Edward turned towards Charlotte who is scrolling down her phone and watching something admirably. His long and strong hand slide down her waist and pulls her to collide. Sniffing the smell of her neck, he talks in low tone..
" What are you watching?"
Her finger immediately presses the cancel button before smiling at him with a shaking head.." Nothing. Didn't you fall asleep?"
She replies facing him. Edward's eyebrows raise seeing her hiding the phone..It is indeed a video with a soft music. Why must she need to hide it? He wondered..
" I can't sleep having someone beautiful as you next to me.." A gentle kiss falls on her tip of nose from him. Charlotte smiles with a shy glance..
" I sometimes feel jealous that your ex-girlfriend have met you first. That's heartbreaking.." She said playing with his hair on chest.. Edward chuckles softly stroking her soft back skin.
" I just loved. But it becomes a past. I want to move on and you are the one who has become the only one who I can move on with.. I do really want to spend my life with you.."
It was a bold confession on her face which makes her heart pounding and skipping the beat at the moment. She time to time gets amazed by his straightforwardness where he doesn't stop talking out his mind. The earlobes of her reddened as the crimson red has spread all over her face. She bites her bottom lip before hiding her face on his chest..
" Me too. I want to get older, become a grandma of our kid's kids and die together. I want to go to heaven with you and stay there for eternity.."
Edward smiles with a small peck on her hair. His heart feels fulfilled.. The emptiness has removed out of blue. As like the emptiness has its own feelings. Whenever it gets the touch from the girl who is hugging him tightly, the emptiness becomes silent and happy. She becomes his other half which his heart needs more than anything..
Edward hugs her bare body, covering her with the blanket. Sometimes his heart wishes to have a speedy recovery in order to walk side by side holding her hand.. Recently, he has a dream of going on a date, enjoy the night under open sky, dancing with her, watching the wild ocean and stepping on its soft, cold sand with her.
He wants to live like a normal person who will give his wife a world of love and respect. He wants to run towards her whenever he misses her and hugs her with no more effort.
Anyway, When he covers her with Blanket and gently strokes her hair to fall asleep. His eyes go on the phone she just hid. He didn't have any doubt or something since he knows it's a video. He grabs the phone to put it on nightstand but he stops when he watches the video..
His eyebrows collide with a frown.. Placing the phone on the nightstand, he smiles, giving another kiss on her head..
" Aren't you sleepy?" She yawns resting her head on his chest.. Edward shakes head negatively, cupping her face..
" Shall we take bath together?" he offered, grinning. Her eyes open following her husband who is staring at her. She swallows raising her eyebrows..
" I don't think I can do something -"
" Don't think something naughty. Just wanna take a bath with me?" He asks respecting her situation. " I swear it will be great. "
She can't reject such a sincere request from the person she loves. She nods, slowing getting up. Enjoying a warm bath with him can boost their moods as well..
Charlotte thought they will take bath in bathroom but Edward holds her wrist and pull closer.." Follow me. I will take you somewhere beautiful."
Now her eyebrows knitted with confusion. It is already past midnight.. Where he will take her.. She wonders but she decides to follow him..
Edward wheels himself towards the door and holds her hand.." Let's go.. Let's have a great night together.."
Flabbergasted, Charlotte gasps when she just entered the elevator right behind the staircase and she ended up going rooftop..
" I didn't know we have elevator here. " She said excitedly..
" It's for emergency. When I need to come here.. I use that.."
" But where are we here?" She asked looking around. The night is really beautiful and the sky looks really romantic. But she prefers hugging him and sleep to watch the sky right now.. Edward just recovered from fever. She doesn't want him catch cold again..
However, her eyes widened with panic when she hears something jumping in water. She turns to check Edward but her heart shrunk with horror when she notices Edward's wheelchair is beside the pool but he isn't there..
" Ed.. Edward?" Her quivering lips call his name with unsteady steps. Not talking long time, she rushed and notices Edward under the water..
" God ! No please. !" She jumps following Edward under water. When she swims and reaches him to grab his hand to pull him up.. He opens his eyes and smiles..
Charlotte raises brows with questions, although she looks relieved seeing him smile..
But When Edward points fingers towards himself, Charlotte realized something familiar..
The video that she watched earlier was a romantic couple who were kissing under water.. She guesses it's just a coincidence until Edward kisses her under water and slowly swim to the surface of the water..
" Gasp! What. What did you do just do?" Breaking the kiss, she yelled, her pale expression shows her scared she was..
" Swimming with you. I can stand under water. I wanted to swim-" His words cut off when his eyes go on Charlotte's big tears which are mixing in the water. She couldn't stop hitting his chest and sobbing loudly..
" Did you know how much I was scared? I don't need such a romantic surprised.. I am fine with normal life.. Please. I beg you.. Don't do it again.." She sobs louder hugging him. She wants a life with him not something overwhelmed yet dangerous.
" I am sorry.. I truly is. I thought you would like it..So, I.."
" Don't want. Don't want it. You don't have to do anything like this anymore. Just stay safe and stay in front of my eyes. Don't go.. Don't leave my sight. Don't do anything dangerous to surprise me.." Begging she hugs him desperately. Her heart is still beating crazily.. The feelings when he disappeared from her sight was more painful that she felt she would die if something happens to him..
" Sorry.. I promise I won't do it again. I'm sorry. Don't cry. I'm sorry.." He pats her head, comforting her. She is worried, scared of losing him, those matter has messed up his heart. She loves him and cares about him, it gives him a strength of making her fearless and free from the tension..
He will surely swim with her freely without making her worries.
" If you have calmed down, Can we stay here for longer?"
" You can If you promise me that you won't do it again!" she pouts wiping her face..
" I swear I won't."
" OK."
She smiles brightly, watching him standing under water. He is really tall and handsome. She blushes.
" I I wish I could walk side by side with him one day." She whispered watching his legs under water. To her, she still can't stop thinking that Edward doesn't want to stand because of his ex-girlfriend. It constantly reminds her how he still keeps the love for his ex-girlfriend but since he confessed, she wants to love him the way he is..
However, She didn't realize, a soft smile appears on his face when he hears her whispering about walking side by side.. He wraps his arms around her waist and kisses on her collarbone..
" I love you.." He whispers underneath her lips..
