“I'm sorry, Andre for everything. Despite saving me from getting stuck in the snow, my next encounter with you was that of humiliation. I was wrong, Andre, I was not concerned about your ego and respect, I did only what I thought was right, but I was completely wrong.
I judged you wrongly. I hit you and I say horrible words to you, and yet you didn't fight back. And then, I slashed your money, your hard work and didn't even spare you a glance about what you feel.
And the height of my senselessness was when I had you locked up. I can't imagine my inhuman treatment towards you. I'm sorry Andre, if you can, please forgive me. I was responsible for your resignation. I was the reason why you decided to leave and now, my life lacks peace and happiness.
I'm sorry Andre, please forgive me….” Camella apologised. She was sincere. Her voice became shaky and she clasped her hands together before him. Her eyes reddened and she just stared at him, with a remorseful gaze.
Andre sighed softly and looked away. She's sincerely sorry now. He could see it in her eyes and she meant every word she spoke. Realising that he was the man that day, that definitely must have broken her further.
“It's fine. I just want you to know that being silent is not always the same as being guilty. When I came to your office, you probably felt I was really guilty. I've always lived my life this way, Miss Camella…” Andre explained.
“Call me Camella. Those formalities are not welcome anymore” Camella requested. She doesn't want him to think that anyone is superior to the other.
Andre chuckled and said nothing.
“It then means, you've accepted my apologies…?” Camella stuttered, staring at Andre with a smiling face. He smirked quietly and shrugged.
“If there's nothing else, thanks for the lunch. I'll be on my way now” Andre declared and was going to get up when someone else answered from a distance.
“Not so quick, Andre Torello” it was Jack Johnson. He had asked men to trail Andre henceforth until he is sure he will keep out of business that doesn't concern him. And he was informed that he'd in the restaurant, having lunch with his fiancée.
Camella turned and saw Jack walking towards them. How did he know that she was at the restaurant? He seemed to wear a frown and she subconsciously glanced at Andre. He was glaring at her fiance with resentment.
This is all her fault. She's the reason why Andre resents him. She was the one who ordered him to slap Andre and throw him out of her office. And now that she'd been forgiven, she'll have to plead on Jack's behalf as well.
“Is it right to go for lunch with my fiancée without my knowledge?” He asked, his gaze on Andre as if he was a rival. His eyes send daggers and warnings to the seated man.
Andre chuckled and said “thanks for the lunch, Camella” and stood up. He is tall and towers over Jack with an intimidating aura. He stared at him hard and ordered “Get out of my way Jack Johnson”
His words were distinct and sharp. It was followed by an immediate response from Jack. He stepped aside and Andre was going to leave when Camella said “Oh Andre, can you spare me some minutes more, I'm not done yet” she requested, ignoring the third party standing aside.
Andre stared at her and said “Then tell this scumbag to leave my face” he ordered. How can he be having a conversation with Camella and he stays around them? He isn't going to tolerate that nonsense.
Camella turned to Jack “We were in the middle of a meeting when you showed up. Please excuse us” She requested as politely as she could towards Jack. She doesn't like the attitude of this dude at all.
How can he walk into them and pick up on her guest? What nonsense!
“You are asking me to leave, Camella? I am your fiance and I should be the most important person to you in this life and yet, you're asking me to leave because of this poor employee who can't settle a meagre debt from your company…” Jack was saying when Camella raised her hand and stopped him.
“How dare you insult Andre before me, how dare you?” She seethed. Now her facial expression had turned aghast. He now talks down on a man she was getting acquainted with? Simply because he witnessed the scene in her office that day?
She carefully turned and glanced at Andre, he was staring at Jack with a blank expression. She cannot say nor guess what was going on in his heart at all.
“It appears your knowledge about me is obsolete now, Jack Johnson,” Andre smirked. Still talking about that day, when he was harassed in Camella's office.
“Yes, you're definitely going to go obsolete if you try crossing me over my woman. I know you are trying to win her to your side. That's what gold diggers like you do. Try to come between two happy lovers and try to ruin their happiness by creating a niche for yourself…”
“Why are you picking on my friend? Andre was an employee of the Wood's Electroworld and not in your nostril company. How dare you defy me by insulting him? Have you lost it?” Camella bellowed.
“Have you ever invited me for lunch or dinner? No, you have never made the move. And when I do, you will find reasons to cause a misunderstanding and walk away. But here you are, seated comfortably with a mere employee to have lunch.
Have you always preferred him to me? For how long have you been involved with him behind my back? I could see how soft hearted you are before him, acting so fragile and delicate. But before me, you're something else…” Jack was saying and without waiting another minute, he grabbed Camella by the wrist and dragged her violently.
Andre lost his tempers and went after him. Despite Camella's struggles, he didn't listen to her and when Andre got closer he pulled Camella off his grip and pulled him by his collar and next, he dazed him with a deadly blow in his belly.
Jack staggered backwards and a blinding slap followed. Andre held Camella and said “Henceforth, I will shield her from you and your malicious intentions. This is my decision and I will get along with it” he announced.
Holding Camella he said “Get the CCTV footage of this incident and let's leave” he declared and a few minutes later, she was out and the manager of the restaurant came after her to plead and apologise.
“This has got nothing to do with your restaurant,this scoundrel who doesn't know how to respect women is the one who infiltrated our happy moments and ruined it” she declared and stepped out only to find Andre being forced into a police car.
“Stop it!” Camella bellowed and walked over. He saw how he was being overpowered and his hands cuffed to the back. She went over and declared “uncuff him immediately?” She ordered and the men glanced at each other and chuckled.
“You think they will listen to you? They only take orders from me?” Jack declared triumphantly. His lips showed signs of his bleeding and his complexion has turned reddened.
“Who are you to give orders when Camella Wood is present? Do you want to court death? Jack Johnson? If you push me an inch further than you're done for, I'll get back at you and you won't survive it!” Camella warned.
