" That must be Anatalia," Arnold muttered and shifted a little bit away from Lexa. He didn't want Anatalia to start having ideas about him and Lexa.
Lexa heard what Arnold said, but she wasn't happy which was simply because, she knew Anatalia would be displeased in her. She was aware that, hiding how sick she was from Anatalia might lead to her getting scold, but she didn't mean it. The girl was just not used to telling people about how she feels or whatever was going on with her. Lexa was only used to doing things on her own.
" Come in," Arnold replied to the knock and turned back to face Lexa.
Anatalia stepped into the fancy room, holding a medium sized food tray which contained medicinal soup. The soup aroma wafted around the room as Anatalia entered, and Lexa subconsciously closed her eyes as if savouring the spicy smell of the soup.
The moment the female servant closed the door behind her and turned to the front, her eyes landed to the awake Lexa. Instantly, she was covered with mixed feelings and didn't know how to react. She was disappointed in Lexa not telling her anything and hiding things like this from her.
Lexa opened her eyes and saw how Anatalia was looking at her. With the look that was on her, she felt guilty again, but she hated that guilt feeling. The girl wasn't comfortable, and she shifted her face away from Anatalia. But her face landed on the food tray that Anatalia already planning on. She licked her lips, and her stomach growled slightly.
Lexa planned to explain things later to Anatalia but first, she need to take in something.
Arnold noticed the strange look between Lexa and Anatalia, but he didn't say anything. And silently observed the two of them.
" Leave us!"
He ordered Anatalia and gestured for her to leave the room.
He had his reason for saying that, and it was because he saw how uncomfortable Lexa was.
Anatalia was stunned, and she wore an annoyed look, but she didn't dare to say anything. She nodded her head and turned her back, ambling out of the Arnold's fancy room.
She was still going to give Lexa a piece of her mind and nothing will stop her.
_
Back in the room, Lexa paused her lips and glared at Arnold.
" You are mean!"
" Not to everybody," Arnold glanced at her and chuckled. He was only mean and harsh to certain people, especially if they aren't close to him.
" Whatever!" Lexa rolled her eyes and twisted her lips.
After that, she moved to grab the food tray on the small stool, but Arnold was fast, and he grabbed the food tray first.
" It's not for you! And am fucking starving!" Lexa groaned annoyingly and continued to glare at Arnold. She was pissed with what Arnold did.
Arnold saw how mad she was, and he grinned. It was amusing to him, and he couldn't stop himself from smiling.
" I know."
" Then, pass me the food tray!" Lexa hissed and crossed her arms together.
" I will feed you," Arnold said and moved closer to Lexa but didn't allow her to reach the food tray. He didn't even know when he blurted that out, but he just felt like doing it, and he didn't really put much thought to it.
" What? No way!" Lexa bluntly refused and lay back on the bed. She couldn't believe that.
What does he mean?
Feed me? Oh, he must be dreaming, Lexa thought and nodded.
" Alright, that means no food and soup for you," Arnold smirked teasingly and stood up from where he sat.
Lexa watched how Arnold stood up, and when she saw him walking towards the door, she squinted her eyes. It seems he was leaving the room with the soup, and he meant what he said.
But Lexa was starving!
" Wait!"
Arnold paused in his steps when he heard Lexa's voice and he grinned widely again, flaunting his perfect set of oyster white teeth.
Turning his back slightly, he sniggered quietly, " What is it?"
" You can't go!"
Lexa immediately answered him, but she didn't like it. She was a very egoistic person, so doing things like this actually hurt her ego.
" And why is that?" Arnold arched his brows and now, he was fully facing Lexa.
Lexa shook her head and took a deep breath to calm her raging heart.
" Am starving!"
" So?"
" So, I need to eat goddamn it!"
She sessed angrily and scoffed loudly. She was clearly irritated with Arnold's actions and even regretted thanking him earlier for saving her.
This was simply annoying!
" I know, and I will feed you," Arnold shrugged, but his lips was curled up in a mocking smile, and it totally irked Lexa. He strolled back to the bed side and placed the tray back on the small stool. Then, he picked up a spoon and dipped it into the soup, scooping some soup with it.
The Prince faced Lexa with his hand having a spoon full of soup, " Say ah."
Lexa's face darkened, and she pressed her lips together. She couldn't refuse it now, since her tommy was beginning to hurt. So she parted her lips and the spoon went into her little mouth.
She furrowed her brows as the medicinal soup dropped on her taste buds, but it was soon replaced with a smile as the soup turned into a sweet sour one.
Arnold nodded and also smiled. Seeing how she was content with the soup, he continued to feed her, until the soup was in an half.
Lexa had to admit she enjoyed how Arnold was feeding her, but she would never spill that out. Nobody has ever feed her like this and the feeling was new.
So is this how it feels to be cared for?
She questioned herself inwardly and realized she had missed a lot of things.
The girl sighed and wished her life wasn't like this.
Lexa finally relaxed and ate the food and soup happily. The taste was incredible, and she longed to have that taste every counting day.
Arnold saw Lexa's expression, and to be honest he was satisfied with it.
" Why was Anatalia staring at you that way earlier?"
The prince felt like initiating a conversation with Lexa and hopefully he could get to know more about her from there.
" Ohh, that..... Well, it's nothing actually," Lexa shook her head negatively and assured Arnold. She wasn't nervous, and instead she was calm as she replied to him.
But of course, she was lying.
