"Derek, Rose is right. You hired me. I'm in no position to give opinions on your family issues. I protected Aaron and Ian out of duty." Emily did not want to argue with Derek anymore since he would not believe anything she said.
"Time is up. I need to go home now. Bye, Derek. Say goodbye to Aaron and Ian for me," Emily left in a hurry because she did not want to spend another minute with this arrogant man.
Derek didn't stop Emily. As a father, he was only trying to protect Aaron and Ian.
When Derek returned to the room, Aaron and Ian turned their heads away and didn't want to look at him.
They were not happy with Derek because he misunderstood Emily.
Derek thought, 'Raising children is a lot harder than running a company.'
He picked up the boys and put them on the bed. Derek lay next to them.
He kissed Aaron and Ian on the head. "I know you don't like Rose and she isn't a good mother, but..."
"But she is our mother. Is that what you are going to say?" Ian whispered.
"I just don't want you to get hurt, Ian," Derek rubbed Ian's head.
"But she was trying to beat me and Aaron today." Ian glared at Derek.
"Yes, so I forbade her from coming home," Derek explained patiently.
"Alright, I accept this explanation." Ian finally cheered up.
At night, the Hopkinson's.
"Laura, Emily is awful. Because of her, Derek didn't allow me to see Aaron and Ian anymore. I think Derek doesn't want to marry me anymore," Rose complained to Laura.
"What? How come? It's all your fault. You should have double-checked before burying her." Laura was very angry. Rose would inherit all the property of the Hodkinson and Scott families. She wouldn't allow Emily to ruin her plan.
"The clown and his gang were so useless. They failed to kidnap the two children and even got beaten up by Louise," Rose said furiously.
"You must not let anyone else know the secret about Aaron and Ian. After we kill Emily, all problems will be solved," Laura said, looking at Rose.
"You're right, Laura. I buried her once. I certainly can do it again." Rose agreed with Laura.
The weather was good the next morning.
Emily received a message from Rose.
Rose apologized to her. She said, that day, she was only concerned about Aaron and Ian and told Emily not to get her wrong.
Emily didn't believe Rose's words at all. Just as Emily was about to delete the message, Rose texted that she would tell Emily where the two dead children were buried.
Emily didn't trust Rose, but she was desperate to know everything related to her dead children. So, she decided to meet Rose.
Emily asked Louise to take care of Chris and Diane for her, and then Emily was ready to go.
"Mommy, you have to be careful," Diane said with concern. For some reason, she didn't want Emily to go out today.
"Don't worry. I'll be back soon," Emily said with a smile.
After Emily drove away, Chris returned to the room with Diane.
Rose sent her the address of a cemetery, which was quite remote. It took Emily a long time to get there.
As soon as she got out of the car, she saw Rose walking toward her.
"Emily, you're here." Rose wiped her eyes.
"Just save it, Rose. You were the one who killed them." Emily hated Rose very much.
"Emily, this is a misunderstanding. I was joking with you. How could I kill your children?" Rose clenched her handkerchief. "At that time, they suddenly stopped breathing. I didn't touch them at all. You passed out, so you didn't know."
"Don't touch me!" Emily shook off Rose's hand as she reached out to grab Emily's arm.
"Emily, why didn't you bring Chris and Diane over? They should be here. After all, their brothers were buried here," Rose said.
"Shut up! I'm here, and that's enough. Take me there!" Emily didn't want to waste time.
Rose sighed, "Emily, we all thought that you were dead, so we put children's tombstones together with yours. I didn't know that you were still alive. I'm really happy for you."
Emily looked at Rose putting on a show and laughed mockingly.
"I've been back for days, Rose. I'm not here for a show."
Then Emily no longer responded to Rose.
Rose led the way and soon reached the cemetery.
Rose didn't stop. She continued to walk forward with Emily.
They came to a remote place. There was no one around.
"Wait. Where are you taking me?" Emily stopped Rose.
"I'll take you to the poor kids' grave." Rose was a little scared.
"Is that so? Don't you know the way? We have already left the cemetery," Emily said angrily.
"I haven't been here for too long. I might have picked the wrong path."
Emily knew that Rose didn't bring her here to see the graves. She didn't want to waste more time. Staying with Rose made her stomach churn.
"Emily, don't go. We'll find them soon," Rose shouted.
Emily did not stop. She continued to walk forward. She still had a deal with Derek. If she asked him for another favor, he would not refuse.
Rose was enraged. Emily was vigilant and escaped from her trap.
'I can't miss this opportunity,' Rose thought. She clapped her hands.
A dozen sturdy men came out from the bushes.
Emily quickly turned and ran towards Rose.
Before Rose could react, Emily grabbed her by the neck.
"Rose, you disgust me!" Emily whispered into Rose's ear.
"I know your weakness. And you fall into my trap again." Rose's voice was hoarse. She didn't want to show weakness in front of Emily.
"Five years ago, I already knew your true color. All you care about is wealth and power. I will make you lose everything from the Scott and Hodkinson families. Do you want to give it a try?" Emily said fiercely.
Rose felt afraid. She found that Emily was no longer the gentle lady from before. Emily was now like a female wolf who had lost her cubs, vigilant and aggressive.
'I can't let her find out the truth about Aaron and Ian. This is my trump card.' Rose thought.
"Just quit it, Emily. If you hurt me, the Scott and Hopkinson families will hunt you down. Plus, you don't want anything to happen to Chris and Diane..."
"Shut up! Are you threatening me?" Emily gripped Rose by the neck. Rose threatened her with Chris and Diane's lives, which enraged Emily.
Rose's eyes bulged and her face flushed as she choked.
