Vayne's POV
"Damn it, you guys tried to cause trouble before, and the Alpha was lenient enough to let you off once. I didn't expect you to come back and stir up trouble again; you really don't know what you're doing, right?"
Seeing another wave of uninvited guests at the ceremony, Azir looked extremely indignant and roared at Talon. He also greeted the Fullmoon Pack wolf soldiers responsible for guarding the area, slowly surrounding them.
"Talon, you finally decided to show up."
Zed had a smile on his face and didn't seem surprised that Talon appeared here.
"I have long suspected you had a conspiracy, but I didn't expect you to hide so deeply. You claimed it was to help Caitlyn return to the pack and stimulate her potential, but it turned out like this. What exactly have you done to Caitlyn?"
Talon faced the slowly approaching werewolf warriors without changing his expression and looked coldly at Zed standing on the stage.
"Don't you think it's childish to say something like that when you're also the Alpha of a pack?"
Zed first glanced at me standing next to him before shouting toward Talon.
The surrounding guests froze for a moment, somewhat unsure of what was happening. Although Fullmoon Pack's power had diminished, there were not many people who had the courage dared to barge in with just a few people.
"I'm taking Caitlyn away today, no matter what."
Zed took a few steps forward, and the werewolves around him, subdued by his authority, carefully made a path to prevent trouble.
Talon looked up at me, his eyes firm and determined. All this time, his heart had no reservations, and he was 100% sure that I was the girl named Caitlyn he was talking about.
"I don't care who you are. If you dare to provoke Fullmoon Pack's dignity, you are our enemy."
With a tug on the long skirt that interfered with my movement, I stepped forward and locked eyes with Talon across the crowd.
Though I couldn't help but feel a twinge in my heart as I made this decision, the accusations on my shoulders told me I had to do this to make things right.
"Caitlyn, wake up. Take a good look at me. I'm Talon. We're the mates who have experienced life and death together."
Upon witnessing my reaction, Talon's face couldn't help but reflect a pang of sadness. His tone was sincere and even carried a hint of thirst.
As soon as Talon's words left his mouth, the surrounding crowd erupted into murmurs, as if a pot had exploded.
No one could have imagined that someone would dare to steal a woman from Fullmoon Pack's Alpha, let alone a Gamma.
Before I could respond, the man, who followed behind Talon, resembling a tower of iron, had already rushed to the edge of the encirclement. He roared in anger and sent two werewolf soldiers flying with a single punch, too quick for them to dodge.
This scene was truly shocking. Talon rushed over with only one man, and not only did they dare to take the initiative to fight, but it was also clear that they were well-prepared.
On the other hand, the surrounding girls locked their eyes on Talon's cold face. Two men with different styles were fighting over me, a scene that any girl might have fantasized about.
"Don't waste your breath. As I've said many times, I'm not even remotely related to the girl you're looking for. Before the Alpha gets mad, I'd advise you to go back where you came from."
Mindful of the fact that Talon had saved my life, I refrained from putting harsh words in my mouth. I silently prayed that he would leave now, sparing me a head-on confrontation.
However, Talon ignored my suggestion, redirecting his words toward Zed. Perhaps in his mind, Zed was the one responsible for the entire situation.
"Today, I'm going to show everyone here the true face of the Alpha they all admire."
A cold snort escaped from Talon's throat, and an intimidating wolf growl echoed in the sky above the venue. The pressure from his bloodline caused the surrounding wolves to instantly prostrate on the ground, immobilized by fear.
It was only at this moment that they realized the true power of the werewolf challenging Zed.
Zed's mouth bore a smile, and then, with a wave of his hand, several hundred more werewolf soldiers, adorned in purple battle robes, materialized at the venue's edge. Their expressions were solemn, bodies displaying visible scars, as if the murderous aura had transformed into a tangible substance, emitting continuous, shocking vibrations to the surroundings.
It was evident that this group of werewolf soldiers had faced the battles of life and death, honing their skills. Today, their adversaries were the two werewolves who had come to provoke them.
"Looks like you anticipated my arrival today; nevertheless, this feast appears quite sumptuous."
Talon's mouth curved with a mocking smile. Under the crowd's scrutiny, he no longer concealed himself, instantly transforming into an immense black giant wolf.
"Caitlyn, regardless of the events today and whether you choose to leave or not, I'm getting you out of this dreadful place."
Talon lowered his head, eyes revealing tenderness, though his words were more of an order than a promise. I sensed a trace of long-lost familiarity in his dominance, and as I looked at Talon's broad back, I found myself momentarily speechless.
"Come on, let's see what you guys are truly capable of."
Talon addressed me before turning his head and leading towards the werewolf soldiers, who were circling slowly. His incredible speed put the soldiers on high alert, each transforming into giant wolves with a flash of purple aura in their eyes, slowly closing in on Talon.
Boom! Boom!
Two dull sounds echoed as two werewolf soldiers spat out blood and crashed to the side like kites with broken strings, merely glancing at Talon. The spectacle shook everyone, instilling fear in their hearts towards the man who resembled a demon god.
"Come on, Zed, use whatever other tricks you have."
Talon seemed excited, bloodthirsty eyes fixed on Zed standing on the distant high platform, shaking his head somewhat contemptuously.
