Chloe
I get woken with gentle shakes and soft kisses. I open my eyes to see Blake smiling at me. I instantly smile back and rub my eyes.
“We need to get in our seats and belted up; we land soon.” He says and strokes the hair away from my face.
I nod and slowly sit up. I take a moment to pull myself together, and Blake helps me to my feet. I am still half asleep as we head to our seats. He lets me sit first and clicks my belt in for me, kissing my forehead before he takes his seat next to me. Once we are settled, he reaches over and takes my hand in his, linking our fingers.
I can’t even work out where we are by looking through the windows since all the blinds are closed. I guess I need to wait a little longer to find out. I am dreading the landing, but I know Blake won’t let go of my hand until we are safely on the ground.
“What do you want to do when we arrive? Do you want to go out or take the remainder of the day just to relax and stay in the hotel room?” he asks.
“Hmm, I want to go out and explore a little.” I smile.
I may not know where we are going, but I still want to explore since I have never been anywhere before.
“Okay. We can shower, change and head out after. The hotel isn’t too far from where we are landing.” He says and reaches over to kiss me softly.
I feel the jet starting to head downwards and go into panic mode. I close my eyes, trying to steady my breathing as I grip Blake’s hand for dear life.
“I got you, beautiful.” He whispers.
I nod, thinking of other things to distract myself. I can do this! The second I feel the wheels hit the ground, I slowly start to relax. I am glad when we come to a stop.
“Ready to get off, angel?”
I nod, undoing my seatbelt. Blake does the same, standing and offering his hand to help me to my feet. I happily take it, and the staff open the door for us to leave. I step out and glance around, seeing if I can find anything to tell me where I am. My eyes soon landed on something in the distance.
“Wait, is that the Eiffel Tower?” I ask, trying to contain my excitement in case I am wrong.
Blake comes up behind me, resting his hands on my hips, “Welcome to Paris, sweetheart.” He whispers.
I let out a slight squeal of excitement, and he chuckles from behind me. I can’t believe we are in Paris!
“You are too good to me, babe,” I say, glancing over my shoulder at him.
He smiles brightly at me, “You deserve it and worth spoiling.”
I turn to face him, kissing him softly, “Thank you. You are incredible.”
Once we part, he links our fingers and leads us to the waiting town car. Our bags are getting put in the trunk. Blake, being the gentleman he is, opens the door and allows me to slide in first before he follows me. I still can’t believe we are in Paris. He has flown me to Paris like in those romantic movies and books. I just never thought I would be one of those main characters.
I am still trying to work out what good I have done in my life to deserve an angel like Blake. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop and everything to go to hell. But I can’t let my mind go there, not while we are in the beautiful city of love. I refuse to let my fucked-up mind ruin it.

I am in complete awe as we stand on the balcony of our hotel. I can see the Eiffel Tower from here. I can see a lot of the city. I don’t think I have ever seen anything so beautiful. And the hotel is out of this world. It is more like an apartment than a hotel room. The tears brim in my eyes, happy tears, but I quickly wipe them away before Blake notices.
I rest my head on his shoulder, and he slips his arm around me, kissing the top of my head. I smile up at him, and he stares straight back down at me.
“It is so beautiful here,” I whisper.
“Yes. It is a beautiful city. I can’t wait to show you around. I have planned a few things for us.” He smiles.
“You have been before?”
“Yes. A few times. It is one of my favourite places in the world.” He smiles.
“What other places have you seen that are your favourite?”
I am sure he has seen a lot of the world.
“Italy, Scotland, South Korea, South Africa and Greece, to name a few.” He chuckles.
“Seeing so much of the world must be incredible.”
“It is. And I can show you it, too.” He says brightly and kisses me softly.
“Have I told you recently you are amazing?” I ask.
“Once or twice.” He smiles.
I snuggle into him, and we enjoy the view for a little while.
“Shower, change and head out? I am hungry and in need of a coffee, too.”
Blake nods, and we head inside, making sure to close the door behind us. We quickly unpack our things to get it out of the way.
“Angel, remember to take your medication before we do anything else.” Blake reminded me.
I completely forgot. I took them before we left, but they are due again.
“Thank you for the reminder. I forgot.” I say softly.
“You do that, and I will set up the shower for us.”
I nod, kiss his cheek, and he disappears to the bathroom. I find my medication and take a bottle of water from the fridge. I swallow them and join Blake in the bathroom, who is already in the massive shower, waiting for me.
He doesn’t seem to hear me coming in. I stop for a moment and admire him in all his naked glory. I bite on my lip and moan softly. He must have felt me staring because his eyes meet mine. He smirks and motions me to him.
I giggle, stripping down and rush over to join him. The second I am close enough, he grabs me, pulls me against his naked body and kisses me. I whimper louder, slip my arms around him and kiss back. Blake groans, turning us around and pushes my back to the wall.
“Mmm, yes, this is a good way to start our vacation,” I mumble into his lips.
“Yes, a perfect way.” He mumbles back.
I couldn’t think of a better way for it to begin before we go out and enjoy the city of love.
