Avery P.O.V.
"We need to get going, sweetheart, or we will be late for school." I heard Elijah say with a cocky grin on his face. I looked over at Jake, and I saw him look at him with an annoyed and irritated expression on his face, and then I saw he rolled his eyes.
That was when he turned his head back over toward me. I didn't know what had just happened and why he gave Elijah that kind of expression on his face, I didn't know what was going on with these two, but I knew one thing is it was getting wild and weird seeing how they were acting to each chatter.
"Yeah princess," You don't want to be late, or do you want to stay here and stare at us with your bedroom eyes, huh." I heard Jake say, staring into my eyes with a smile on his lips and a laugh deep in his chest.
But the smile didn't reach his eyes. I can see the way he's looking at me. He wants me, and I can tell that. Also, he said to me that in the last two months ago. I should believe him and Elijah, but I am stubborn and hardheaded.
"Yeah, sure... We should get going." I said and started walking towards them, and I hurried past them, but what my steps and I walked out the door. I didn't want to look at them.
I already know my face is bright red. Because I walked down the hall and walked in a fast-paced downstairs, I knew they started following me because I could feel their heated eyes on my back or even my ass.
I know because I heard Angelstar and Angelica giggling inside my head. I wanted to tell them to shut the hell up, but I didn't. I just kept walking down the stairs with the guys right behind me.
When I went around the corner, I saw my mom and dad were nowhere to be found. I looked around for them. I saw something on the counter, a piece of paper.
I picked it up and read it; I knew what happened. Did they leave? They left me alone with them. Now I am nervous.
"Why, you're going to be alone with them anyway in the truck driving to school anyway!" I heard Angelstar's smart-ass mouth say inside my mind.
"Oh, I know that!" I told her with a groan with an eye roll. She shut up with a growl and went back to the back of her mind. I started reading the letter.
"Dear Avery,
"If you're reading this. That means Daddy and I already left for wolf work. But anyway, I know the guys are there, and they told me and your dad they were going to make sure you get to school on time. So, be a nice princess! I can hear her demand with a laugh in her voice.
P.s. their money is on the table for breakfast and lunch for school. We love you, honey, and have a wonderful day at school.
Mom and Dad.
After I read the letter and walked over to the money, my parents left me. I grabbed the hundred dollars and put it in my pocket in my dress. I like dresses, but as long as they have pockets.
That's just great, Mom and Dad, I thought with a groan and annoyed with them leaving me here with two guys who used to hate me and treated me like shit, and now they are here saying I am their mate, and they love me, blah blah...
I want to believe them, but I can't with this fucking hard head of mine. Oh, God, what have I got myself into? Now here all by myself with them. Why didn't I didn't leave with my parent?
Oh yeah, I was corned in my room with these two nightmares standing in my doorway, so at the time, I didn't know I could walk past them. I feared them when I was ten-year-old and now.
Hell, I am petrified of them.
They scare me!
So right now, I am unable to move right now. That is how I remember how they treated me in school in the past, and I started to shrive thinking about how they did to me and the expression on their face before how they hated me.
I remember my heart breaking, remembering their face. I could never forget that. So, I stopped thinking about the past with the awful how they treated me. I walked past them and started going to the door. I didn't bother looking behind me. I just walked out my front door and started walking toward Elijah's truck...
By the time we got to the school. We had to stop at McDonald's to get breakfast, and I got sausage and gray with biscuits and iced coffee with caramel. They got two big breakfasts and sausage biscuits, and four hash browns.
Good God! They have an appetite. Where the hell are they putting it? I thought in my mind, and I heard the other female voice giggling and moaning in her voice.
My mom always told me guys could eat, and she was right. I see my dad give them a run for their money, I thought with a giggle under my breath.
"What?" huh, what you say, sweetheart." I heard Jake say, turning around with food still in his hand.
I see he has harsh brown half-eating in his mouth when he starts talking. After we parked the truck, I got out and grabbed my things and coffee, and turned at them.
Thanks for the ride." I said with a smile, shut the door, and started walking to my school.
So, now I am at my locker and started opening the door, got my books, and put my other books in there for the next period.
By the time I was shutting my door. I felt it shut fast, and it almost got my fingers; I yelped, gasped, and jumped back. I almost broke my fingers because someone wanted to be an asshole today.
I was going to turn around and tell whoever was off to shut my locker almost on my fucking fingers. I am getting pissed off, and the person will get a mouth full of my anger.
So, before I turned around and told the person off that, hearing the voice gave me nightmares for five years now......
