The Alpha Triplets and the Rogue

529 Fix Him

Ch. 529 / 580 Jan 28, 2026

Wren POV

Edward returned with Macy faster than I would have liked. But at the same time. She did not return fast enough. They burst through the cabin door, and dread fills my stomach. Edward looks winded, but Macy looks perfect as always. Her large wings lay beautifully down her back, and her makeup is flawless. I am in awe of how effortlessly she moves through the cabin.

I leave Destin's side and make room for Macy to work. She slides in beside him and sits down on the couch with him. The first thing she does is remove the book from his chest. She flips through the pages with a scowl on her face.

"This is very dark magic," she whispers. "This shouldn't exist."

"What if it can save the werewolf world?" Edward asks.

Macy places the book beside her, avoiding her mate's question. She whispers incantations under her breath and then waits, but Destin remains still. She repeats the incantations and tries new ones. It goes on for hours.

She is hovering over Destin, trying to wake him, but nothing she is doing is working. Finally, she grabs him buy the shoulders and shakes him vigorously. Edward snorts with laughter, but I am not amused. Her face is inches from his, and I can't control my jealousy. I glance at my brothers, but they don't seem to be as upset about the situation as I am. It makes me wonder if I will ever get over the past between them.

"Do you know what you are doing?" I finally snap when Macy runs a finger over his skin.

"Wren," she sighs. "I need to dive into his mind. I might be able to speak to him."

I cross my arms over my chest and pout. I know I am being childish, but I don't care. "Whatever."

I hate that I can't let myself trust her. But when she presses her fingers to his temples, a growl rumbles in my chest. Charlie places a hand on my shoulder. "Maybe we should leave the room for a bit."

I glare in his direction. "No."

Charlie doesn't fight my decision, but he does wrap his arms around me. He does little to calm me when my eyes are glued to the scene in front of me.

Macy's eyes are closed, and her brows are knitted together. Her fingers rub little circles against his temples, and I finally look away. It feels like I am intruding on something intimate.

"Where are you, Destin?" Macy mumbles under her breath.

Going into his mind isn't working. I can feel it. Only the steady rise and fall of his chest lets me know he is still alive.

Finally, Macy steps back and turns her attention to the book lying beside her. "I think we need a Gray Creature."

"Aren't you part Gray Creature?" Winston yawns.

"Not anymore," she replies. "A Gray Creature occupied me, but when Selene released her soul, the powers left me."

I lean against Charlie and try to fight back tears. "So, what do we do now?" I grumble.

"I know which one we need," Edward says. "But I don't think we can get her to come to the Human Realm."

"Then we will have to take him back to the Immortal Realm," Macy sighs.

"I'm coming with him," I blurt out.

Macy offers me a kind smile. "I would expect nothing less. What about you, Charlie? Are you coming as well?"

His face screws up like he has smelled something bad. "I would rather not."

"You have no choice," I inform him. "We have to stay close together."

Charlie rolls his eyes. "I said I would rather not, but I never said I wouldn't come."

"When do we leave?" I chirp.

"We should let Mom know," Winston says in a low voice.

"No," I shout. "She will want to tag along, and then Dad will tag along. I don't have the energy for that."

Macy shares a look with her mates, and I know they are speaking about me through their mate bond. "If you have something to say, you can say it aloud."

"Wren," Edward says to me. "There is something you should know before we find the Gray Creature we need."

Charlie tightens his arms around me. "What else could there possibly be?"

"I believe the Gray Creature we need is Onyx. It is rumored that she is Arabella's child," Edward whispers.

"Arabella," I repeat her name. "Destin's previous mate?"

"Yes," Macy cuts in. "But we have no way of knowing if Onyx is Destin's child."

"He would have told me if he had a child," Charlie growls. "Stop trying to make trouble."

Edward steps in front of us. His teeth are bared. "I am not trying to make trouble. I am trying to protect my sister."

Edward is growling, and Charlie is returning in kind. Macy is rolling her eyes, and Winston looks ready to watch a fight.

"Stop," I shout. "There is enough drama without you two fighting. Let's just get to the Immortal Realm and find Onyx. You all can having a pissing contest when we get home."

"Are you sure you still want to go?" Charlie whispers in my ear.

"He is my mate," I snap.

"Don't punish Onyx," Macy warns me. "She is innocent in all of this."

"Just take me to the Immortal Realm," I shout. "I am not a child."

"No one claimed you were," Winston tries to smooth things over. "Macy is just trying to protect her subjects."

I close my eyes, and Charlie runs a finger along my skin. A faint tingling follows his movements, and it puts me at ease. I need to calm down. Everyone here is just trying to help me. When I feel like I have composed myself, I reopen my eyes and look at my brothers.

"I am not going to cause problems," I assure them. "If this were Macy, how would you be reacting?"

"The same way," Edward replies. "I'm sorry."

"Just fix my mate," I cry. "I waited a year for him. I can't lose him now."
