Mr. Roy returned to his room shortly after. Mr. Harry asked Ella gently. "Do you really like cats?"
"Yes, Grandpa." Ella nodded her approval.
"Did you know your father-in-law has asthma and is allergic to all animal furs?"
Ella shook her head. "I do not know. I'm sorry."
"Where did you find this cat?" Mr. Harry continued to ask.
This time Rika answered. "We bought him from the cat shop, his name is Oliver. It's very cute, isn't it Grandpa?"
Looking at Ella's sad face, Mr. Harry said. "Okay, if you want to keep it, take it to the back of the cottage on the west side of the mansion or leave it in your room, as long as it doesn't let your father-in-law see it."
"Dad, why did you agree to let her have a cat? From the moment she stepped foot into the mansion, everything was chaotic and not peaceful." Mrs. Emma was not pleased.
"Anyway, I bought it, so why not throw it away? Just leave Oliver in the west house, your husband won't have access to it. Everything will be OK." Mr. Harry said and ended the conversation.
Ella's eyes lit up. She said with a happy voice. "Thank you, Grandpa."
Ella and Rika left the living room. Not long after, Mrs. Emma also rose from her chair. Only Mr. Harry and the butler stayed in the living room. The butler asked. "Boss, you let her do what she likes?"
"Let her do what she likes."
"But Mrs. Emma doesn't seem happy. She always suspected Ella of bad intentions when she approached David."
"Time will tell all. Although I don't know why David chose this girl, I believe she's not a bad person." Mr. Harry said in a firm voice.
In the bedroom, Ella plays with Oliver. She buys a lot of canned goods for it and plays with it all day. Since having Oliver, she no longer feels bored. She doesn't let Oliver out or she just takes him for a walk when Mr. Roy comes to the company.
Five days later, she no longer plays with Oliver, as she is busy studying under Sophie's tutelage. Since the party was coming, she needed to learn a few things to adapt to the life of the upper class. Although it's been a few months since she's been in Anthony's mansion, David says she doesn't have to force herself to live in harmony with everyone. But since this was a luxurious, aristocratic party, she couldn't help but study.
In the past few days, she had learned to walk, talk, and communicate like a noble. Sophie is very strict but at the same time teaches her wholeheartedly.
Ella started studying from morning till night, her arms and legs were tired. These days, David doesn't call or text her which makes her miss him so much but there's nothing she can do about it.
On the last days of the business trip, David was busier, he needed to finish quickly to return.
Sophie tells Ella that she should buy some new dresses for the party. She turned on her laptop, went to a shopping website, and ordered a dress. She filled in the address of the mansion. A week later, the delivery man brought the package to the villa. She picked up the medium-sized box and carried it up to her room, opening it.
It was a bright red fishtail dress, the bodice glittering with glitter. She stood in front of the mirror and tried it on herself. She doesn't claim to be beautiful, but this dress will make her more attractive. She is pleased with it.
Rika passed by Ella's room and saw the red dress, she opened the door and entered.
"That's great, where did you buy it?" Rika stared at the gorgeous dress.
"On the internet. Sophie told me I didn't have any dresses, she wanted me to buy them to wear for the night." Ella replied with a smile.
"This dress suits you so well. When you wear it to the party, I guarantee David will swoon."
"Are you kidding?"
"No. I tell the truth." Rika sat on the edge of the bed. "You were the first girl my brother met. As such, you are special in his eyes. I think this is destiny. Why didn't he choose anyone else instead of you? I ask you again, do you love him?"
"I... I don't know. We are just husband and wife in the contract." Ella stammered, clutching her skirt.
"No, I'm not talking about that. I want to ask do you love my brother? Yes or no? Ask your heart." Rika's voice sounded resolute.
Ella thought for a moment and then nodded. "Yes, I love him."
"Fine." Rika breathed a sigh of relief.
"But I don't know if he loves me?"
"I'm sure. Or, make him love you."
"How can I?" Ella raised her head to look at Rika.
"Why not? Tell him your feelings."
"Does he not love me? Or was it just a transient vibration?"
Rika smiled with a confident look. "This is not going to happen, because I know my brother well. Trust me. No matter what, I'll be on your side."
Seeing Ella still sad, Rika encouraged. "Do you want me to tell David how you feel?"
"Don't... I will." Ella took a deep breath.
"Okay, until then, I'll help you with your makeup. You will be the most beautiful girl at the party." Rika put her hands on Ella's shoulders.
The party will take place in a flower garden with soft grass under the path. At seven o'clock in the evening, the party just started, but in the early morning, all the maids prepared to cook.
The venue of the event is closely guarded by security. Strictly guarded by bodyguards. New card guests are allowed in.
