"Hello," came Angela's sweet voice after the guard had redialed her number for the third time.
"Listen to me carefully, I have your friend Zora here. If you want to see her again and alive, do as exactly as I tell you," the guard said.
"Who are you?" Angela asked.
"I am the one who decides what happens to your friend," the guard said. Maybe you think I am joking," he added. George then asked another guard to hit Zora.
The guard removed the cloth from Zora's lips and a slap landed on her face making her scream. Another followed the slap and Zora let out a cry.
"I believe you recognized that scream," the guard said and George nodded asking the guard to continue.
"Please don't hurt my friend," Angela cried after hearing Zora's voice.
"That depends on you," the guard said. "I want you to come to a location I am going to give you. At exactly 6 p.m. today, you should be there. Bring cash half a million dollars and I will release your friend to you. Don't get the police involved and make sure you don't involve anyone else. If you do, I would send your friend's body to you in bits," he said.
"Please, I am not working. How do I," Angela began but the guard interrupted her.
"That is your business. You have an hour to gather the money and move," the guard said and ended the call.
"Well, done," George said. "Put the cloth back on her lips," he said and walked towards the exit.
He pulled the guard who had made the call with him to the other room.
"Now, you guys need to be vigilant. It's Bryce we went. Angela is only bait for Bryce, while Zora is bait for Angela. There are two plans here. If Angela comes alone, we kidnap her and use her to bring Bryce here. If she comes with Bryce, Eduardo's team will handle him," George explained.
"Yes boss," the guard replied and was about to say something when his phone rang.
He checked the caller ID and answered the call immediately.
"Hello Eduardo," George said as soon as he answered the call. "Yes, everything is going down tonight. Have your team on standby at the location I gave you the other time," he said. "Perfect," he said after a few minutes and ended the call.
"Eduardo's men would be here in ten minutes. Call Angela back after five minutes and give her the location where she needs to be," George instructed.
"Yes, boss," the guard acknowledged and George headed for the exit.
At the Davis family home, Matilda sat in the living room going through her phone. She decided to check something up using the search engine but when she opened the browser a piece of news caught her eyes. She frowned and tapped on the news.
Bryce Moore, former CEO of Diamond Corporation and now the heir of the once-powerful Davis family, has been caught in a scandal. Well, a former employee by the name of Angela Anderson, is rumoured to be his wife. However, images circulating on social media showing the extent of their relationship are also now displaying images of Angela's involvement with Mr Bryce Moore's loyal guard, Martin. Matilda read the news and frowned. She checked other sites and the news is trending with images of Angela and Bryce and Angela and Martin doing the dirty.
"This news is false. Susan is definitely behind this," Matilda said. "Well, this helps. It would shift focus from our family if anything goes wrong," she said.
"If what goes wrong?" George said making Matilda turn to look in his direction.
"Well, see for yourself," Matilda said and showed George her phone.
"Interesting, I wondered what Bryce is doing now," George commented and gave the phone back to Matilda.
"Everything is set for tonight. Your son will be home soon. Angela has taken the bait. We have two plans to handle whatever decision Angela would take," George informed Matilda and she smiled.
