Darian didn't sleep in the room, he knew Lena was mad at him and he chose to respect her feelings by staying away from her all through the night.
In the morning, he leaned against the doorway, the courage to open the door had seeped out of him. He had never been like this, he'd always been the authoritative type and he always got away with whatever he did. But with Lena, the story was different.
He cheated on her, and he felt so bad about it. Sighing softly, he pressed the doorknob, opening the door to the bedroom. He slipped in and walked towards the bedside.
Lena was still sleeping when he got in, he wanted to get close to her, comb her hair with his fingers and place soft kisses on her hairline. But he couldn't do that when she was so mad at him. He fed his eyes with the beautiful sight of her sleeping. He quickly glanced away when she stirred on the bed, she stretched out her arms and let out a soft yawn.
"Good morning," he greeted her when their eyes locked, hoping she'd reply to him. Lena rolled her eyes and turned to the other side, avoiding him as best as she could. "Lena," he called, sauntering to her side.
"Don't come close, Darian." She halted him. She knew that she could melt if Darian touched her.
She was angry, but his touch, gaze and whispers could easily make her knees grow weak. They were stronger than her defence, it was best that she stayed far from him.
"Why would you want me to stay away from you?" He asked, distressed. "I am sorry for what I did, Lena. I take responsibility for my actions. I am sorry," he attempted to touch her, but she jerked away from him. "Lena."
"Just leave me alone, Darian! Let me be." She got off the bed, slipping on her slides. She made for the door, but Darian stood in her way, thwarting her from going forward. "Get out of my way, Darian." She yelled at him.
He looked at her, grabbing her arms. He pulled her closer to his chest.
"What do you want me to do to make you forgive me?" He whispered in her ears.
She shut her eyes and pushed him away from her. He grabbed her again, not letting go of her.
Lena struggled to break free from his stronghold, but she wasn't successful. She hit him and cried.
"Get the fuck off me, Darian. Just leave me alone, there is nothing you can do to appease me. I don't care if you want her or anyone, just leave me alone!"
"I don't want anyone, Lena. I want you, don't you get that?" He yelled back, immediately regretting his action. "I am sorry, Lena." His voice became soft again.
"Does sorry just solve everything? Did you think of me when you were sleeping with her? Did you even think about how I would feel if I found out about it? Did you?" She shook her head, smiling sadly. "No, you didn't. You didn't think about me or my feelings. You never wanted me in the first place, I guess I pushed you too hard. I am the only one who wants this marriage to work, you do not give a damn about us!" She poked her fingers at his chest and flounced out of the bedroom before Darian replied to her.
He fell on the bed when Lena was out of the room, rubbing his palm against his temples. He didn't know what else to do at this point. It was obvious Lena wouldn't forgive him if he just continued begging her.
He was confused, he had never been in that kind of a situation. He had been with different ladies in the past and cheated on them with another, and they didn't flare up when they got to know.
Cheating on them had never been an issue to him, but cheating on Lena was a big issue to him, he didn't only break her heart, but he hurt himself as well because his heart hurt whenever he made Lena unhappy.

Tina was back at the house after the short break she was given by Lena. She noticed the silent treatment between Lena and Darian as she served their food at the dining table.
"I would like to eat alone henceforth, Tina. Don't bother to call me whenever you want to serve the table." Lena told Tina who had a surprised look on her face.
"Yes, ma'am." Tina bowed, leaving them to eat.
"Lena," Darian didn't pick up the cutleries to eat.
He placed his hand on his chin, taking a cursory glance at Lena as she ate her food like the food tasted bitter in her mouth.
"If you don't want me to eat in your house anymore, I will stop." She said in a stern voice.
"Lena, I am sorry." He ignored her rant. "I was mad that day, I have never cheated on you until that day and I was just mad that you accused me of cheating on you when I was being faithful. Guess I was foolish, I am sorry for hurting your feelings, can you forgive me?"
"It's so easy for you to ask me to forgive you, isn't it?" She asked, glaring at him. She dropped the cutleries on the plate.
"I am sorry," Darian drooped his head in shame. "I have hurt you badly, and I am sorry about that."
"Of course, that's what you will say for lying to me and cheating on me." She threw her hands in resentment, "Why am I having this conversation with you, Darian? You do not care about me."
"I do," he countered her, "You know I do, Lena. I have never cared about anyone the way I do care about you. I was mad and didn't think straight, I regret my actions. Please forgive me."
"If you'd let me, I would like to eat, please."
"Lena, please, let's talk about this."
"Fine, if you won't let me eat. I will leave." She straightened out of the chair and grabbed her phone that was on the table.
"Lena," he called, but she didn't look back one time at him.
She was hurting, finding it too hard to forget that Darian cheated on her. She had to stay away from him, to have time to herself and think about them.
She wasn't sure of them anymore, she wasn't sure she knew who Darian was anymore.
A few days ago, he was the sweet, caring and the best man she wished for, but things changed when Thelma brought those pictures.
She could no longer look at him the same way she always did, and she was furious about that.
She had never thought that Darian would cheat on her. The news was shocking to her, she wasn't ready to handle it when she heard it and now, she was angrier that she didn't know what to do.
She was afraid she'd lose Darian too. It wasn't easy to forgive and forget what he did. It hurt her to the deepest part of her heart, but she also didn't want to lose him.
Darian was the only man she'd ever loved and completely given her heart to. It was bad that she couldn't live without him even when she was so mad at him.
