A broad smirk appeared on Jack's face. That would be better. Then he can bring Sona home and his daughter. Their forever happy afterlife would become a reality. His heart only belongs to Sona and their daughter.
Camella Wood would only be a tool to get them a secured life and future.
That evening, Sarah walked over, knocked on Camella's door. But rather than open the door, Camella replied from within “I am not in for your lectures tonight, dad. Please go away” she snorted. She's trying, but it isn't working out well.
The sight of this dude, infuriates her for no just reasons. And now, she's expected to spend the rest of her life with him? Why can't she find him attractive? Why can't she admire a single thing about him?
This is going to be a hell of a marriage.
“No, it's not your dad, dear” Sarah corrected and she'd hardly finished speaking when Camella opened the door and hugged Sarah “nanny” she said in excitement. How could she have forgotten that there's someone so dear she could share her worries with?
Sarah got in and Camella shut the door. She helplessly sank into the sofa, relief descended on her and she sighed. She waited until the older woman sat down and stared at her.
“I feel pissed up, nanny. Dad doesn't care about how I feel or my happiness. This family of the Johnsons is a pain in my ass…” Camella grunted. She feels suffocated by their visit.
“But they only visited to have dinner with you and your dad. What makes you pissed off about that?” Sarah asked. Why is she feeling that the degree of her rage was nothing to do with the visit of her fiance and his parents?
“The sight of them makes me uncomfortable. Why should they visit for dinner? Couldn't they sit back in their house and have their dinner without having to trouble someone else's peace of mind? Who requested a visit from them, huh?” She seethed.
“Your wedding date needs to be agreed upon. And that is better done over a dinner table. I don't see anything wrong with them coming over to share their evening with you Camella” Sarah cautioned.
“That's the point, nanny, that's it. The worst thing I want to think about at the moment is that bullshit you call a wedding. I know the day I marry that guy, I have signed away my happiness nanny, why isn't anyone seeing that?” Camella bellowed, gnashing her teeth.
She stood up, walking back and forth, feeling agitated. Dad didn't see it, will her nanny also not see through the whole scenario? She's not in love with that dude, she's not and despite trying her best, it's just not working.
“Your dad is unhappy with your attitude and asked me to talk to you,Camella…” Sarah informed and paused. Despite not saying anything further, camella paused in her steps and glared at Sarah.
Dad reported her to her nanny?
“Do you want him to feel like a failed father? You lost your mom early and this man had raised you to become a princess that you are today. He gave you the best that he could afford. And now, you make him lose face before his future in-laws?
Why Camella? If you are troubled, talk to me. I'm here, I have never turned you down in the past and I can't do that now. Why do you want your father frustrated? I don't understand you anymore. Even today, I also lost face…” Sarah scolded.
Camella went and stood by the window. She tried holding back her tears. She'd always do the wrong thing. Can't she for once do the right thing?
“Talk to me, Camella, I promise to be patient and listen to you. What is wrong with you, What's eating you up? Is this about the union of you and Jack Johnson or there's something you are not telling me?” Sarah asked, totally confused with her daughter.
Camella sighed softly and turned to face her nanny “getting married to Jack Johnson is entirely not my interest, I'm doing it for dad and he thinks I was making him lose face before the Johnson's. It's nothing like what he thinks.
I just couldn't think of anything else besides Andre Torello. I want him back, nanny. It's his habit to come to play basketball every evening, but he'd stopped coming because of me. He is avoiding me and I can't concentrate on anything else besides his thoughts.
I owe so much to that dude and until I succeed, I will not be getting married. I can't even think of marriage or Jack or anything else, except him. It's affecting my concentration at work. All I want is to be acquainted with Andre and everything else will fall into place..” Camella explained.
Sarah just stared at Camella with a distorted feeling. What is she saying, she hopes is not what she is thinking?
“And you've apologised to him? Did you say you are sorry?” Sarah asked and Camella shrugged, she did something like that.
“I can't remember using exactly that word. But he knows that I regret my words and actions towards him. But he doesn't spare me a glance. No matter how hard I tried to get closer to him, he goes farther as if I would plague him with an illness or something.
And now, the vacuum he'd left in the company cannot be filled by anyone. We've tried but none of them is Andre Torello. They're trying to be but they just couldn't fit into the position. My heart yearns for his return and the company is screaming out for lack of competent hands and yet, he can't hear anything” Camella gnashed.
“This has to be done by you alone. Don't go with anyone…” Sarah taught her how to go about it. She saw Camella's face lit up with a broad smile. She's pleased and her demeanor changed.
As she rose up and declared her interest in retiring to her room. Camella walked her to the door and kissed her wrinkled chin “thank you nanny, you're the best”
Sarah smiled and said good night to her. As she stepped out of her room and the door was shut, Sarah turned herself and glanced at her door. She stood there for a while before leaving for her room.
She hopes Camella's obsession for Andre was for a mere reconciliation and bringing him back to the company.
The next morning, Andre Torello went to the city hospital with a letter. He was given a letter to present to any of the doctors in the hospital so he could be as certain to be medically fit before he fully gets enrolled as one of those athletes going for the tournament.
He briefly told his mom what he went for the previous day and what they requested him to do. Alice Torello blessed his day and said he could go, many good things will always happen to him.
As Andre arrived at the hospital, he was attended to. His blood samples were taken, his heart was x-rayed and soon, he was given a sealed medical report to return to the sports council.
As he stepped out, a woman bumped into him, holding a baby and she was agitating and scared. As he moved away from the woman and she raised her head to glance at him, their eyes locked.
“Sona!” Andre called out.
“Brother Andre?” Sona responded in shock.
