Ch. 113 / 120 Jan 16, 2026

After Anatalia left, some few minutes later, Lexa woke up with a red rimmed eyes and her muscles were sore.

The first thing she espied was a black attractive wall. Some deep lines appeared on the crown of her head, wondering why there was a black wall in her room. But when she scanned the whole room with her dull eyes, she discovered this wasn't her room.

Though, Lexa was supposed to panicked, but instead she remained calm and adjusted herself. Thinking this was room was too fancy to be hers but looking at it again, the girl actualised it was a man room. But she didn't flinched.

Then, suddenly all the previous memories of what happened earlier came flooding into her head, and it made her head hurt a bit which had her to scrunched up her face.

Lexa remembered, and it dawned on her, she lost her consciousness earlier. Closing her eyes and sighing quietly, she opened her eyes again. Now staring at the attractive black wall but on a closer look, it wasn't a black wall but a man!

Lexa pulled her brows together and moved closer to the man but when she was almost close to the man, the unknown man unexpectedly turned to face her.

" You are awake," the unknown man smiled at her and she blinked her eyes, wanting to confirm if the unknown man was really Arnold or not.

" Is this your room?"

Lexa asked surprisingly, still frowning, but her eyes were beginning to get clear from the red lines.

" Huh yes," Arnold nodded and answered her. His expression was now gentle. He was happy to see her awake, and she looked more natural.

Lexa hissed and quickly tried to get up on hearing Arnold's answer. She hated trouble, but now she was in trouble, and she bit her bottom lip gently.

But as she placed her feet on the ground and tried to stand up, she lost her balance. She had no idea her muscles were really weak and there was no strength in her again.

She didn't expect that, and she shut her eyes almost instantly.

Arnold was confused when he saw Lexa getting out of his bed just because he told him she was in his room. But soon, he pushed the thought away and quickly moved to save Lexa.

He caught her just right in time before she sustained any injury.

" You are still weak and you need to rest! You shouldn't stress yourself like this," Arnold scolded her as he picked her up in a bridal style and tenderly placed her back on his comfy bed.

Lexa pouted but didn't say anything. She hated the word ' weak', and it made her mad. The girl turned her head sideways, away from Arnold's view and exhaled.

" I will be fine in my room, I don't have to be in your room," she quietly whispered, audible enough for the Prince.

Arnold chuckled and shook his head, " I won't be able to monitor you in your room, so it best for you to be here," he disagreed with her and stood up to get a glass of water.

Lexa rolled her eyes, " I don't need you to monitor me Prince Arnold."

" But I want to, and you can't stop me,"

Arnold turned back to look at her with a glass in his left palm, and he grinned, showing his perfect set of oyster white teeth.

He was delighted to see her acting annoying again, and it give bliss to his heart.

Lexa's green eyes dimmed, and she locked her jaws, " You have no right to keep me here! I want to be in my room, and I don't need you to monitor me!"

She was getting pissed off even though she knew the Prince might only be teasing her but right now, she wasn't in the mood for that.

Arnold stopped his actions and curled his lips ups, while his hazel eyes sparkled, " Tch! You are so ungrateful, is that how to say thank you to your saviour?"

Lexa sat up straight and remembered it was true. Arnold was the one who saved her from Belle, and she suddenly hid her face away in embarrassment. How could she forget that and how could she act like that towards him. A sense of guilt overwhelmed her, and she shook her head.

Well, she couldn't blame herself since she thought it wasn't okay to be in Arnold's room, as it might cause more problems for her and the girl didn't want that.

Arnold noticed all her guilty expression, and he made a throaty chuckle. He went back to sit beside Lexa and passed her a warm glass of water.

He could see how she was hesitating to take the water and she couldn't face him. He didn't want that, and he thought of making it clear to her.

" You don't have to feel guilty, I can understand you but relax, no one will dare to implicate you okay? Don't forget who I am and what I can do."

His deep sexy voice danced into Lexa's ears, and she slowly looked up at him but not his eyes.

" Take the water, you need to drink something first." She heard him urging her and with no choice now, she took the water and drank it all swiftly.

" Thank you," Lexa managed to voice out, and she immediately pressed her lips together.

Arnold smirked at her, " It nothing."

" I think I should go now," Lexa said with some amount of courage. She was actually grateful to Arnold for saving her, but there are somethings she couldn't ignore. She was a girl who only craved to live a very simple peaceful life, but her wish wasn't coming true.

Being seen together with a Prince like Arnold would definitely be bad for her, especially since he was Belle's mate. She couldn't take the risk, so she need to avoid this.

" No, you are staying here!"

Arnold didn't like how Lexa wanted to leave his room, and it changed his mood. He felt like he should be close to her. There was just something about her that he couldn't comprehend. So, he commanded her, and his voice now carried an air of authority, even his expression was now a solemn one.

Lexa stared unbelievable at Arnold, but all she could see was his seriousness and she frowned, not liking how he was commanding her. But before she could say anything to protest, a knock sounded and both people in the room turned their gaze towards the door.
