They both knew what was going on, and Grace quickly guessed what Mirabel was thinking: "She's really bold, huh? You're still Mrs. Todd right now! Isn't she afraid of getting into trouble?"
"She was definitely sure that Cliff and I would break up, wanted to find a way out for the Field family, and also wanted to have the upper hand over me in the future."
Vanya knew what Mirabel was thinking, she just didn't expect her to dare plan something like this at such an important family dinner, "If I had paid more attention back then, maybe it wouldn't have turned out like this."
"And then? Did she drug you?"
Grace's expression suddenly turned serious.
This wasn't just some simple scheming, no wonder Theodore stormed off after taking the person to the hospital.
Vanya frowned and said, "I still didn't know how she drugged me. I was locked in the room and couldn't find my phone."
"This Mirabel really had some tricks up her sleeve! I really underestimated her before."
Grace was so mad she was grinding her teeth. She said, "Vanya, don't worry, I'll go to the Daltons' right now and get justice for you!"
"Come back!"
Vanya grabbed Grace's hand and said, "Theodore and Derek already left, you help me with the discharge now, I want to go see for myself."
"Okay."
Grace didn't say no.
Something this big happened, the person involved really should have been there.
After finishing the discharge paperwork, Grace drove Vanya to the Daltons'.
At this moment, the Dalton house was already a mess. The air was filled with the chaotic scent left after the wolves fought. Amid the sound of breaking furniture, there were a few suppressed low growls.
When Theodore broke into the Dalton house with his men, the high-level Alpha pressure around him felt like dark clouds closing in.
Aldrich looked extremely upset, with a mix of old-school Alpha stubbornness and anger.
He growled, "Mr. Winston! What on earth were you trying to do again and again? What did the Dalton family ever do to offend you?"
"Ask your good partner."
Theodore's eyes looked fierce like a lone wolf ready to strike, with a flash of crimson deep in his pupils. The pheromones around him carried a cold threat, making the air feel frozen.
Mirabel didn't even dare to breathe next to them. Instinct made her tremble between these two strong Alpha auras, and her body almost curled up.
Aldrich knew Theodore wouldn't cause trouble for no reason.
He turned to look at Mirabel beside him, the pressure in his eyes suddenly growing stronger as he pressed, "What did you and your good little brother do this time?!"
Mirabel shivered at that familiar family pressure. Her wolf instincts made her want to submit right away, so she just froze and didn't dare move.
Elmer really couldn't stand it anymore, and the impulses of a young werewolf inside him outweighed his fear.
He rushed over to Mirabel and shouted at Aldrich, "Dad! This is clearly Theodore being unreasonable, it has nothing to do with Mom!"
"Shut up!" Aldrich roared, his voice full of authority. "Last time you got your sister in trouble. If Mr. Winston hadn't gone easy on you, would you be out so soon? You ungrateful brat! Get out of my sight!"
Elmer was so intimidated by Aldrich's pressure that he couldn't lift his head. His wolf ears almost drooped, but he didn't dare to resist. He just stood aside with an ugly look on his face, hands clenched into fists, his nails slightly showing the curve of wolf claws.
Aldrich looked serious and held back some of his pressure. He looked at Theodore and asked, "Mr. Winston, just say it. What happened to Vanya?"
He just froze when he saw Vanya being carried away by Theodore at the door.
Luna was supposed to be with the Silvermoon Pack, so how did she get so involved with Theodore?
"Okay, then I'll just say it."
Theodore raised his hand, and the two bodyguards in black behind him immediately stepped forward. They gave off that absolute obedience vibe of wolf clan guards. They dragged over Dominic, who had been beaten black and blue, with some of his wolf features already showing.
Dominic dropped to his knees, his knees hitting the ground with a dull thud, and the cowardly vibe of a defeated werewolf spread out.
Mirabel saw this and was scared out of her wits. Panic made her go weak all over, and she almost collapsed.
"Mom!" Elmer hurried to hold Mirabel, trying to give her a little support with his own weak breath.
Mirabel looked upset and forced herself to shout, "You guys are so unreasonable! You just hit people for no reason! Is there any law left?"
"Then call the police." Theodore picked up his phone, and the emergency number was right there on the screen. The air around him was icy cold, and Mirabel's yelling stopped right away.
Seeing this string of emergency calls, Mirabel didn't dare to speak again.
She knew that once the human police got involved, the secret would probably be exposed, and the consequences were definitely more than she could handle.
Theodore said, "Let the police check what you two siblings were plotting and what you both did!"
His voice wasn't loud, but it had a kind of force you just couldn't argue with.
Every word hit Mirabel and Dominic like a hammer, making their wolves whimper in despair inside them.
