Unpleasant Experience
"Relax, I'm not going to bite," James said and slipped his hand down her shoulder to her chest. Julia quickly got up from the seat, but James quickly pulled her back onto the seat, forcing her head up by holding her jaw.
"Funny you want to act decent now," James said with a smirk, tilting his head to the side.
He locked Julia's neck with his arms like he was going to choke her. Julia held his arms with both hands, trying to break free. With his other free hand, he went under her dress and into her bra and fondled her peaches. Julia tensed up and tried to take his hand out, but the more she tried, the harder he pressed her throat with his hand, making her cough. Tears streamed down Julia's face as she couldn't stop him from harassing her. She couldn't scream either, as she was afraid of what they would do to her. James finally removed his hand from under her dress after what felt like a forever torment for her.
"You can fool Jason, not me," James said, letting go of her. "I could feel your arousal, you slut," he whispered behind Julia's ears and stepped away from her.
Feeling tense, humiliated and abused, Julia quickly tried to get away from the seat now that James was no longer holding her, but she fell to the floor, tripping over the leg of the table which was not far from her feet.
"I know your type. You act coy, to win a man over and manipulate him to your advantage. Unfortunately for you, Jason has got a family who loves him and I will not allow you to destroy my brother. Now get out," James ordered, and Julia ran out of his office still trembling.
James would have taken advantage of Julia if not for the place he found himself. He had been lusting after her for some time. In truth, he had only said what he said to Julia to make her feel she was the guilty one so that she would keep the whole incident to herself.
The secretary was surprised to see the state in which Julia left James's office. The door opened and James's face came into view.
"Not a word if you want to keep your job," James warned, and the secretary nodded.
Julia could not return to her department in her current state, so she went to the lady's washroom and locked herself up in one of the cubicles as she breathed heavily. She dried her tears with the tissue and tried to stay quiet, so nobody would know she was there.
"What just happened?" Julia thought, sitting on the pot.
She covered her face with both palms and rested her elbow on her knee as tears flowed down her face. She wished she had a family she could go to. She would have left Jason's house a long time ago. She blamed herself for what happened to her mother because she left her alone, and now she will remain alone forever and legally bond to a man so powerful that no one can rescue her from him.
Jason returned to his office after the meeting and put on his monitor but could not find Julia in her department. He checked the other surveillance tools, but he could not find her anywhere in the building.
He picked up his phone and dialled her department's head extension.
"Why is Julia not working?" Jason asked, so he wouldn't sound like he was looking for her.
"Sir, Mr James sent for her," the manager replied, and Jason frowned.
"What did James want from Julia?" Jason thought and knew James probably said something terrible to Julia to make her run off.
"Okay," Jason replied, disconnected the call and called Peter to his office. "Find Julia," he said to Peter.
Peter left to find Julia as instructed by Jason. Jason never for once trusted his brother James around women. He was sure something might have happened to make Julia run-off. He waited to see if Julia would return after Peter reported back to him that Julia was not in the building and had not gone home either.
"What do we do now sir?" asked Peter.
"We wait. If she doesn't return, get the police to search for her privately," Jason said, and Peter nodded and exited his office.
Jason received a call from James, who informed him that he was leaving the office because it was five. Jason only replied with a 'hmm' and disconnected the call without asking James about Julia. Jason called the house himself, 30 minutes after 5 p.m. to find out if Julia was at home, but he got feedback that she wasn't. Peter returned to the office when it was fifteen minutes to six to find out if he should call the police now.
"Wait a while," Jason replied, looking worried, and Peter was surprised, as he had never seen Jason worry about a woman before.
"Yes sir," Peter replied and exited the office.
Jason, for some reason, felt Julia was still in the office. He put all the monitors back on and started looking everywhere in the company with a surveillance camera. The whole place was now quiet since all the workers had left for home. Julia decided to go out of the washroom with no intention of returning to Jason's apartment. She was walking down the hallway towards the exit when Jason saw her on the monitor. He quickly left his desk and, using the stairs, went down to the hallway where he had seen her. Julia stopped behind the exit door and tried to compose herself to look normal before stepping out. Just then, the door opened and Jason entered. She took a couple of steps backwards, looking at him more terrified.
"What are you doing here at this hour?" came Jason's deep voice and Julia shook her head in a 'no'.
Julia's face was red, her eyes were watery and puffy from crying so much.
"What happened?" Jason asked and Julia shook her head in 'no', but Jason could tell she was extremely terrified.
"What did my brother say or do to you?" Jason asked, sounding calm, but Julia still shook her head in a 'no' and in silence blinked her tears away, which were accompanied by sobs she could not control.
Jason's heart ached to see Julia like that and, without giving it much thought, he moved closer to her and embraced her. Julia allowed Jason to hug her.
"Come with me," Jason said, his voice sounding more calm and gentle.
Jason walked with Julia towards the parking lot and asked Peter to get his things from the office. Most of the guards were surprised to see Jason walking with a woman in his arms. Jason opened the door and made Julia sit inside the back seat of the car, stopping the guards from getting into the car. He closed the door and was alone with her in the car.
"Now, tell me, why are you crying?" Jason asked, his voice sounding very soft.
For some reason, Julia's current state was equally impacting him. Julia hardly smiled, but her tears made Jason feel bad inside.
"What did James do? Please tell me," Jason said.
Hearing Jason say please to her for the first time, Julia felt she could trust him.
"He, he, he touched me," Julia stammered, speaking with sobs.
Jason started boiling inside with anger. He knew his brother and was very aware he was capable of doing that.
"Where?" Jason asked, sounding a bit angry.
Julia got scared and couldn't reply, but her hand was still covering her chest. Jason's eyes shifted to her chest, which she had been covering since he found her, and had already drawn his conclusion.
"Let me see," Jason said, wanting to confirm his thoughts.
Julia closed her eyes and dropped her hands to the side. Jason unbuttoned the two buttons on the front of the dress, and he saw red marks on her chest. He could already imagine James slipping his hand into her dress and looking at the nail marks. He frowned and fastened the buttons back. He asked the guards to get in the car and they headed home.
"Make the journey 45 minutes," Jason said. "No bumpy rides," he ordered, and the guard responded, and they drove out of the company.
Julia had slept in Jason's arms by the time they arrived at the house. Jason had requested the journey time be increased by 15 minutes, so Julia could sleep.
"Take her to my room on the 7th floor," Jason ordered and went up to the 6th floor as the guard carried Julia to the 7th floor as instructed.
When Jason entered the living room, the first person he saw was James. Without a word, he punched him so hard in the face, that James's nose fractured immediately, and he fell to the floor.
