The wedding was an elegant and quiet one as Faith wanted.
The only people present were the hotel staff, her brother who didn't look at all pleased, a few of Sterling's colleagues were present as well. Thankfully, there were no journalists present.
Faith watched Sterling as he signed the documents in front of him and then it was her turn to do the same.
He returned her stare and Faith couldn't control the trembling of her fingers as he handed over the pen to her.
She was too anxious to even go through the documents before scribbling down her signature.

"You belong to me!" Sterling murmured before leaning to claim her lips with his, Faith shuddered when his arms wrapped around her waist as he held her against him. There was a bright glimmer in his eyes that sent goosebumps through her skin even as he possessed her mouth___ it wasn't a shiver of desire, it was of apprehension.

Sterling's lips ravaged the soft ones of his beautiful new wife. She was staring at him nervously, her fingers which were clenched on his suit jacket were paper white.

"She doesn't even know about the wedding, I think she will be furious! Besides you know this isn't what I'm talking about__" Sterling didn't listen to the rest of Rex's words as he set out in search of Faith.
Faith didn't go to the bathroom, she walked outside instead.
Taking a small walk in the cool evening air soothed her disarrayed spirit to some level.
She couldn't help but wonder what her life would become like, she already accepted that she had suddenly lost control over her life.
Her cell phone buzzed, disrupting her thoughts. It had to be Sterling Hunter, perhaps she had stayed outside for too long and he was now looking for her? Faith stared at her phone screen to see a familiar number that didn't belong to Sterling Hunter.
Dan Muller.
A frown etched on her features, why would Dan call her?
She proceeded to end the call, she didn't care to know what he wanted to tell her, he could go to hell! Faith thought.
Her cellphone rang again and she contemplated turning off her cellphone when an incoming text message displayed on her screen.

Faith scoffed at the small heart emoji below the message, she couldn't believe that she's once found that habit of Dan adorable.
The nerve of him to think she would want to meet him!
A small burst of laughter escaped Faith's throat, wasn't it hilarious that she and Dan broke up because he suspected her relationship with Sterling and now the same man was her husband?
Was there anything such as fate in this world?
She turned off her cell phone and hummed to the sound of the gentle breeze instead until she saw a familiar figure approaching. She stared at him in complete shock.
"What are you doing here?! How did you know where I was?!" Had he been stalking her?
Faith took a step away from Dan, preparing to scream if he tried anything.
"I understand everything now, Faith, I can't believe that I was such a fool!" His eyes turned moist, as he stepped closer. "I've been searching for you for the past two days to tell you that I should have believed and heard you out, you didn't have anything going on with him, I understand that now! My life has never been the same without you!"
Faith stared at her ex-boyfriend, she was still wondering how he located her so quickly, why was he saying all of these useless things now? If she knew this was what she was going to face, she would never have left the wedding hall.
"That's all in the past, I've moved on from everything, you should do the same!" She responded indifferently.
"It's been barely a month! I don't believe that you no longer love me! It's all that bastard's fault, I fucking should have known better! Please accept me back, I would do anything for your forgiveness!"
Faith couldn't hide her disgust, despite everything, Dan was still blaming Sterling, would he ever own up to his own mistakes? It didn't even matter anymore.
"I might be able to forgive you, but don't ever think that we can ever have anything between us anymore!"
Dan suddenly wore a serious expression, Faith gasped when he suddenly clasp her shoulders.
"What are you__"
"I have to warn you! I want you to stay away from Sterling! He's a cold-hearted bastard! You can't work for him anymore for your sake!" Dan seethed and Faith tried to shrug away from his grip but he held on tight.
"I kept thinking about what went wrong between us, he wants you for himself, it took some to realize that he must have planned everything to tear us apart from the very beginning, if only I hadn't believed his lie that you are his mistr___"
Dan couldn't manage to complete before a deep voice intruded.
"Get away from my wife this instant!"
