters get killed."
"But we all know that isn't going to happen to you," Jack smirked.
"So what is?"
"You'll find out when we return," Blake shrugged and his eyes landed on my thigh. My jeans were stained red with blood. "Jack, pass us the first aid kit." Jack reached under the bench and lifted a first aid kit, he handed it to Blake who put on a pair of gloves and then knelt in front of me. "Try anything and I will not hesitate to smash your lovely face in, Daisy," Blake warned.
"I thought you were a team. You aren't exactly friendly," one of the guys I didn't know called and Blake turned to glare at him.
"In case you didn't realize, Daisy is one of the best. If she wasn't ill, tied up, and probably concussed she would be doing everything in her power to defeat us. She would probably kill you three," Blake nodded to Eli and the two guys I didn't know, "and if she was feeling nice she'd leave me and Jack with a lovely flesh wound; nothing that would kill us, but it would put us out of action for a long time. She's a killer, just like us. She's one of the best. Just because she's a girl doesn't make her less ruthless. There is a reason why I haven't put a bullet in her, it's because we used to be a team. If it was anyone else I would have shot them and we'd be done with it. This is treating her friendly."
"Blake's a lovely person, as well as hitting you in the head with a gun, he also enjoys stabbing you during training," I said sarcastically.
"It was an accident," Blake muttered.
Jack snorted. "Accident my ass! You were just annoyed that she didn't want to sleep-" A cold look from both me and Blake shut Jack up and Blake took a pair of scissors out of the first aid box.
I eyed the scissors and tried to figure out a way of grabbing them from Blake with my hands cuffed together.
"Don't even think about it," Blake warned. "These will be going into your stomach if your hands so much as twitch, Daisy."
"Are they always this polite to each other?" Eli asked and I turned to glare at him.
"Woah, what the hell are you doing?" I demanded when Blake started to cut through my jeans. "Damn it, these were new, you bastard."
"Stop whining," Blake said and rolled his eyes. "I need to get a clear view of the cut."
"Cut?" I repeated. "It's a little more than a cut, Blake. You should know considering you stabbed me."
"I said it was an accident," Blake muttered and I watched as he cut my jeans down to mid-thigh. Once he had cut away the jeans covering my wound he cut through the blood-soaked bandages and chucked them on the floor. My leg was a bloody mess and Blake sighed as he wiped most of the blood away with a wipe. "Stitches have ripped, you'll need new ones."
"Now?"
"It's a long drive back to base unless you want to bleed out then yes now," Blake said. "The wound has reopened completely."
"I think I'd rather bleed out than go back," I said and Blake scoffed. He started to thread a sterilized needle and looked up at me.
"I got nothing to numb the pain, it's going to hurt," he said and I saw a bottle of vodka get passed to Blake.
"Why the hell have you got vodka?" I said.
"There's nothing else to clean the wound with," Blake shrugged.
"Oh shit, no, you're not pouring that on- Ah fuck!" I yelled out in pain when Blake poured the vodka over my leg and I hissed when it burned my wound. "Bastard," I growled.
"Eli, mind holding her leg down?" Blake said and Eli nodded, crouching down in front of me and placing his hands firmly on my knee. "Try not to move much."
"Wasn't planning on it," I muttered.
Blake hovered the needle over my skin and I groaned when we went over a bump in the road and my head hit the van wall again. "Shit," Blake cursed and hit on the wall separating us from Oli who was driving. "Careful, man, I'm trying to stitch up Daisy!"
"I've always hated needles," I grumbled and Blake positioned the needle near the top of my thigh. It was only then that I realized that both Eli and Blake had a clear view of part of my lacy thong because of where Blake had cut my jeans.
"Daisy, are you blushing?" Blake teased when he noticed what I was looking at. "Can't say the same about Eli, but it's nothing I've not seen before."
I so desperately wanted to punch the smirk off Blake's face, but because he was holding a needle so close to my flesh I stopped myself.
"Just do it," I muttered and Blake pushed the needle through my skin. I hissed and gritted my teeth as Blake worked. Eli tightened his grip on my leg and forced it still. Blake had lots of experience stitching wounds, but he'd never had to deal with being in a bumpy van before. "Watch it!" I groaned when the van jolted and the needle tugged painfully on my skin.
After a few more minutes Blake finished and tied the thread off. He wiped up the blood and packed the first aid kit away. "Sorted," he said and Eli let go of my leg and took his seat beside me. I watched Blake as he picked up the bottle of vodka and took a swig, he then proceeded to pour the rest over my wound.
"Jesus Christ!" I yelled and gasped in pain. "Fuck, Blake! What the hell!" I tried to kick Blake, but the cuffs didn't give me much space to move and Blake retreated to his seat opposite me. "Fucking hell, was that necessary!"
"That's for kicking me in the balls," he shrugged.
"You're such a cunt!" I hissed, but he just smiled at me.
"Looks like someone won't be getting fucked for a while," Jack said, grinning smugly at Blake.
"Shut the fuck up," I said and narrowed my eyes at Jack.
"Do you three ever stop bickering?" Eli said, barely looking at us. "It's rather irritating."
"Oh, I'm sorry," I said sarcastically. "Would you like to be excused? Just open the door and jump in front of a bus, then you won't have to listen to us."
"I'd rather throw you in front of a bus," Eli shrugged.
"In case you forgot, you all kidnapped me. I didn't choose to be here, so you can either sit there and listen to us bicker or fuck off," I snapped.
"Or I can shut you up," Eli shrugged.
"Oh go fuck yourself, you stuck-up asshole," I scowled.
"She'll calm down soon enough," Blake said. "She's mainly just angry that she let herself get caught. She's usually a rather calm person."
"I find that hard to believe," Eli muttered and I glared at him, moving my cuffed foot over and stamping on his foot. "Hey!" He snapped and harshly elbowed me in the ribs.
"Ow, shit," I gasped, flinching at the harsh blow.
"I will knock you out," Eli warned.
"Oh I'm shitting a brick," I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. I ignored Eli after that and focused on planning my escape.
I went silent for the next few hours. My head was completely clear now and I had a plan. I discretely looked around and saw that no one was paying attention to me. I started to pull on the handcuffs, trying to pull my hand out without having to dislocate my thumb. I only needed one free hand for this. I gritted my teeth when I realized I was achieving nothing. I had to dislocate my thumb. I tried to not show any pain as I did it and I slowly pulled my hand out of the handcuff. As soon as it was free I reached for the gun sticking out of Eli's pocket, but before I could grab it his hand shot out and grabbed my wrist. He twisted my hand up at an excruciating angle and I yelled out in pain.
"You're rather predictable, Daisy," Eli said and I tried to get out of his hold. "Stand down and I won't break your arm."
"Get off me!" I growled.
"We did it your way and it didn't work. She's been planning how to escape since she went silent a few hours ago. Now we do it my way," Eli said sternly and Blake shrugged his shoulders.
"Do your worst," he said and suddenly my world went black.
