At the moment, there were only Julian, Cameron, and Margie in the huge office room.
Baron then worked on persuading the shareholders.
Hearing the breaking news, Julian was shocked.
Pulling himself together, Julian rolled his eyes. At the end, curiously looked at Cameron who seemed observant.
As Cameron looked like a modest gentleman, Julian never thought that he would have cheated on his wife and even had a son outside!
Cameron really was good at disguising, wasn't he?
Cameron, whom he knew, was someone afraid of his wife and couldn't make something big.
No matter where he went, Cameron would take his wife with him. Most of the deals on business were done by his wife alone.
Julian was stunned.
He thought, "One can never judge a book by its cover!"
Cameron looked at Margie in shock. How did she know about this?
He didn't even dare to meet Margie's icy eyes with great pain.
Margie stared at Cameron, who was a coward with nothing to say. With a mess in her mind, she was so angry that she could hardly breathe.
It was as if there was a huge rock on her chest.
She wanted to find a window, through which she could vent out all the frustration on her mind.
Ever since she married Cameron, she never thought that Cameron would betray her one day.
Before her, Cameron constituted an honest and observant person.
However, she did not expect that such a person would do this. That child looked to be eight to nine years old!
Margie stared at Cameron painfully.
The anger became wrath all of a sudden because she was confronted with the possible loss of the company as well as the infidelity of her husband.
At that moment, she felt she was having extreme punishment like tens of thousands of knives were attacking her in a row. Her forehead was covered with sweat. In addition, the fierce hit just now made her face deadly pale. The last shred of sanity before her breakdown had her ask him, "Cameron, I am nice to you, right? I haven't been through difficulties with you these years? I have your baby. Have I ever shamed you? Why did you cheat on me?"
Cameron was speechless against a barrage of questions.
What made Margie even angrier was that, after all these years of cheating, she had not found a single trace of it.
She thought that he went out every week for the sake of the company; that he didn't come back home at night because he was hobnobbing with businessmen!
For all the trust that she gave him, Cameron betrayed it.
In her life, she had done a lot that would be seen as egregious, and she could even give Marilyn, who had been raised by her, to an old man for her own benefit.
But when Cameron was chased by the illegal loaner, she took the entire family in the middle of nowhere for him. She had never done any housework before getting there, but she lived there for several years.
She bore all of it for him.
How could he do that to her?
It was said there were two times in people's lives that they would do something on impulse. One was having reckless love, and the other was an unplanned journey.
However, Cameron had countless times to do something impulsive.
Along the way, she used miscellaneous tricks and subterfuges.
She climbed from the bottom to where she was now. Unscrupulous, she had never complained about life. All she wanted was that their family could live better than others.
But at the end of the day, all her efforts were in vain.
Margie could take a part of the credit for the well-being of the woman and the son that Cameron supported.
"Cameron, answer me! Why don't you say something? I am asking you!" Margie stormed at Cameron.
Julian also shifted his gaze to Cameron. He wanted to know why such a seemingly square man would do such a thing.
Julian thought that he would never betray her if he had the opportunity to marry Jeannie one day. He would indulge her with everything she wanted!
At that moment, he was nothing more than air in the couple's eyes.
Cameron avoided eye contact with Margie, aware that she wouldn't let it go until she got the answer.
After all, he knew her well after living together with her for decades.
With compunction that could be seen obviously from his look, he whispered, "Margie, you are really a devoted wife. But you are not a good lover. You are always domineering with your superiority over anyone in the family. You butt in on everything and make me feel I am an idiot!"
"Although you only reprimanded me at home, it still hurt. I am a man. I need respect, and I want a sweet and caring woman."
"Do you remember that I had a fight with you over ten years ago?"
"The night when you kicked Marilyn out, I brought her back. When I entered the house, your curse rained down on me. Though she was not our own child, she was obedient and smart. At that age, how could she live by herself?"
"After arguing with you, I went to the bar that night."
"I got to know Georgina. That night, I was drunk and went to the hotel with her. After that, we got closer and closer to each other. She was very gentle and considerate. I failed to get myself out since I had been into her."
"We were together naturally and then she got pregnant. I felt sorry for her and let her deliver the baby. "After the child was born, Cameron bought a house for them.
It was just that he didn't dare to mention it. He knew very well that Margie wouldn't forgive him once she knew of it.
Julian widened his eyes again. He was shocked that Cameron's betrayal started with a romantic encounter in a bar.
Margie threw back her head and sneered. It was full of sorrow.
In the end, the cold smile gradually turned into a helpless agony.
"Cameron, how could you be with a woman like her? At least, it should be someone with a clean background," she cried.
She thought, "A woman in a bar? You must be trampling on my self-esteem?"
Cameron had nothing to say. He just quietly looked at Margie who was weeping.
Seeing Cameron like this, a faint smile appeared on Margie's face. Her lips trembled slightly as she wiped away the tears. She forced herself to stop crying.
She warned herself that it was not worth crying for such a man!
However, her eyes were still filled with melancholy that she couldn't explain.
After a while, she uttered, "Cameron, we should divorce!"
No matter what she would experience next, she didn't want to see this disgusting man again.
Losing the company, she could start over. But this man in front of her was the man she had guarded for her entire life. Now, she lost him too. She was no longer afraid of anything else.
