"You were dreaming!"
Vanya rushed to the door while Dominic wasn't paying attention.
She wanted to unlock the door, but found the switch inside didn't respond at all!
Outside the door, the maid was putting the spare key into the lock.
As long as the keyhole outside was blocked, the switch inside was completely useless.
"Help! Help!"
Vanya banged on the door and shouted.
But there was deafening music playing downstairs, Mirabel was wearing a red dress and dancing an impromptu tango with Aldrich, so they couldn't hear anything going on upstairs.
"Don't waste your energy! You could only be mine today!"
Dominic stepped up and hugged Vanya, but Vanya suddenly pushed him away, grabbed the cup on the table and smashed it hard on the floor.
She picked up a piece of broken glass and held it to her neck. "If you come any closer, I'll cut my throat! Then all your efforts, you and your sister, will be for nothing!"
Dominic's expression changed.
He sure didn't dare let Vanya die here!
"Damn it, you dared to threaten me?"
Dominic rushed up trying to grab the glass shards, but Vanya didn't give him a chance at all. There were already blood marks on her pale neck.
Seeing this, Dominic didn't dare to move around anymore.
At this point, Theodore had already been waiting outside the Daltons' house for quite a while.
The time he and Vanya agreed on was almost up, so Theodore called Vanya, but no one picked up.
Theodore glanced at the Daltons' villa, his eyes landing on the second-floor window.
From where he stood, he could clearly see a woman leaning against the glass of the second-floor balcony, holding something in her hand.
That back... was Vanya!
Theodore immediately realized something was wrong, pushed open the car door, and rushed into the Dalton house.
"Who are you! This is a private residence, you can't just barge in! Security! Security!"
The gardener at the door saw Theodore rush in and got so scared he quickly called for security.
When the security guard rushed over, Theodore had already kicked open the Daltons' front door.
Aldrich was a bit tipsy, and there was music playing in the room. When everyone saw Theodore's face, they all froze. Mirabel was startled too.
Elmer looked furious.
If it hadn't been for Theodore back then, he wouldn't have ended up in jail!
The next second, Aldridge immediately turned off the music.
"Mr. Winston, why are you here? Today was our Dalton family dinner..."
Theodore started looking for Vanya's room as soon as he came in.
He rushed upstairs right away and ran toward the room where Vanya was, with everyone looking at him in surprise.
Mirabel was afraid her plan would be exposed. Her timid vibe was instantly replaced by panic. She shouted sharply at the security guard, "What are you waiting for? Stop him!"
"Yes!" A few security guards responded and stepped forward, giving off the cold, tough vibe unique to well-trained Wolf Clan guards, and moved to block Theodore's way.
And Theodore had already followed Vanya's scent and found the room.
The Alpha pressure around him spread out like an invisible huge wave, making the servants along the way instinctively shrink back.
Outside the door, the maid was so scared by the sudden powerful presence that her pupils shrank and her voice trembled: "Who... who are you!"
"Don't come over! Get lost!"
Vanya's weak protest came from inside the door, with a hint of drug-suppressed wolfish panting, and it hit Theodore's ears clearly.
Theodore's eyes suddenly turned sharp like an eagle, a flash of wolfish red glinting in them, and the pressure around him shot up. "Open the door!"
The maid was so scared by this overwhelming aura that her legs went weak and she almost fell to her knees.
She hurriedly reached out with a trembling hand to turn the door lock, and her fingertips, out of fear, started to show the faint shape of wolf claws.
Dominic heard a noise inside the house and got furious. The wolf in him was totally provoked. He roared, "Who let you open the door! Ruined my plan!"
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a loud "bang" and Theodore kicked the door open right in front of him. At the same time, he lifted his leg and kicked Dominic, who was rushing over, hard to the ground.
That kick, full of the wolf clan's brute force, slammed Dominic against the wall like a rag doll, and he let out a muffled groan.
"Who the hell is that!" Dominic struggled to lift his head, the veins on his temple bulging with anger, and his wolf-like eyes widened a bit.
But when he saw who it was, the anger on his face was instantly replaced by fear, and his voice couldn't stop trembling: "M-Mr. Winston..."
How could Theodore show up here! That overwhelming pressure from a top Alpha on him felt like a mountain, making it almost impossible for Dominic to breathe. Even the wolf inside him got so scared it curled up.
The moment Vanya saw Theodore, her tense nerves suddenly relaxed. Her fingers, which had faint wolf claw marks from being on guard, lost their strength, and the glass shard in her hand fell to the ground with a "clang."
The whole body just went limp on the ground like all strength had been drained, and that stubborn, wolf-like glint in the eyes faded too.
Theodore didn't feel like lecturing Dominic, who was lying on the ground shaking. The air around him got a bit tense because of Vanya's weakness.
He rushed over and held her up right away, and the cold feeling from her skin made him frown.
His soothing pheromones quietly spread out, trying to steady Vanya's fading consciousness.
