Faith brushed her teeth furiously and started to rinse her mouth.

She still fumed each time she recalled Emilia's phone call last evening.

The nerve of her!

She was starting to believe that Emilia was mentally unstable, she already won as she wanted, why did she continue to pester her life?

She splashed water on her face and rinsed her mouth again.

The morning sickness was the only reminder that she was still pregnant.

A lot had happened in the last 48 hours, and she had barely put her mind to thinking about what she wanted.

She quickly got dressed, this time she had completely made up her mind. After cursing herself throughout the last night for being a complete coward, she had made the decision to visit Sterling in the hospital, it didn't matter if he didn't remember who she was, she couldn't pretend that she hated and did not care about him for any longer.

Perhaps seeing him once would lessen the burden of the ever-present ache in her heart.

The cab stopped her in front of the hospital, the awareness that it was time to finally see him made her muscles taut with tension.

She walked inside the building and her brain replayed Emilia's words over and over again.

'___I'm afraid he will remember me and not you__"

As though straight from her thoughts, Faith suddenly spotted Emilia, and the woman was working towards her!

Faith wondered if Emilia had been here all night.

A quick wave of jealousy spread across her heart, Emilia could be with Sterling and see him whenever she wanted while she couldn't.

That would change!

She was Sterling's legal wife and had the foremost right!

"I guess we are fated to meet here again!"

Faith turned her head wondering why the woman didn't appear to get the clue that she was the last person she wanted to see.

"You don't want to speak to me after what I did, I understand. I got greedy for a moment when I thought he remembered me and not you__i didn't know why I__I did all of that." Emilia looked up at Faith.

"I sincerely want to apologize, and hope that you don't hate me."

Faith didn't believe Emilia's apology was genuine for a moment, but she also hadn't expected Emilia to suddenly apologize out of the blue, she had to be planning something.

"What do you want this time!" Faith snapped in irritation when Emilia continued to block her path.

"Nothing! I only want you to forgive what I did, I didn't realize just how much important you are to him__that he could never forget you!__"

Faith's heart suddenly jumped to her throat, did Sterling remember something?!

She looked to see Emilia staring at her with a strange look.

"You were right! I really do envy you!" She whispered.

"Why did I ever think I could compete with you for a man who just to ensure you didn't leave him pretended and forged an accident?" Emilia laughed under her breath.

" He even arranged everything, including his presumed memory loss."

Her words delivered a huge blast to Faith's heart, she had to hold her legs steady or she feared they would give way.

"You are lucky Faith, tell me, where can you find such a man in such times?"

"__You are lying!" Had been Faith's last words to Emilia.

"Why don't you meet your husband and you'll find out who has been lying to you." Emilia had replied confidently.

It couldn't be true!

Sterling couldn't fake his whole accident and memory loss!

While Faith didn't want to believe Emilia, she also wasn't fully confident to trust that Sterling couldn't stoop to that extent.

It was a confusion she had to clear up.

She needed to see the truth for herself. She had to see him!

Her hand was unstable as she lifted it to knock on the door.

There was no response.

She twisted the knob and her heart started to throb faster and faster. Pushing the door open, her eyes searched around the room until she found him.

His eyes were closed, was he sleeping?

She closed the door quietly and walked closer to stand at the side of the bed.

Her heart gave a pang as she studied him, it felt like months since she last saw him.

Look at me!

Her mind yelled.

Faith clenched her fists, willing her shaky hands to relax.

Please, tell me you didn't do all these things!

Had she spoken those words aloud?

She was shocked when his eyes blinked and suddenly snapped open.

His eyes held hers, she could see the disbelief, shortly replaced by surprise, and was sure about one thing.

"You remember!" She whispered furiously, tears prickling against the sides of her eyes.

She should have been excited, but now only suspicion showed in her eyes.

Her voice was the evidence Sterling needed to confirm that she was here and that he wasn't dreaming!

"You__" He had been too shocked to even pretend as though she was a stranger.

They stared at each other silently for long moments until Faith spoke, each word tearing straight from her heart.

"Why do you keep doing things__why do you continue to lie to me!"

She was talking about his loss of memory, Sterling thought as he tried to assist himself in a half-sitting position.

"I came up with that because I __" He started when she all but exploded.

"How could you?! Everything is just a game to you right?! I didn't think you could stoop any lower but this time you manage to surprise me again and again!" Faith couldn't control herself.

He had just admitted it himself.

It turned out Emilia was right. Again.

Words couldn't express how furious and disappointed his action left her.

"You wanted me to feel sorry for you, then I'll forgive and get back with you? I will say it now! I'm never going to return to you!" She snarled.

She met his simmering gaze with a glare of her own.

A gasp escaped her mouth when he suddenly struck, his iron grip crushing her wrists.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" His lips barely moved as his intense gaze burned through her.

"You came here, was it only to tell me these?!" He muttered more quietly, studying her closely. Faith hoped he saw the decision in her eyes.

"Nothing has changed, you left me more disappointed, that's all. I'm done with you, Mr. Sterling!"

Faith left the hospital.

They didn't see each other again after that.

Two weeks went past, it wasn't until the next did she finally received the documents.

The divorce papers.
