Friendship and partnership is the reason why their parents want them to get married. Otherwise, this fool here cannot compete with her in terms of standards and financial status.
“I am your fiance, Camella and you should bow before me” Jack fought back. This whole shit was all because of this poor wrench who couldn't even afford a car. He dares to make Camella defy him so publicly.
“Hey you, uncuff him immediately” Camella ordered and in a couple of seconds, Andre was freed. She went to him and looked at him all over and was sure he was not injured. Then she glanced at his shirt, it appeared rumpled.
She understood. He must have struggled with three men before they could have overpowered him. Camella's fury let loose “you harassed me and that is not enough, you brought men to harass my friend as well?”
“Let it go already” Andre declared and flippantly waved them off. The men glanced at Jack and he nodded. They got into their van and went away.
“The next time you try this nonsense, I will call the wedding off and that would be the end of it” she declared and walked away.
Jack Johnson just sneered and walked away. Andre watched as he got into his car and zoomed off.
Seeing the crowd and the sigh of relief expressed on the face of the restaurant manager, Camella said “I'm sorry Andre. I didn't mean to invite you over to experience such embarrassment. Can we please talk in my car?” She requested.
Andre shrugged, glanced at his wristwatch and said “It's alright, let's make it snappy” he agreed. But they soon got talking in the car and Andre said “I already left the Wood's Electroworld, I'm not coming back there.
I'm still here because my mom had refused to come along with me to England. If I want to get a job, I will do so at any company of my choice but definitely not yours…”
“I'm not asking you to come and work as an employee but as a partner!” Camella blurted. Anything she would do, that would bring Andre back, she would do it. And this is an offer, she would never offer anyone without a proof of capability but she's offering it to him.
Andre paused and stared at her. She wants him to become a partner with the Wood's Electroworld? He doesn't have anything to put forward as a network or experience in it. How will he even think about it?
Seeing he was quiet, just staring at her, she felt attracted to him further. They were both seated at the passenger seat and the chauffeur had stepped out. She subconsciously stretched her hands and took his hand in hers.
There was a spark, a feeling was ignited within her and a gush of excitement filled her entire being. She felt like drawing closer to him and placing her head on his torso but she restrained herself.
This kind of feeling was strange to her. She'd definitely had a crush on some guys in college and high school but it's nothing like what she was feeling for Andre at the moment. At that moment, when she had mixed feelings of confusion, Andre gently pulled his hand away from her.
He didn't say a word but Camella understood his silence now. He doesn't want her to touch him. She blushed and felt embarrassed but quickly recovered her wits and smiled “I'm sorry” she apologised.
Andre still didn't answer and was just staring at her. And she felt frustrated “I don't like your silence, it's killing me. Talk to me” Camella requested. She suggested partnership with him, he was quiet. She took his hand and he pulled it away from her, yet still quiet.
“What do you want me to say, Camella? You are suggesting that I become your partner? Where do I get the financial capability from? I don't have what it takes, what should I say?” Andre replied helplessly.
This is an offer coming to him on a platter of gold and he wishes he wouldn't let it slip off. But what will he do now?
“You're not partnering with me, You're partnering with the Wood's Electroworld. I just want to reward you for your kindness, Andre. I want you back and I won't be able to forgive myself if I see you getting employed by another company…” Camella explained.
He nodded and said “I'll be grateful if you can help me” Andre appreciated. That way their meeting was concluded and Andre is to be at the Wood's Electroworld the next morning to sign the contract.
She even offered to drop him off at home and he was grateful. Andre was happy. It's a double happiness. He is going to be a part of the basketball players at the forthcoming international tournament and now, he's getting an offer of partnership with the Wood's Electroworld.
As the chauffeur arrived at Andre's home, Camella smiled and thanked him for his time and for saving her from the fierce and violent act of Jack Johnson.
She watched as Andre walked away. She cannot help but keep staring at him. He is so perfect in physique. She hadn't seen his upper body besides his biceps but one can tell, he does work out. A perfectly ripped body. She must confess that she admires him.
As he soon disappeared behind a closed door, a hollow descended on her. Why did she suddenly feel empty and unhappy? As the chauffeur drives her back to the company, camella doesn't feel like talking anymore.
Did he leave and take away her excitement with him? She took the CEO elevator and went to the top floor. As she stepped out and walked towards her office, she saw Fred Maxwell having a chit chat with her secretary Mary.
“You almost scared me, Miss Camella,” Fred Maxwell blurted when he saw her. She had overstayed after the lunch hour and she went with none of her Bodyguards.
Ignoring his words, she walked past him into her office with the instruction “Come with me”. She appeared exhausted. She got in and Fred followed behind.
“We'll be having Andre Torello back to the company…” Camella informed.
“What, Andre Torello? How did you get to convince him?” Fred blurted.
