Never Just Friends

A Dangerous Alliance

Ch. 224 / 300 Mar 01, 2026

Hanna sat across from Emily at her kitchen table, the documents Elordi had provided spread out in front of them. Each paper, each photo, and each screenshot felt like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

Emily picked up a particularly damning message thread between Ciara and a teacher she had been blackmailing. Her eyes widened as she scanned the contents. “This is… insane,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “If this gets out, she’s done.”

“She’s been doing this for years,” Hanna said, her tone bitter. “And no one’s stopped her because they were either too scared or too caught up in her lies.”

Emily set the papers down and looked at Hanna, her expression serious. “If we use this, she’ll retaliate. Hard. You know that, right?”

Hanna nodded, the weight of Emily’s words pressing on her chest. “I know. But if we don’t, she’ll just keep going. She’ll keep destroying people, and it’ll never stop.”

Emily leaned back in her chair, running a hand through her hair. “So what’s the plan? We can’t just post all of this online and hope for the best. She’s too smart for that.”

“I was thinking the same thing,” Hanna admitted. “If we’re going to take her down, we have to be careful. Precise. We can’t give her any wiggle room to twist this back on us.”

Emily tapped her fingers against the table, her brows furrowed in thought. “We need a way to make sure this sticks. Something public, but controlled. Maybe we present it to someone in authority—a teacher, the principal, someone who can’t ignore it.”

Hanna frowned. “Do you really think they’ll do anything? Ciara’s been manipulating people for years. What if they just… sweep it under the rug?”

“Then we make sure they can’t,” Emily said firmly. “We have to put enough pressure on them that they have no choice but to act.”

Hanna stared at the documents, her stomach twisting. This was it. The turning point. She had spent so much time trying to play by the rules, but this was uncharted territory. Working with Elordi, using this kind of information—it felt dangerous. Reckless.

But as she thought about everything Ciara had done, not just to her but to so many others, she knew they couldn’t back down.

“Okay,” Hanna said, her voice steady. “We’ll do it. But we need to be smart about it. No mistakes.”

Emily nodded, determination flashing in her eyes. “We’re in this together, Hanna. No matter what happens.”

Hanna managed a small smile, though her heart was pounding. “Together,” she repeated.

As they began mapping out their plan, Hanna couldn’t shake the feeling that they were walking a tightrope. One wrong move, and everything could come crashing down.

But she also knew that for the first time, they had a real chance to end Ciara’s reign of terror. And she wasn’t going to waste it.
