Chapter 46" Strange, my friends find out who their mate?"

Someone else P.O.V.

I know that smell. I told myself. "Oh, yeah, me too." My wolf Adam I heard my wolf say in my mind. But I know she is not my mate, but she is in heat, and I want no need for her to help my species to not go in instinct.

"But Demetrius, how are we going to get her away from her lapdogs? They are always around, man." Adam said inside my mind.

"Don't worry, her parents love me, so I know they let me talk to her," I told my wolf. But then I blocked off my mind from Adam, and I thought with a smirk she would be mine!

"Damn, she got a fine ass!" I heard Adam say in my mind. But when I watched her walk away and then run away from the woods. Yeah, I said it to no one around me in the open. But Avery, she was already gone when I said that when it spilled out of my mouth.

Avery P.O.V

What was that, I thought? I felt someone was watching me, and it didn't feel right. It made me watch my surroundings because I was out of my territory where my pack was. But the time I was away from whoever it was was walking me and following me.

When I got close to my house, I could hear the music playing in my backyard, and they were practicing before my party started.

When I walked around the corner, I saw my two best friends, Ashely and Natalie. I saw the guys with them, but it looked like they were having a private meeting, and Natalie looked upset and crying when Eli spoke to her, but his face told it all. He was rejecting her, or he was bullying her. I didn't like him hurting her; she told me she was fine and she could handle it.

Yeah, right, I thought; how can she let that jerk treat her like a ragdoll and use a napkin to use? He and Jayson have always been mean to my friends. But what about your bullies, Avery my head was telling me. I didn't want to talk about myself right now. My friends are hurting right now, and I need to go to them.

So, I started walking closer to them when I saw Ashely grab Jayson by his shirt, and she was angry at him because he was smirking at her and said something to her that made her stop and stare into his eyes and drop his shirt and start running away. Then I stopped walking when I got in front of him.

I saw his face. He didn't want to say whatever he said because his smirk dropped on his face, and he yelled after her and took off behind her.

"No! Eli. I can't do this anymore with you" I am done with you treating me like a piece of meat and a slave." I heard Natalie say with a broken voice and tears running down her face.

"Sweetheart, you need to hear me out." he tried to say more, but she stopped him from speaking to her.

"No, Eli, I am not going to be waiting for you anymore. I have loved you since I was ten years old, and I can't have my heart broken again from you. That you know I am your mate, and I have been in love with you for so long!" Natalie yelled at him again when he tried to stop her. People were staring at them, but I don't think they had seen us around them.

"You go, Natalie, tell that asshole off, don't let him treat you like that again," I mumbled under my breath. But when I saw my best friend hurting with pain inside her eyes. I knew she was the one who rejected him because I heard her say.

"I, Natalie Lynn Steele, reject you, Eli Ryan Wallace, as my mate." She said with her voice strong and her head hiding high but with pain inside her eyes from doing this to him. She is the one who said it before he said it to her. She didn't want him to beat her, saying that he didn't want her as his mate and love.

She stared at him, and he didn't look too good. He had tears running down his face, and he looked like he was on death doors. But then he tries to grab her, and he tries to kiss her.

No! She screamed and pushed him away from her and shook her head at him, and ran away towards the pool house.

"You will be mine, Natalie; you mark my words; I will get you back," Eli said when he screamed after her. But then he was going to go after her, but before he could, Elijah and Jake, my mates, grabbed him.

"No, fuck" let me go!" He said with a pissed-off and possession look on his face. He was moving around and trying to get out of the guy's hold, but they were strong Eli was stronger right now because the wolf was trying to come out, and he was mad. He wanted to chase down his mate, grab her, and ensure she never leaves again.

"No, I will not accept your rejection. You're my mate Natalie Steele!" He yelled out when he was going after her again, but Jake and Elijah held a tight grip on him. He was ignored and pissed off at what was happening around him because someone kept him away from his prize.

"Dude, calm down. You need to relax before you hurt yourself or worse." Jake said and started over at me. Then he said, "I don't know if he is talking about Natalie anymore or me."

But I do know Eli is getting angry and impatient with his friends not letting him go after his mate! Because how I know because he yelled out to her.
