I Still Miss You

Ch. 145 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

She saw it was an unknown number, hesitated for a moment, then answered and put it to her ear.

"Hello..."

A voice filled with agony came from the other end of the phone: "It's me..."

This voice, even if turned to ashes, Suzy wouldn't forget.

Her hand trembled, and the phone almost slipped from her grasp.

Rex thought she didn't recognize him, so he explained, "It's Rex James..."

Suzy forced herself to calm down and asked, "Why are you calling me?"

In truth, what she wanted to ask was, why aren't you dead yet?

Why haven't you died yet?

But she knew that if she said those words, it would give herself away; Rex would surely know she had sent someone to kill him.

She couldn't afford to alert him now.

She needed to know where Rex was hiding before she could seize another opportunity.

Rex, unaware of her suspicions, endured the pain in his abdomen and said with difficulty, "I'm being chased by someone, hiding in a small inn. Can you get me some medicine and food?"

Suzy narrowed her eyes dangerously, gritted her teeth, and squeezed out a sentence through clenched jaws, "Fine, where are you now? I'll come find you."

Rex hadn't expected her to be so accommodating. His face filled with satisfaction, and he couldn't help but tease in a smooth tone.

"So eager to see me? Do you still like me? Well, it's understandable. no matter what, we've been together before, and I'm so impressive. Naturally, you can't forget me."

Hearing this, Suzy felt nauseated. Especially those perverse tastes of Rex's in bed. She used to find it exciting, fresh, and fun. Now she just found it disgusting.

She had been blind to get involved with such a scoundrel before.

"Don't waste time with nonsense, just tell me quickly, where are you now? I'll bring you the medicine!"

Rex immediately gave her the address and name of the inn.

After hanging up the phone, Suzy looked at the fruit knife on the coffee table, a cold gleam passing through her eyes.

She walked over calmly, hiding the knife in her backpack.

And all of this was witnessed by Sarah, who had just returned home.

Sarah was instantly shocked and rushed over, grabbing her hand and asking, "Suzy, what are you doing?"

Suzy replied angrily, "That Rex is unbelievably lucky; he's been stabbed and thrown into the river, and he's still not dead! I have to take care of him myself. I refuse to believe he can survive."

Sarah was taken aback. "You've already had someone do it?"

Suzy pursed her lips tightly, not answering. Her reaction undoubtedly confirmed it.

Sarah asked anxiously, "What about Elliot? How is he?"

Although Elliot was Rex's child, he was still her grandson, after all.

How could she bear to see her grandson in trouble?

Suzy replied indifferently, "I only had someone kill Rex, I have no idea where that illegitimate child is. He's grown up, capable of taking care of himself; he won't starve to death. Worst-case scenario, he'll be sent to an orphanage."

Sarah was hurt by her ruthless words. "He's your own son! How can you say such heartless things?"

Suzy remained cold-faced. "My own sons are Noah and Alexander. He's not my son."

Sarah was rendered speechless by her rebuttal. She could only swallow her anger and advise, "I know you want Rex dead, but don't be too hasty; it'll backfire! Don't act today; later, I'll send someone to take care of him."

Suzy nodded perfunctorily. She agreed outwardly, but she didn't really listen.

She and Sarah went to the hospital together, pretended to buy some medicine, then went to buy some food for Rex and delivered it to him according to the address.

For safety reasons, Sarah didn't go up with Suzy but waited in the car.

Suzy knocked on Rex's door, holding the medicine and food.

The door opened a crack, and Rex peeked out. Seeing it was Suzy, he confidently opened the door wider to let her in.

"You finally came. Hurry up and give me the medicine."

Suzy handed him the medicine.

Rex skillfully found the painkillers inside, swallowed one first, then took out the ointment and carefully applied it to his wound.

The painkillers hadn't taken effect yet.

As soon as the ointment touched his wound, he sucked in a breath of cold air from the pain.

Suzy stood quietly aside, expressionless, her eyes flashing with hostility.

Rex remained oblivious. After treating his wound, the painkillers began to take effect. He instantly felt much better. The wound instantly stopped hurting.

Looking at the delicate Suzy, Rex felt a surge of desire, grabbing her wrist and pulling her into his arms forcefully.

Suzy lost her balance and fell into his embrace.

Rex's hands wandered restlessly over her body.

"We've been apart for four years, and I still miss you. Since you're here, why don't we indulge ourselves..."

Suzy looked like a noble young lady. But in bed, she was more seductive than many professional women.

That feeling, he really missed it.

Suzy felt like every place he touched was as disgusting as being licked by a snake, nauseating, uncomfortable, and sickening. She reflexively tried to push herself away.

But Rex pulled her back, flipped her over, and pressed her onto the bed.

The backpack dropped to the floor with a thud.

"I'll tell you, don't provoke me. If you annoy me, I'll take Elliot to find Ethan. Let's see if he still wants you..."

Suzy glanced at the backpack on the floor. Afraid that he would carry out his threat, she dared not resist anymore, lying on the bed like a dead fish, allowing Rex to do as he pleased.

After the intimate moment.

Rex lay on the bed, looking satisfied. Suzy was indeed heartless, but she tasted good.

He patted Suzy's cheek wickedly. "See, weren't you satisfied just now? Although we've broken up, the old affection still remains. We can still be intimate whenever we want."

Ice covered Suzy's eyes. Thinking of Rex's actions just now, she wished she could tear him apart.

Every inch of her skin that he touched felt incredibly dirty.

She looked at Rex's bleeding wound, expressionless. "Your wound has reopened."

Rex looked down.

Sure enough.

The wound that had just been bandaged reopened and was bleeding again.

He had been too immersed, completely forgetting about the injury on his abdomen.

Suzy gently pushed him. "You should take care of it quickly, lest it becomes more serious."

Rex immediately self-congratulated, "What's this? Are you concerned about me? Worried that I'll get into trouble and no one will satisfy you?"

Suzy felt nauseated, urging him, "Hurry up..."

Rex smirked, rolled off the bed, and sat at the foot of the bed to re-treat the wound.

Suzy looked at the backpack on the floor, slowly reached out, picked up the fruit knife, and raised it high towards Rex's back...
