Wedded To The Ruthless Mafia Boss

A game?

Ch. 126 / 166 Jan 15, 2026

"What are we doing here?" Lena asked, leading the way into Darian's safe space. She had been there once and she had almost forgotten the place existed. She looked back at him and smiled. "Will you let me hold your hands?"

"No, I am fine." He shook his head. He didn't want to be babied anymore, his arm was not hurting like it used to.

"Why did you bring me here today?" She repeated her question, in case he didn't hear her the first time.

"I wanted to get out of the house, it's almost suffocating, you know." He said, bumping hips with her as they walked close to the lotus pond. "Now that I am here, I feel so refreshed." He smiled, smirking at his wife. "What about you, how do you feel?"

Lena shrugged her shoulders, "Just normal, I am not just happy that your arm is in a cast. I wish you could make sure of the arm."

"Hmm, on the bed?" He arched his eyebrows at her.

"No, Darian!" She yelled, embarrassed. "I wasn't even thinking about that. Come on," she hit him lightly, blushing hard.

He laughed.

"Let’s sit down. I can't stand for long."

"Sure," She walked behind him, taking pictures of his back view.

Darian was clad in a pair of white canvas, blue Jean trousers and a white t-shirt. He looked so elegant as he took slow strides towards the table. Even with the disfigured arm, he was still so hot.

Jay dropped Darian's phone on the table and went to stand a distance away from them. Lena packed her hair into a bun and heaved a drained sigh like it was something strenuous.

Darian shook his head as he gazed at his beautiful wife. Her hair was messy but in a very cute way, and she had on her body, the same white tee-shirt he wore. Same blue Jean trousers too, she had chosen the outfits when he told them they were going out. He wasn't the type to dress so casually, but to make her happy, he did what she wanted and she loved it so much.

"How do you feel, Darian?"

"About what exactly?"

"Being in the house for three weeks, not attending to the mafia affairs and your office stuff because the Doctors put you on bed rest." She placed her hands on the table, fixating her eyes on him.

"I wouldn't have listened to the Doctors if it weren't for you. I hate to be idle, but you would never let me be, you haunt me whenever I try to work. I just have to drop everything for now, because of you." He emphasised, his eyes darting around the serene environment. "But it's been good with you, I love spending time with you, it makes me feel good."

"Hmm," Lena nodded her head. "I am glad you love spending time with me. At least you know that I can always make you happy and get you out of boredom." She placed her hand on her forehead and waved them at him. He smiled at her, wondering if she was fine.

"You make me so happy, Lena."

"You make me happy too, baby." She laughed when she said the words. "You know we should give each other titles, what do you think?" She spread out her hand to take his hand on the table. "I can call you baby, what would you like to call me?"

"Lena," he said plainly. "I love to call you by your name, I told you that before."

"Yes, you did. Let's forget about that." She said with a bored expression. Darian didn't seem interested in the name. She pressed a finger to her chin, thinking of what they could do together.

Darian tried to grab the plate of fruit on the table, but it wasn't within his grasp. He sighed and gave up. Lena noticed the struggle a little late, so she quickly pushed the plate next to him.

“I should cut that for you too." She hopped on her feet to sit closer to him. Digging the knife into the apple, she parted it into two and fed one to him, chomping on the other half.

"Do you want to play a game with me?" She asked him.

"A game?"

"Yes, two truths and a lie. Do you want to play?"

"It sounds interesting, let's go." He nudged her with his head. "How does it work, though?"

"I will tell you three things and you will figure out which ones are the truth and the lie." She explained.

"What if I don't get the truth, will I have to tell what the truth is later on?"

"Yes, you have to. What's the essence of playing the game if you won't?" She rolled her eyes playfully. "I will go first," she winked at him and started. "I find you attractive, I love to watch you sleep, and I don't hate the fact that you are stuck at home with me all day. Point out the truths and tell the lie."

"Truth," Darian wagged his fingers in front of her. "Of course, you find me attractive, you love to watch me sleep, I caught you once, you had your eyes on me while I pretended to be asleep and I know well that you love the fact that I am home with you. You've always wanted us to spend time together. So, where is the lie?"

"There is a lie, Darian. I don't find you attractive." She laughed, he got them right. There was no lie.

"Oh, but you called me a beautiful devil, didn't you?" He smiled wickedly, he had gotten her there and there was no way she could deny it anymore. "You don't find me attractive, yet you take pictures of me all the time."

"Darian," she looked away, defeated. "Okay, fine. You are attractive, not just attractive, you are the most handsome man I have seen and I am serious about that."

"Of course I am." He bragged.

"Your turn, two truths and a lie." She said.

Darian thought carefully before talking. He looked at Lena and said. "I found my mother, I cheated on you, I was married before I met you."

Lena clasped her hands together, laughing so hard. "Are you trying to get back at me now?" She shook her head, her husband could sometimes be petty. She pondered on his words and looked up at him. "You haven't found your mother," she knew that he would let her know if he did, she was his wife after all. "I trust you, Darian. And I know that you can't cheat on me and lastly, you've never been married before me. They are all lies."

He smiled. If only she knew, he felt so bad for the things he had done to her, but he didn't want to break her heart anymore.

Thelma had called him after he was discharged from the hospital, and he had warned her to stay away from him, which she did, there was no call from her again after that day.

"Let's go," she squealed.

"I don't want to play anymore," Darian told her. Her eyes widened, she was disappointed.

"I guess the game is a boring one." She nibbled on her lips, bobbing her head to a song playing in her head.

"No, it isn't. I just don't have too many truths to dish out to you." He said.

"Darian," she called and he looked at her, his heart was beating loudly when she just stared at him like she was seeing him for the first time.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked.

"No, nothing. There is something I would like to tell you but I don't know if you want to know about it." She pressed her lips together shyly. "It's not about us, but about Lisa. I think she has a crush on Harrison, and I have seen how he looks at her whenever she is around, they like each other."

"Oh, I see. That's cool, I never knew Harrison could like a girl, he looks so strong."

"You aren't mad about that?" She asked, surprised.

"Why should I be mad about it?" He hissed loudly. "I have you, and that's enough for me. I do not care about others' relationships. Harrison is an adult, he can choose to date whomever he wants to date." Darian jerked his shoulder.

"Thank you," she placed her hand over his and stroked her fingers.

"I should thank you for never leaving my side."

"I don't plan to ever leave your side, I love you too much to leave you alone."

He smiled. "Come here," she didn't protest, she went to sit on his lap, he seemed to like that. He kissed her forehead and traced kisses down her neck. She melted in his arms.

"I love it here." She said, her eyes wandering the environment. "We should visit here more often."

"We should," he tilted her head to his side, stretching his neck.

He crashed his lips on her unexpectedly. Lena received the wetness of his lips and slowly, she opened up, letting him kiss her skilfully and passionately.

The kiss lasted for too long. Lena loved it whenever he kissed her and Darian couldn't always bring himself to stop whenever their lips connected. He always wanted to kiss her for a very long time, he loved how her lips filled his. She was everything that he needed, no other one but her.

Jay watched them as they kissed. Smiling, he wished for a relationship like theirs. He could see the love in their eyes whenever they were together and if ever wanted a woman, he wanted a woman like his boss's wife.
