Chapter 33: Party 2

Ch. 33 / 164 Sep 17, 2024

"You're here." Maria smiled at David.

David doesn't care about Maria, he continues to chat with his wife. Maria was ignored by him, holding back her anger. So did Raymon.

Maria bit her bottom lip, she wanted to pull David away from Ella. She speaks. "David, I'm hungry. Let's go eat first." She pulled her hand around David's arm.

"Raymon, help me lead her to the table, I need to talk to my wife," David asks for Raymon.

Raymon has no other choice because the party is crowded, he doesn't want any bad actions to happen. He took Maria's hand and pulled her to a corner.

"Did you dye your hair?" David asked when he noticed something in Ella's hair.

"You do not like it?" Ella replied by asking him back.

"No, this hair color looks good on you," David replied.

"But it will make your father unhappy."

"Don't worry about that. He will have to accept the past to live in the present. Not every girl with platinum hair is a bad person."

"I have something to tell you, but there are many people here, I will tell you later." Ella's voice made his heart melt. It's so sweet.

In the far corner, Maria watched the scene, seeing David and Ella intimate, her jealousy welled up. She clenched her fist, her nails digging into her flesh making it bleed, but she didn't care. She goes crazy when the man she's loved for years is blatantly robbed.

"Why don't you do anything? Don't you like Ella? You have to act." Maria turned to Raymon, who was sipping a glass of champagne.

"Do not rush. There are so many people here, how do you act? We have many other opportunities." Raymon said with a calm face.

Maria knows that David did not have any girl by his side before, she believes that she will be his wife in the future. But after returning from studying abroad, she suddenly heard that he was married, there were no words to express her anger. She needs to get David back in her hands.

Inwardly, jealousy raging, the burning fire annoyed her. She doesn't want to admit that she's jealous, even feels unfair. Why would a beautiful, rich girl like her lose to a poor girl named Ella? She was not willing.

He is the first person she likes, but she is not his first love.

Maria poured a glass of champagne and drank it all.

In love, until now there has been no justice.

When you love someone so much, even if she only loves you a little, it's enough to make you happy.

But in David's eyes, she was nothing.

Seeing how angry Maria was, Raymon comforted him. "You should be calm. We need to wait for the right moment."

He doesn't rush or rush because he doesn't need Ella. The girl next to him is also beautiful and sexy, if he has both girls in his hand, even better, or else, he will approach Maria.

David needed to talk to the elders and partners so he left Ella alone.

Bored, she walked around the garden until she saw a stone bench in the moonlight, she sat down.

Moments later, she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Ella, why are you sitting here? Why not enjoy the party?" Rika sat down beside her.

Ella took a deep breath and replied. "It was so crowded inside, that I felt a little suffocated. I need an open space to think about something."

"About your feelings for my brother?"

"Right. I think I love him very much."

"Good." Rika was very excited when she heard Ella's answer.

"What am I supposed to do?"

"Follow your heart. Don't be afraid. Strong and brave." Rika cheers for her.

The lights turn dim, and melodious music plays. Everyone started dancing.

Rika pulled Ella's hand. "Come inside, let's dance."

"But..."

"You have taken dance lessons before, this is your chance to show off your talent."

Ella stood up from the stone bench and returned with Rika to the flower garden. When she arrived, everyone was starting to dance with her partner. A gentle breeze blew through the roses in the garden, and the stars were twinkling in the sky. In the ears, you can also hear happy laughter and music transmitted. David steps forward to ask her to be his dance partner and of course, she agrees.

Then she added. "Forgive me if I accidentally step on your foot."

"Did you take dance lessons?" David put his hands around her waist. Her arms were around his neck, the two of them swaying to the music. As time passed, he pulled her closer to him, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

"But I'm not as good at dancing as you."

David took the lead to hug Ella in the middle of the dance floor, everyone around clapped with this dance, the couple moved skillfully, and coordinated well, and the atmosphere was immediately bustling. The VIP guest began to have a couple enter the dance floor, along with melodious music making the atmosphere even more fun.

"You dance very well," David commented.

"Thanks for the compliment." Ella smiled.

Maria and Raymon dance together. She was just engrossed in looking at David and Ella, past Raymon's shoulder, in a bad mood.

In the middle of the dance, they change partners. And Ella swapped dance partners with Raymon. Maria dances with David. The discomfort in her heart gradually disappeared. But David doesn't seem to want to dance with her. As soon as the music instantly changed to Waltz, David let go of Maria's hand and grabbed Ella's hand pulling her towards him. He didn't even look at Maria's angry face.

"Did you enjoy this party?" David whispered in her ear.

"Yes." She replied.

The two stopped talking and began to blend themselves in rhythm attentively.

Melodies flutter in her ears, sometimes happy, sometimes gentle, she shakes off her thoughts, closes her eyes, and immerses in the music, one round, two rings, three rounds, she hasn't been as comfortable in a long time. like this, she felt like entering another world, a world of only music and dance.

A little dance can forget all the troubles.

After the dance, David was greeted by one of his partners. The man asked about David's love life.

Mrs. Emma spoke quickly, beckoning Maria to come closer. "Maria is a smart, beautiful girl. She is very suitable to be my daughter-in-law."

David was dumbfounded while Maria smiled brightly when she heard that.

Rika broke that sentence. "She's not David's wife."
