Charlotte's nonchalant eyes are roaming on the designs that she is in charge of choosing. Her hard work and unique designs got James's extra attention to let her work as the director of the raw design department. " I should stop overthinking. No matter what she is past now. I don't want to talk about her in front of Edward. He loves that girl." She mutters shutting the files. To keep the tranquility, she inhales and then exhales. She needs to submit the final draft to James this afternoon. After that, she may get two days off and enjoy her time with Suzy.

" The final draft should be in Boss's office within ten minutes. Charlotte. The client wants the dress as soon as possible."
Charlotte smiles nodding her head since she has already chosen a few and she will recheck more of them..." I will be in Boss's room in five minutes. Ms Maria."
The atmosphere here is best for her. She doesn't need to overwork or be looked down. James and Maria are quite understanding and they got the same taste in design. So their harmony is best to be mentioned. Charlotte thanks Brian who caused her such pain and let her meet the freedom and peace she wanted.
She arranges and collects the designs in one file which she has chosen as final drafts and walks out. On the way to James's room, she stops pushing her hand in her pants pocket when her phone buzzes.
" Oh! Sister Shayne!" she smiles brightly seeing the message sender's name. Recently they have gotten too close to each other. The DNA report will be here soon, that's what Shayne said in the last meeting.
She thought to check the message later after she submitted the designs. As she plans, she walks in the James's room and knocks on the door.." Boss!"
James who is having a video conference, signals her to enter. Closing the door silently, she places the file on the table but she stops when she notices the person who is talking with James.
" Have you had your lunch yet?" Edward grins seeing her trying to Walk away as soon as possible. " I have booked a good place to have lunch. Meet me outside. I am waiting for you."
She forced a smile before giving her attention to Edward. Her face twitches as she notices him winking at her. To be honest, he has been so sweet but clingy to her recently.
" I have work. Mr Rodriguez. You should stop wasting time out there and go to work."
" You just submitted the final drafts. I saw them. So let's go to have lunch, Wifey!"
" You.." She blushes but humps, " Go to your company! Don't you have work?"
" I am the CEO. Have you forgotten? Let's go.. Don't waste my time.." Edward said softly, getting close to the camera. Charlotte sighs slowly.
" Just go. You two are making me feel single right now.." James shushes Charlotte and signals her to leave. After giving a death glare at Edward who is chilling, she walks out.
After ten minutes.
" Mr Rodriguez.. How long.."
" How long are you going to call me Mr Rodriguez? I apologize for my mistake.."
His words almost made her taken aback for a few seconds. The voice intones the sadness and disappointment. It's true. He has been trying his best to make her open up but she somehow avoided his affection.
" What should we eat today?" Charlotte makes herself busy with searching for the food. She doesn't know how to answer the question.
But not knowing her ignoring him makes her up.
" Mrs Rodriguez!" Edward calls her in a low yet cold tone. Her body flinches and she immediately turns to him like an obedient girl.
To add the shiver in her body, Edward pulls her, cupping her face, and smashes his lips against hers.
Charlotte gasped loudly in shock but she wasn't able to react as Edward's aggressive kiss took the dominant. Edward pulled her close, letting her support on his lap since she couldn't able to fasten the belt.
All she could do was let him kiss her while sitting on his lap. Thankfully the place is not public and the tinted windows of the car can block anyone who wants to peek inside the car..
" Next time. Don't even dare to ignore me, Mrs Rodriguez.. This is a warning.." He whispers on her lips, letting her heavy breath collide with his. His eyes are sharp and his voice is cold. He is serious about this warning.
She presses her lips to get her breath steady. However, Edward's hand slides inside her suit, firmly squeezing her Belly..." Wh. What are you doing?"
She flushes, panicking, seeing his sudden action.
" I want a word to confirm the affirmation. Say yes.." He once again squeezes her belly while roaming his hand inside. Charlotte bites her bottom lip and nods hurriedly.." I won't. I promise.."
A satisfying yet proud smile shines on his face. " That's my girl." He brushes his nose top on hers, before pecking her lips softly.
" Where is Driver?" She asks trying to change the awkward situation. However, She stops adding more sentences and looks down when she realizes she is sitting on his lap..." I am trash!" She whispered but it was loud enough to be heard.
" Pfft. Why?"
" Uh!! Did I speak loudly?" she covers her mouth in surprise. " You did.." He tucks her hair behind her ear before nodding.
" I... I will drive. I don't care about your driver. Which restaurant?" Being shy, she hurriedly speaks. She flustered seeing him being more touchy.
