Saved By The Millionaire

Chapter Thirty - The right time.

Ch. 30 / 32 Feb 05, 2025

Blake

Chloe is in complete awe of Paris. I get it. I was the same my first time here, and it is still so beautiful. We had taken time to explore and grab something to eat. I had impressed Chloe with my French skills. I don’t think she realised I could speak it fluently.

“Can we now please go down to the Eiffel Tower?” She asks, excited as we leave the restaurant.

I take her hand in mine, “We sure can, beautiful. It isn’t too far of a walk from here. It is so pretty at night when it is all lit up. You are going to love it.”

“I can’t wait to see it and get some photos.” She beams.

I love seeing her happy and excited. I am glad I am able to show her places she would probably never have the chance to see. She deserves the world, and I will give her it in any way I can.

“I like seeing you smile,” I say and kiss the top of her head.

Chloe glances up at me, “I always smile around you because you make me happy, something I never thought I would be.”

“Good, you make me happy too.” I agree and dip down to kiss her softly.

Chloe moans softly and stops us from walking. She uses my coat to pull me to her and kiss me a little harder. I groan into her lips and hold her tightly to me. She hesitantly pulls away after a minute.

“Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.” She blushes.

“Hmm, don’t even be sorry for that, sweetheart,” I smirk.

She giggles, pecks my lips and then takes her position back at my side, our hands connecting again. We continued with our walk and arrived at the tower not even ten minutes later. It is busy; it always is.

“Are you okay with so many people around, angel?” I ask.

“I will be fine, just stay close, okay?”

“Always,” I promise.

We cross the road carefully because the driving here is a little crazy. We arrive at the other side safely. Chloe quickly takes her cell out and starts snapping photos of the tower. I take my cell out, too, but I snap pictures of her without her knowing. I like natural photos; there is something special about them. It is nice to capture moments without the person knowing you are taking them because they aren’t posed.

“Come get a photo with me.” Chloe insists.

When she turns to face me, she catches me with my cell. She raises her brow at me, “Were you sneakily taking photos of me, Mr?” she giggles.

“Yes. Sorry, not sorry. You looked beautiful. I couldn’t help myself.” I chuckle.

She playfully rolls her eyes at me before she grabs my arm and pulls me towards her. We turned our back to the tower, so it was behind us, and Chloe snapped a couple of photos of us.

“One more.” She whispers, presses her lips to mine in a soft kiss, and takes another.

When we part, she is smiling brightly at me, “Perfect.”

“Yes. Can we get closer?”

“We sure can. We can get a warm drink at one of the food vans and find somewhere to sit and enjoy the view.” I suggest.

“Okay, let’s do that.”

I snake my arm around her waist and keep her close to me. She smiles sweetly up at me before she focuses in front of her. I am sure we can find somewhere to sit, which is a little quieter, away from all the hustle and bustle. As much as I know Chloe loves being here, I don’t want her to become anxious.

“Do you want to take a trip up the tower tomorrow?” I ask.

“Yes! I would love to.” She gushes.

“Great! I will get that arranged for us. I will see if I can get a table for dinner for us, but there may not be any reservations left on such short notice.”

“No, it is okay if we can’t do dinner. We can find somewhere else. I just want to go up and admire the view with you. I will be happy with just that.” She says and kisses my cheek.

I nod, “Okay. I will work it all out once we return to the hotel later.”

“Yes, we can work it out. For now, let’s enjoy the night.”

I smile and kiss her forehead. It isn’t too late; we still have at least a few hours of the night to enjoy before we head back.

We had found a quiet spot next to the river Seine on some steps. There were some people around, but not too many. Chloe has her head resting on my shoulder, and I have my arm around her. We had gotten hot chocolate at the van and some churros with chocolate sauce to share.

Chloe glances up at me with the most beautiful smile on her lips, “Thank you. Tonight has been perfect, Blake. You are amazing.”

I reach in and stroke the hair away from her face, “You are welcome, sweetheart.” I smile back.

We don’t break eye contact, but we fall silent. And in the moment of silence, I decided it was time to be completely honest with her and my feelings.

“W-w-why are you looking at me like that?” she whispers.

“Chloe, I love you,” I say.

I had been wanting to say it before now, but I was waiting for the right time, and now it is.

“Y-y-you love me?”

Her words were barely audible, and I began to wonder if it was too soon.

“Yes, I have done for a while. I am sorry if it is too soon. I don’t want to freak you out, and I don’t expect you to say it back until you are ready.” I say softly.

I don’t want her to think she has to tell me because I told her. You can’t put that pressure on someone. I know she cares a lot about me, and we have a strong, unique bond, and that is enough if she isn’t ready.

Her lips curl into a smile, and her eyes light up, “I love you too.”

“Really?” I grin.

She snickers, “Yes, really. I wanted to tell you before now, but I was nervous.”

I smile brightly and kiss her, “You have become my entire world, angel.”

“And you have become mine. You saved my life in more ways than one, Blake.” She says and caresses my cheek.

I place my forehead to hers, “I love you.” I repeat.

“I love you too.” She replies.

I hug her tightly. I am so glad I didn’t freak her out by telling her. I fell in love with her quickly; it was a little crazy. I had never fallen so hard and quick for someone, but I was scared to tell her in case she ran from me. But I am happy she feels the same as I do.
