Pregnant After Being Marked By The Dangerous Alpha

Chapter 89

Ch. 89 / 113 Apr 24, 2026

Vayne's POV

Talon momentarily shocked everyone present.

"What the hell are you..." Hecarim's eyes widened in horror, and his voice became shaky as he looked at the tall Talon.

"You'll find out later." Talon revealed a cold smile, then made a flying lunge, rushing towards the densest part of the werewolf soldiers. Accompanied by a burst of miserable cries, Hecarim's face became increasingly ugly.

"Hurry up! Retreat!" Hecarim raised his hand somewhat feebly, his face pale, commanding his men to withdraw. However, it was obviously a bit too late, and quite a few werewolf soldiers fell under Talon's sharp claws. Their throats were penetrated, blood scattered all over the ground, the color of life slowly disappearing from their pupils.

"Who the hell are you? Leave your name if you can, and I'll make you realize the consequences of angering the Blackmoon Pack." Hecarim retreated, forcing himself to confront Talon. After all, he was the Alpha of a pack, and if he were to fall away like this, the blow to his dignity could be fatal.

"You can call me Talon, or Night King." Talon reshaped into his human form as he spoke, addressing Hecarim with a demonic smile.

"What? You are...Night King?" As Talon's words fell, Hecarim's eyes widened in shock, as if he had seen the most terrifying thing in the world. At that moment, he couldn't care about anything else, crawling backward on his hands and knees.

Hecarim's actions were like a wake-up call for the other werewolf soldiers that the man in front of them was an entity they could never mess with.

Talon seemed to relish the consequences of his intimidation. He stood still with a smile on his face, watching the Blackmoon Pack's men flee. His gentle smile wouldn't make him seem gracious, as his body was currently covered in stained blood, but that blood belonged to the others.

"That was a good fight. I haven't felt like that in a while."

Talon stood, stretched, and turned his head towards me.

"That's how it was with Caitlyn and me before, except she was the one who saved my life earlier."

The look Talon gave me was filled with tenderness, and I could tell that he was incredibly nostalgic for the time when he and Caitlyn had fought shoulder to shoulder together.

"Oh, she must have been a very powerful person then," I responded nonchalantly. I don't know where I got this emotion from; at first, seeing Talon show up filled me with gratitude.

Still, when he brought up another woman's name in front of me yet again, I couldn't help but feel a sour warmth welling up in my heart.

"Yeah, there's no one stronger than her in this world. She was beautiful, brave, kind, and sweet, just as charming as you are right now." Talon didn't seem to notice the discomfort in my tone and instead praised the woman named Caitlyn more enthusiastically.

I instantly lost my ability to manage my expression, and with a coping shrug, I walked towards Karma.

At this moment, Karma was sitting paralyzed at the bottom of a large tree, curled up on the ground, shivering, looking at Talon behind me with eyes full of panic.

"You... don't you come over!" Just as I was about to approach Karma, she suddenly shouted at me in alarm. My form stopped in place, realizing that Talon behind me was the source of Karma's fear. I gestured for Talon to move away before slowly approaching Karma.

"Tell me what the hell is going on; you should know the consequences of lying," I said calmly, looking at Karma while twisting my head towards Talon and nodding.

"Damn, I knew this plan was stupid!" After a moment of stalemate, Karma finally couldn't take the pressure and slammed his hand on the ground while hissing.

"It was that punk Hecarim who approached my father in the beginning, right after you became Gamma."

Karma peeked timidly at me and saw that I didn't react in any unusual way, so she continued.

"The last time you represented the pack in the conquest of the Blackmoon Pack, you made a deep impression on Hecarim. At the same time, he knew full well that as long as you were still here, there was no way my father would ever be the de facto head of the pack."

"You mean Kyan is going to plot against Alpha Zed?"

I detected a hint of anomaly in Karma's words and couldn't help but press the issue.

"What kind of Alpha is Zed? Our pack's strength has only dwindled since he became the Alpha, and he hasn't even found a powerful Luna for our pack until now. How does that make us believe that the pack will grow stronger under his leadership?"

Karma gave a contemptuous smile, then grew more and more irritated as he spoke.

"It is only under my father's leadership that we will grow stronger. And your existence is the biggest stumbling block to our plan, so we need to get rid of you first."

Perhaps realizing that his end would not be any better, Karma simply let go of his temperament as well, slowly standing up and saying viciously towards me.

"It's just that what I didn't expect was that you would really come alone to save me. If I had sent more people here, I'm afraid things would have ended differently."

Karma's expression became a bit complicated as she finished raising his head to look at the distant sky.

And I keenly read another layer of meaning in her words.

If they hadn't divided the people to ambush me, it would only be another place they would choose.

The Alpha's palace!

That, in itself, was a diversionary trick!

"Zed's in trouble!"

I frowned, unable to dispose of Karma, and twisted my head to immediately run towards the mountain.

At this moment, Talon also had a grave expression on his face, obviously realizing the seriousness of the matter.

"Don't worry, Caitlyn; there will most definitely be a solution!"

Talon raised his head to look at me seriously, and what came out of his mouth was another woman's name.

"Then go find your Caitlyn."

Holding back my anger, I shrugged off a stunned Talon and accelerated towards the pack.

"Alpha, you must be okay!"
