What's this?" The young teen asked and furrowed her sword shaped eye brows.
" It's an energy booster drink. It was beside your food, but you didn't see it, because your mind was clouded earlier with fooooood," Anatalia responded to Lexa's question calmly and grinned widely, while emphasizing on the word, " food."
Lexa rolled her eyes but chuckled softly. She was surprised that Anatalia brought her an energy smile, and she really felt touched.
" Oh Ana, thank you for giving me this. You are a true friend and honestly, I really need the drink."
Anatalia shook her head and decided to let it out, " It wasn't me, it was Prince Arnold. He told me to give you this, including the food you just ate."
Immediately those words came out, she could see how Lexa knitted her brows, resulting into a small frown. It appears the young teen was also stunned about this.
" What do you mean? Prince Arnold? But......I.....," Lexa didn't get what she just heard from Anatalia and struggled to say something, but she couldn't.
She didn't want to have anything to do with Arnold, let alone talk to him and was even planning for a way to avoid him, but she wasn't expecting him to do this. As she tried to recollect, they didn't even talk much or know each other, so why was he suddenly being nice to her? It made her questioned herself, and she spaced out for some seconds.
" Is there something going on between you guys? Cause, it somehow odd to see the Prince acting nice to a servant," Anatalia stared straight into Lexa's eyes, that were still displaying how shocked she was.
" What?"
Lexa was startled to hear what Anatalia said just now. It sounded sort of offensive, and she didn't like it one bit.
" Please Anatalia, I would really like it if you don't ask me any annoying question and no, there is nothing going on between us."
She made a negative sign with her hands and gave a stern look to Anatalia.
" Sorry, I didn't mean it that way okay? But honestly, I'm curious," Anatalia apologized and moved closer to Lexa, wanting to hear some words from her.
Lexa twisted her mouth, " Curious about what?"
" C'mon, I just want to know why Prince Arnold treated you nicely." Anatalia smiled sheepishly and poked Lexa's left shoulder with her finger.
Lexa sighed, " I don't know to be honest."
The young girl didn't also know why the Prince treated her like that, and she was suddenly curious to know. Then, her mind drifted to the words exchange between the both of them, and instantly she felt guilty for acting that way towards him. Maybe, I should have been nice, she thought but shrugged.
It's just a food, so why should I start feeling guilty? She questioned herself and shook her head.
" Hey! What are you thinking about? I have been calling you for a minute now, but it seems you spaced out? Are you okay?"
Anatalia shook Lexa's left arm and looked worriedly at her, pulling her brows together at the same time.
" Huh?" Lexa freed her arm from Anatalia's grasp and shook her head.
" I'm fine, just thinking about a lots of things," The young teen explained herself and took a deep breath.
" What are you thinking that much to the extent, your mind flew away from here," Anatalia heaved a breath of relief and tried to tease Lexa, but the latter just chortled.
" Care to tell me?" Lexa heard Anatalia's sweet voice again.
" Tell you what?"
" What you were thinking of course,"
The female servant rolled her eyes but was already expecting Lexa to start talking.
" Fine."
The young girl exhaled and started explaining about her encounter with Arnold, how she acted towards him, and the words she uttered to him. She even told Anatalia about how Arnold tried to help her, when Belle was giving orders to her.
After some minutes, she was done and stared at Anatalia, anxious to hear what the latter was going to say.
Anatalia was amazed to hear Lexa's narration and was really happy for her but at the same time, she was scared for Lexa. Because, Belle might take it to something else later, though Arnold was Belle's mate, but it still didn't mean she wouldn't be insecure.
" Lexa, how could you act like that to him?"
The young girl rolled her eyes again at Anatalia's words and wondered why she asked that kind of a question.
" Why can't I?" Lexa threw a question back to Anatalia, instead of an answer.
" You should know the reason. Well, whateve, you are free to act the way you like."
Anatalia was slightly annoyed with Lexa's behavior, but she was aware that was Lexa's attitude.
Lexa didn't know if she was harsh at Arnold or not, but she made it up in her mind to look for him and thank him for his nice act.
Then, she thought about Arnold being Belle's mate and wondered the kind of joy one has, when he or she gets to know whoever his or her mate was.
" Ana, how does one find a mate?"
She questioned Anatalia out of the blue and could see how Anatalia raised her left brow up.
" A mate? Is there something you are not telling me?" Anatalia inquired and pondered on why Lexa asked a question like that.
Lexa groaned and pouted annoyingly, " I just want to know, that's all."
She was getting frustrated with how Anatalia was asking her annoying questions and wondered if there was a way to shut her up.
The female servant noticed Lexa's current expression and knew the young girl wasn't joking anymore. So, she also straightened her face and wore a solemn look.
" Alright, alright, I will tell you. Finding one's mate is like a blessing, because not every werewolves get the chance to be with their mates. But each werewolves find their mate in different ways.
" Some might be through scents, some might be through their heart beat, and some might be through instincts. It all comes in different way my dear, but let's hope to find our own soon," Anatalia explained seriously and once she was done, she smiled encouragely at Lexa.
The young girl was glad to know more about the mate stuffs, and she felt a tinge of excitement knowing she might also get a chance to find her mate.
" Thank you so much for explaining all these."
Lexa stood up and embraced Anatalia in a warm hug. They both stayed like that for some seconds, before they disengaged the embrace.
" It nothing at all, am satisfied to let you know all that."
The female servant gave a toothy grin.
Lexa nodded and smiled with content.
