Pregnant After Being Marked By The Dangerous Alpha

Chapter 103

Ch. 103 / 113 Apr 24, 2026

Caitlyn's POV

After a wonderful night, I could feel the walls between Talon and me slipping away.

Kaisa was also acknowledged by Zed for her bravery in pursuing her love, and the very next day, Zed announced that he was going to bond with Kaisa as a mate.

The old, pedantic, power-oriented men resisted at first, perhaps feeling the pack had lost a significant battle force due to my absence.

However, when Kaisa demonstrated her strength and revealed that she was also the Alpha of a pack, almost all skepticism disappeared.

Kaisa and Zed went along with it, holding the ceremony right away; such a situation was also the best ending for both packs.

"Sure enough, I was right in my previous guess. You're still the one who's full of surprises everywhere." Kaisa and I stood side by side on the high platform; she laid her hand on the railing, gazing out at the distant sea. The sea breeze blew her bangs, revealing her delicate face.

"I really didn't expect you to chase me here. I thought..."

"Thought I wasn't that forthcoming, right?" Kaisa took a deep breath with a smile on her face.

"Actually, I'd like to thank you for that." Kaisa said, twisting her head to look at me seriously. "Me?" I frowned, momentarily dazed. I didn't even know how Kaisa and Zed got on.

"Right, because I was really shocked when I learned that you left the palace just to follow Zed back to the pack to awaken your powers. As far as I know, hardly any human would dare to do that with certainty. You did it simply so that you could have the right to stand by Talon's side."

"I don't think I could do that if it were me." Kaisa took a deep breath, then explained to me. I saw a hint of admiration in her eyes.

There was a time when Kaisa stood in front of me and condescendingly told me that she was going to start a fair fight with me, even to the point of stealing Talon away from me.

Until now, she stood calmly by my side and told me that I was someone she admired. The fallout put me in a bit of a trance for a moment. Maybe it was true what Kaisa said, that I'm a person whose life was full of surprises.

"Is everything okay over at the palace?" I hesitated for a moment before finally voicing the doubt in my heart.

When I left the palace, the king was attacked, and his life and death were unknown.

Talon was also listed as the number one object of suspicion. After going through so much, we know nothing about the situation in the palace.

Hearing me discuss this topic, Kaisa's face flinched before she gently shook her head. "I don't know the exact situation yet. When I left the palace, it was heavily guarded, and everyone underwent thorough scrutiny. Especially for the factions close to Talon, almost everyone is labeled with suspicion, and the king has already awakened."

Kaisa's face became more serious, causing my heart to flutter for a moment.

"But luckily, there's no solid evidence that the murderer is Talon. The strange thing is, there's a large number of secret individuals within the palace in contact with other packs, seemingly plotting something. The king hasn't summoned me since the last time either, so I'm sorry..."

Kaisa wore a pained expression and nodded somewhat apologetically.

"It's okay. You've already told me a lot of things I wanted to know."

According to Kaisa, the situation seems to be getting more dire. Initially, I thought that after mastering the method of transforming into a wolf, I would become a great asset to Talon. Even if I were to oppose the king in the future, I thought I'd be qualified to help him.

However, it appeared that my power is still too weak.

I clenched my fists indignantly, my heart filled with worries.

"Actually, Zed does care about you more than you realize. I don't know if it's because of his guilt over your mother or something else, but it seems like something he's willing to do for your own good."

Kaisa paused for a moment and then continued.

"So, if that day does come, I'm confident that Zed will bring his pack to assist you without a doubt," Kaisa assured.

Her words warmed my heart, and I nodded towards her with gratitude.

Just then, Talon slowly emerged from the corner with Bard in tow. Seeing Kaisa and me there, Bard took the lead in greeting us.

"Hey, Ms. Caitlyn, it's great to still see you smiling so kindly. I thought you'd never remember Alpha for the rest of your life. True to form, Zed is going to regret his decision, for sure," Bard remarked. It was evident that Bard was still a bit dissatisfied with everything Zed had planned. After all, he had been manipulated like a pawn by Zed, which naturally left him disgruntled.

"Bard, stop whining!" Talon frowned and gently scolded Bard. After all, this was still the territory of the Fullmoon Pack, and no one knew if someone might be watching our every move from a corner.

Bard pursed his lips, still seeming a bit indignant, but ultimately chose not to express it further.

"How come it's just the two of you, and where did Braum go?" It was only at this moment that I realized Braum's absence. Even when Talon came over earlier, Braum's figure had been missing.

"Braum has a special mission. Alpha told him to go back, check the situation, and report back at any time. According to the time, he should be returning soon," Bard explained.

Talon froze for a moment upon hearing me as well, then his brows furrowed together as if he had something on his mind.

"Alpha, there... there's a situation!"

Just at that moment, Braum's figure appeared suddenly from the distance. When we turned to look at him, we couldn't help but be shocked in our hearts.

We could see that Braum's body was covered in blood, his clothes torn, and a visible scar on his chest. Perhaps due to strenuous exercise, the wound never seemed to heal, and blood oozed from it as he moved.

It was truly difficult to imagine the kind of willpower that had sustained him until now.

"Braum, what the hell happened?"

Bard appeared both angry and concerned as he held Braum in his arms, his eyes filled with worry.

"The king... woke up and found evidence claiming that the assassin that day was none other than the Alpha. He has already started arresting our people, and Ms. Caitlyn's..."

Perhaps due to the loss of blood, Braum's face looked exceptionally pale, and his speech became a little breathless. Especially when he mentioned my name, he hesitated for a moment.

"What's wrong? Tell me quickly!"

I scooted up to Braum and awaited his words.

"The king took both Ms. Caitlyn's father and Leona just to wait for Alpha to return..."

Upon hearing Braum's words, Talon's face turned gloomy, and the wolf within him let out an angry howl. It was evident to everyone that a fight to the death was about to begin.

"Come on, let's go back now."

Talon took my hand, and we walked in the direction of the palace.
