Chapter 264

Ch. 264 / 281 Apr 07, 2026

"I haven't decided yet. I'll think about it tomorrow." With that, Malcolm walked towards the refrigerator.

Malcolm took out a few cans of beer, placed them on the table, and looked at Sergio.

Malcolm said, "I want to drink more! Let's go!"

Sergio glanced at the beer on the table and shook his head. "That's enough for me!"

"Then let's talk!" Malcolm sat next to Sergio.

Malcolm didn't like alcohol. These beers were bought by Julian.

Julian had bought them in case visitors like himself wanted to have a drink.

"About what?" Sergio looked at Malcolm calmly.

Neither of them was talkative. It was hard for them to start a conversation.

Malcolm thought for a moment and said, "Sergio, I love Lynn very much. I'll prove it with actions."

The look in Sergio's eyes changed. Sergio quietly stared at Malcolm without saying anything.

Malcolm continued, "I will marry her!"

"I know," Sergio replied faintly with his head lowered to hide his expression. He felt a mixture of emotions.

"So, these few days you..."

"It was not like that," Sergio suddenly interrupted Malcolm. Sergio gave a cold and inscrutable look at Malcolm. It was hard to tell what Sergio was thinking from the look in his eyes.

Malcolm smiled faintly and delightedly. Malcolm noticed that Sergio didn't want to talk about it, so he changed the topic. "Sergio, Lynn is the love of my life and I've never loved anyone else since I was a child. This love has never altered and it never will."

"We all know that. Malcolm, you don't need to mention it now. It was just..." Sergio suddenly frowned. He seemed to have thought of something. "No, Malcolm, the one you love is Carolyn, right? Since when did you love Marilyn?"

Sergio looked at Malcolm with a straight face.

Sergio had something on his mind recently and hadn't realized it until now.

Marilyn and Carolyn were not the same people.

Malcolm smiled and mocked, "Sergio, I thought you were smart enough to know that I don't easily fall in love with someone."

Sergio looked at the confident expression on Malcolm's face. Sergio was very surprised as he asked in a loud voice, "Marilyn is Carolyn?"

Malcolm smiled sweetly and nodded. Now, Sergio's puzzles and worries had disappeared.

Sergio and Malcolm had grown up together. Malcolm knew very well about Sergio's love for Marilyn.

"Sergio, Marilyn is Carolyn. She's the one I've been waiting for over twenty years. She's back."

Sergio leaned back in shock. For the first time, a look of disbelief appeared in his eyes.

After a while, Sergio suddenly cursed, "Malcolm, you bastard, why didn't you tell me? You've told Julian but kept Terence and me in the dark. Why did you do that? For fun?"

The more Sergio spoke, the angrier he became. He said the word "fun" through his gritted teeth.

Sergio wanted to punch Malcolm. How could Malcolm not tell him?

Sergio admitted that he had fallen in love with Marilyn the first time he saw her.

Sergio had never seen such an innocent and sophisticated woman before. He loved the look in her eyes most.

He was not good with words, but he could quickly see through a person. He could tell what kind of person, or how kind one was through observation.

Sergio liked Marilyn, but he was suppressing this feeling. He wanted to drink to chase away the accompanying unhappiness.

His aborted love!

Sergio was furious and Malcolm looked at him quietly.

Malcolm could see how painful and helpless Sergio was. Indeed, Sergio loved Marilyn.

Malcolm knew that it was the first time that Sergio had been tempted by a woman. That was why Malcolm accompanied and chatted with him patiently.

After all, Sergio was one of Malcolm's most sincere friends, and Malcolm didn't have many friends.

It was better to talk things out before one misunderstood his friends. Moreover, Malcolm didn't want anyone to hurt Marilyn. It was his bottom line!

"It was NOT fun!" Malcolm replied in a hoarse voice.

He added, "But it's not too late to tell you now."

A trace of anger flashed through Sergio's eyes. He looked even more upset.

Sergio closed his eyes and revealed his weakness in front of Malcolm for the first time.

It turned out that Marilyn was Carolyn. No wonder those eyes were damn attracted to him.

In his memory, Carolyn's eyes were surprisingly beautiful.

Her eyes were bright, clear, and charming.

Sergio gradually remembered the little girl who had been following Malcolm all day.

Sergio glared at Malcolm and asked, "Malcolm, you know who she is but why didn't you tell Debbie? Don't you know that Marilyn has been bulled by Debbie and Velma?"

Sergio wanted to say something more but stopped. He seemed to know the answer.

Malcolm waited till Sergio thought it through. A faint smile appeared in Malcolm's eyes. "Sergio, we can't expose that now. We have to wait for the perfect timing."

"What about the kids?" Sergio asked. He wanted to know if Malcolm would accept Marilyn's child.

Malcolm smiled warmly and happily. "Sergio, I'm their father."

"You mean...?" Sergio looked at Malcolm in confusion. Was that what Sergio was thinking? Sergio narrowed his eyes slightly as if he was getting angry.

Malcolm replied calmly, "Sergio, let me tell you, the woman seven years ago was Lynn. So, I'm the father of the triplets!"

Sergio was speechless with shock.

He stared at Malcolm with his mouth agape. His eyes were filled with shock. What a coincidence!

Malcolm waited for Sergio to digest this. Back then, Malcolm had a similar reaction to Sergio. Malcolm was even more excited than Sergio.

Sergio collected himself, and said with his voice trembling, "Malcolm, you're so lucky! How could you have triplets? Do you have that gene in your family?" Sergio was a little suspicious.

Sergio found it extremely hard to believe. He had never been so shocked in his entire life!

When Malcolm heard this, his face darkened. "What do you mean, Sergio? I'm the father of the triplets and the paternity test proved it. Why do you think that I don't have genes for triplets in my family?"

Damn it!!

How could Sergio doubt it?
