Sitting behind his desk, Beau tried to concentrate on his work, but thinking about what Sam and Mia might be doing across the office not only caused him immense distraction, it also had him feeling a little sick to his stomach.
He'd sent a text to Sam hours ago demanding that he let him know as soon as it was all over. His brother might just completely ignore him, but on the other hand, he might reply and at least alleviate the torture he was sitting through now, not that knowing his brother had fucked the woman he'd spent the whole weekend with, the woman he thought he might want to ask to be his girlfriend soon, would make him feel any better. But at least he wouldn't be tortured by not knowing.
When Beau's phone beeped around 11:45, his heart leaped in his chest. He pulled it out of his pocket. "Done" was all it said.
"Son of a bitch," he muttered.
Torn between going over to chew his brother's ass up and spit it back out and go to see how Mia was doing, he sat for a few moments, trying not to imagine what it had been like for her. Had Sam hurt her? He certainly wouldn't have been gentle that was sure.
Visions of Mia's body filled his head, as he thought about the weekend they'd shared together. God, she was so beautiful. He loved the feel of her skin beneath his fingers, the way she moaned and called his name. He'd brought her to life, bringing her over the edge time and again, making her pant and wriggle beneath him. He'd gotten to know every inch of her beautiful body as they'd made love time and again from Friday night until Sunday evening.
Now, his brother had likely just bent her over a desk and rammed her from behind for a few minutes.
Beau shook his head. Sam was an animal. He didn't deserve someone like Mia, someone beautiful, sweet, full of grace and innocence. He just wanted to corrupt her.
And today-he had.
Shaking his head, Beau got up and headed toward his brother's office, not sure whether he should beg him not to touch her again or punch him in the face.
The door wasn't locked, so he opened it. Normally, Sam would have the door locked when he was with his secretary or otherwise wanted privacy. He had that room hidden in the cabinets, but he doubted he'd take Mia back there-yet.
His brother was sitting behind his desk, a satisfied look on his face. "Beau?" He glanced over, didn't even really look at him.
Clearing his throat, he walked further into the room. "Well?" That was all he could think of to say. He wasn't even sure what he wanted to hear.
"Well what?"
"You did it?"
"Of course I did it."
"Did you hurt her?"
Sam made a face and shook his head. "No, I didn't hurt her. Believe me, Beau, she liked it. All of it." His mouth twisted into a smirk, and thoughts of punching him came to mind again.
"You're such an asshole," Beau said, shaking his head. "You need to leave her alone."
"Hey, she's my secretary. She signed the papers. And as much as you don't want to hear it, Beau, she really did like it." He turned back to his computer, slowly shaking his head. "God, she felt so good. So fucking tight."
Frustration overcame him, and Beau had to turn away, which Sam found amusing. He wanted to say more, to threaten his older brother, but just then, there was a knock on the other door. "Come in," Sam said, and Mia punched in her code.
She came in, carrying Sam's lunch, but when she saw Beau, her face turned red. "Hi, Mia," he said quietly, looking for signs she was hurt.
She seemed fine. Her bun wasn't quite as tidy as usual, as if she'd taken it down and tried to put it back up at her desk. "Hello, Mr. Whitaker," she said to Beau before turning to Sam. "I have your lunch, sir."
"Put it on the desk as usual," Sam said dismissively.
"You don't have to call me Mr. Whitaker, Mia," Beau reminded her, tempted to cross the room and take her in his arms. Why was she still here? Why wouldn't she just quit as he'd asked her to? Her skirt was so short, when she sat the lunch down on the table, he could see her rounded bottom slightly. Thoughts of how he'd stroked her there, kissed her, trailed his lips between her legs, filled his mind. Beau headed for the door. He couldn't take any more of this.
"Thank you, Mia," Sam said, not paying Beau any mind at all. "I may call you in later. So... clear your schedule."
"Yes, sir," she said, not meeting Sam's eyes but flicking her long lashes in Beau's direction a moment before she headed for the other door.
As soon as she was out, Beau said, "You're one sick bastard, Sam."
The sound of his brother's maniacal laughter followed him out into the hallway. Beau had to do something to convince Mia to quit working for him, but what? Thoughts of her with his brother would drive him crazy until he found a way to get her out of Sam's clutches-once and for all. Before it was too late.
