A Night to Remember - Part 2
Julia lifted her gaze to see he was pouring another glass of wine and was surprised to see him smiling. She had never seen him smile. Her eyes shifted to the big bottle of wine on the table, and she realized it was empty. He was drunk.
"You like working in my company?" Jason asked, staring at the glass in his hand.
"Yes, I do and thank you for giving me that opportunity," Julia replied.
"Good, I like the designs you made and so did my clients," Jason said, smiling, and Julia wondered if he was talking about how she felt about working in the company or if he was talking about the project designs.
"It was good work done," Jason added.
Jason was more relaxed now as he asked one question after another and Julia could not keep up as he was just changing topics with each query. He opened the car door and stepped out, pulling Julia with him. Jason emptied the glass of wine and threw the glass away, breaking it. Julia jumped at the sound of the breaking glass. Just then, the guard appeared carrying a tray of food. He was surprised to see Jason leaning against the limo whose door was open as he held Julia's hand.
"Finally you are here," Jason said, smiling, and turned to look at Julia.
"Are you hungry?" Jason asked, looking at Julia. "Nope," he replied to himself and turned to the guard.
"We are good. Take that away," Jason commanded, and turned to Julia. "Come, let me show you something," he said, and started taking steps towards the elevator, pulling Julia along.
After taking two steps, he stopped and inhaled the air outside deeply and decided to continue walking towards the elevator, but kept staggering, so Julia had to support him. With him refusing to let go of her hand, she knew if she didn't support him, they would both end up falling to the ground.
It was late and so Peter had gone to bed, leaving the guards for the night shift to take charge. They were quite surprised, as none of them had seen Jason smiling before. Even though they stood in their various positions, they couldn't help but steal glances at Jason's funny walk towards the elevator. Jason and Julia both entered the elevator and went up to the 7th floor.
"Come in," Jason said and opened the entrance door after unlocking it with a key he took from his pocket.
It was a twin version of the 6th-floor apartment. The set-up and designs were exact. If Julia had not seen him press the 7th floor inside the elevator, she would have thought they had just entered the living room on the 6th floor. The decoration and everything were the same as his 6th-floor apartment.
"This is my second apartment," Jason said. "I come here to hide from everyone," he said, still holding Julia's hand.
"You are my wife now, and you are supposed to know," Jason explained, and Julia just nodded.
"I will give you a key to this apartment. If you feel you need some peace and quiet, you can always come here. The walls are soundproof," Jason added as he walked her towards the sofa.
"It's exactly the same as the apartment on the next floor," Jason said and sat on the sofa, pulling Julia to join him. "Now this is what I want you to do," he said, turning to face her.
"I want you to redesign this apartment. I want it to look different from my other apartment," Jason said, and Julia nodded.
Julia was seeing a different side of Jason she had never met before but was still scared of him as he quickly changed into a beast anytime she went silent on him.
Julia just followed Jason out of fear and clearly didn't understand why he set the dinner date and why he brought her to this apartment.
Jason took Julia on a tour of the floor and showed her his bedroom. The arrangement and decoration were a bit different from the one on the 6th floor. It appears it was the only part of the apartment that didn't follow the same rule of decoration. He took her back to the living room after giving her a tour of the floor and made her sit on the sofa. He also sat down on the sofa and relaxed his back on the backrest.
"You are very beautiful Julia," Jason complimented, looking at her face as his hand traced the curve of her face.
Julia instantly tensed up but her legs and her whole body refused to react, even though her mind had already registered what was going to happen if she didn't get away from there fast. She may not be an expert, but she could clearly read the desire in his eyes.
With Julia sitting so close to Jason, he felt different and he liked it. Jason was not sure when he started leaning in towards Julia and Julia kept leaning backwards till she was now lying on the sofa with him on top of her. Both of her feet were still on the floor as she pushed against his strong chest with both of her hands, but he was like a rock that wouldn't move. Jason looked into her eyes, which were sparkling like diamonds.
"Don't be afraid Julia," Jason whispered against her lips.
"No, please," Julia pleaded, her voice sounding like she was about to cry.
Feeling the softness of her lips against his, a strong desire he could not control awakened within him, and he gave in to it. Even though Julia still protested, Jason didn't let go. He had never felt like that before. He knew at that moment, he wanted her. He treated her body with a lot of care, making her give in rather than forcing her.
Julia, who was protesting, became confused as she was torn between listening to her mind or her body. One part of her wanted to push him away and the other part wanted him to continue, but both feelings were overcome by her fear of what he would do to her if she dared to push him away. She lay on the sofa beneath him and allowed him to explore her body with his hands. The chaos in her mind was soon conquered with passion, and she found herself responding to him, and they spent the moment lost in a feeling they both didn't want to end.
On the 6th floor, Mirenda knocked on her mother's door.
"Come in," replied Mrs Haward, and Mirenda entered the room.
"Well, you are right. Jason knew about the will," Mirenda said, walking towards the bed.
Mrs Haward was sitting behind the dressing table cleaning her face with a cleanser. She stopped cleaning her face and turned to look at Mirenda who was sitting on the bed.
"How did you find that out?" Mrs Haward asked curiously.
