Louisa's POV
"Miss Louisa, may I ask why there're two men on Alpha Lucas' bed?"
Lucian's voice woke me up.
I rubbed my eyes and saw Lucian standing in front of me, looking confused.
I turned back and saw that Colt was still soundly sleeping with Darren.
I sneaked down the bed, checked on Darren's wound, and stretched out like a cat.
"I feel refreshed and taller." I tiptoed to look up at Lucian and said.
I tried to use my nose to touch his lips but failed.
Lucian held my shoulders to stop me. He looked down at me with a serious look on his face and said, "Alpha Lucas wants me to take you out for a shopping spree. And Alpha Zackery has sent you this."
He took out a red velvet box and handed it to me.
I took the box and opened the lid. It was the emerald jewelry set that I accidentally purchased at yesterday's auction.
There was a note inside. I unfolded it and saw Alpha Zackery's beautiful handwriting -
"To undying love. - Z.H."

I guessed it must be thousands of girls' dreams to wake up and receive a set of expensive jewelry from royalty before being taken on a shopping spree by a dark, handsome man.
After the transformation, Lucian's look became irresistible to me.
Whenever I saw him, I just couldn't help wanting to get closer to him, which I couldn't control at all.
I closed the lid and placed it on the table.
"Let's go," I said to Lucian.
"Do you want to take your little dandy boyfriend with you to give you some fashion advice?" Lucian pointed at the bed.
I turned back and saw Colt bouncing off the bed.
He ran to me and begged, "I like shopping! I'm very good at spending money! I can run into a shop with 20 grand in my hands and come out 10 minutes later with lots of stuff and a 200 grand debt. Is it a superpower or is it a curse? I don't know! Anyway, what I'm saying is, please take me with you!"
"But who's going to take care of Darren?" I frowned and said.
Then, I heard Darren's voice, "Please do me a favor and take him away. Don't leave me alone with him. I'm scared, Louisa."
I walked towards Darren and held his hands.
"I can't leave you alone here all by yourself." I frowned.
"I'll send in some maids to attend to him. He'll be fine." Lucian said.
"Take some sleep, and Jafar, the doctor who operated on you, will come back and check on you. Maybe I'll get back before he comes, so we can help you to change the bandages together."
"Don't worry about me, Louisa." Darren looked nervously at Lucian and said, "Please go ahead. Don't keep Beta waiting."
I nodded, quickly got changed, and walked out of the tent with Lucian.
Some maids walked into the tent with clean towels and linens to change the room.
After we got into the carriage, Colt insisted on sitting shotgun next to the carter because "he looks so darn hot".
So, I had to sit with Lucian inside the carriage.
As the carriage moved forward, I looked up at Lucian and asked, "Why is Darren so afraid of you?"
"Maybe because I'm a very intimidating person," Lucian replied without looking at me. He was leaning against the back of the seat, staring out of the window.
I knew he wasn't enjoying the view.
He was just trying to avoid eye contact with me.
His endless long legs were slightly crossed and stretched out.
A lucky girl called Gianna must have sat on those long legs while being pulled against him.
Over and over again.
I shook my head, trying to get this steamy scene out of my mind.
"You don't look intimidating to me," I grunted.
Not at all, mister. Not with your muscular chest and broad shoulders.
"Maybe I look intimidating to most people," Lucian said.
"What have you done to Darren?" I frowned. "Did you use to hurt him?"
One thing I knew about Lucas was that he enjoyed people watching him while he was having sex with others. He did ask Lucian to participate when he first had sex with me.
And Lucian didn't say no.
Lucas stopped him eventually, but maybe that was why I felt so drawn to him.
At the same time, I couldn't imagine what kind of horrible things they had done to Darren.
"I was the one who took him away from the brothel. He didn't want to leave that place at that time," he said.
"Why Darren didn't want to leave that place?" I asked.
"Because his uncle was being tortured by Lucas. He wanted to go back and save him," Lucian replied.
"His uncle..." I frowned, "You mean the one who owned the brothel and forced him to get into the trade?"
"Yes," Lucian answered.
"But why would he want to go back and save him?" I asked.
"Why would you want to save your father?" Lucian turned his head and looked at me.
"Because he's my only surviving family," I lowered my head and whispered.
It was too easy to get lost in his gaze.
Lucian said, "After the death of his brother, his deadbeat uncle was the only family he had. That's why he refused to go away with me. So I guess you can say that I took him away against his will."
"I couldn't imagine you doing anything against anyone's will," I murmured to myself.
I really shouldn't speak out that loud.
There were only two of us in this carriage.
I must have been blushing.
"Really?" Lucian suddenly drew himself closer to me and pinned me against my seat.
His marvelous ocean-blue eyes were right in front of mine.
"What if I'm doing something against your will right now?" Lucian said. "It's a soundproof carriage and we have plenty of time on our way to the town."
My heart was pounding so fast that I was almost about to throw up again.
I knew maybe he was just trying to goof around with me to make a point, but for a brief moment, I really wasn't sure what he was about to do.
If he really did what I had longed for, it would be so right and wrong at the same time.
"Louisa," Lucian finally broke the silence and let go of me. "If you want to stay with Luke, you need to remember what I used to tell you. Do not try to seduce me, because I can't control myself every time it happens. Lucas didn't mind me having sex with you, but he did mind me having sex with you behind his back. It's too dangerous."
