CEO's Genius Triplets

Passenger Seat

Ch. 138 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

Albert leaned lazily against the back of the chair, his slender fingers playing with the ring on his thumb, and he said with a smirk, "Miss Miller seems to have already figured out who framed us. Who is she?"

This was the information he obtained from her tone during their conversation last night.

Samantha quietly looked at the unfamiliar man in front of her.

She didn't know him.

So she wouldn't trust him either.

She replied, "I don't know! If I knew, I would have reported it to the police."

Albert didn't expose her either. He took out a photo and placed it on the table. "Take a look, is this the man who led you to the back garden terrace that night?"

Samantha took the photo, recognized the man in the photo at a glance, and nodded quickly, excitedly saying, "Yes, it's him. He told me that Ethan invited me to the terrace to discuss matters. I thought he was a servant of the Steele family, so I didn't suspect him and went!"

Albert took back the photo, put it in his shirt pocket, changed the subject, and suddenly asked, "Does Miss Miller like steak?"

"???"

Samantha looked at him inexplicably.

At this moment, the door of the private room was opened, and the waiter walked in with a tray.

Albert smiled and said, "I ordered a black pepper steak and spaghetti for you!"

"I..." Samantha just started to speak, but was interrupted by Albert, "After lunch, I'll take you to see this person!"

Samantha stared at him in surprise, "You found him?!"

Albert nodded, did not speak to her again, picked up his knife and fork, and ate slowly. His movements were elegant, obviously well-educated.

Samantha said to the waiter, "Bring me a durian pizza, with some beef cubes on top..."

Albert's cutting motion paused, and he looked at her with slight surprise, saying meaningfully, "Beef cubes on durian pizza, salty and sweet, your taste is quite unique!"

Samantha shrugged indifferently, "Everyone has their own taste! There are many people like me."

Albert's eyes deepened, his question carrying a hidden meaning, "Does Miss Miller have a nickname?"

Without hesitation, Samantha denied, "No, I don't have a nickname!"

At her words, a hint of disappointment flashed clearly in Albert's eyes. He then lowered his head and resumed eating slowly.

The two fell silent.

The atmosphere in the private room became eerie.

Even the air seemed to have frozen.

A powerful pressure emanated from across the table, making Samantha lose her appetite.

This situation lasted for half an hour.

Albert finally finished eating.

He leisurely put down his knife and fork, dabbing his mouth with a handkerchief.

Samantha stared at him, biting her fork.

She noticed that Albert was a very refined person.

He cared about his life, had his own habits.

Albert put down the handkerchief, lifted his head, and saw Samantha staring at him with wide eyes, her round eyes looking adorable.

Her face overlapped unexpectedly with the one in his memory.

His heart skipped a beat.

His breath caught.

It seemed.

It really seemed like it.

Not only their taste, even their small actions, and expressions were exactly the same.

Could she be the person he had been searching for all this time?

As this thought surfaced in his mind, he immediately pushed it away.

Samantha was the young lady of the Miller family, raised in the Miller family since childhood.

Many aspects of her didn't match the person in his memory.

So Samantha definitely wasn't the person he was looking for.

Seeing him lost in thought, Samantha couldn't help but wave her hand in front of him, "Hey, Mr. Davis..."

Albert snapped out of his reverie, stood up abruptly, and strode towards the door.

"Let's go, I'll take you to see him."

Samantha immediately followed suit.

For convenience, Samantha didn't drive but instead got into Albert's car.

As Samantha was about to open the car door to get in, she heard Albert say, "Miss Miller, please sit in the back. My front passenger seat is reserved for only one woman."

Samantha didn't mind. She opened the car door and got in, jokingly saying, "Mr. Davis and Miss Steele are really affectionate. You’re leaving the front passenger seat only for her."

Albert smirked, softly saying, "It's not her."

The smile on Samantha's lips froze instantly. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond.

The front passenger seat is reserved for only one woman. But that woman isn't even his fiancée.

Then who could it be?

Albert's mother?

But she heard Albert is an illegitimate child of the Davis family and only returned to the family a few years ago.

Before returning to the Davis family, he grew up in an orphanage and didn't have a mother.

So it definitely couldn't be his mother reserving the front seat.

Then who could it be?

Does Ellena know?

For a moment, Samantha's thoughts raced.

Albert glanced at her through the rearview mirror without a trace, his thin lips pursed slightly, his deep eyes flashing an inscrutable coldness.

An hour and a half later.

Albert drove Samantha to a secluded villa.

Before they could enter, a burly bodyguard in casual black attire hurried over, panting, "Sir, that guy is too cunning. We accidentally let him escape."

Albert's handsome brows furrowed slightly, and his lips instinctively tightened.

"Escaped?"

The bodyguard was drenched in sweat, his head lowered, not daring to breathe loudly.

His reaction undoubtedly gave Albert the answer.

An icy expression rapidly spread across Albert's face, and he suddenly raised his foot, kicking fiercely at the bodyguard's abdomen, his eyes gleaming with bone-chilling killing intent.

"Idiot! You can't even keep an eye on one person."

The bodyguard grimaced in pain, gritting his teeth and enduring without making a sound.

Samantha was frightened by Albert's brutality. Her feet involuntarily took a step back.

The Albert just now was terrifying.

Like a demon.

She even saw a shadow of Ethan in him.

She felt that he and Ethan were of the same kind, both the kind of people she should avoid.

Albert squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth, "Hurry up and go find him."

The bodyguard didn't dare to delay, immediately rushing to the other bodyguards and hastily leaving.

Albert habitually smoothed out the wrinkles on his clothes, turned around, but found Samantha getting farther and farther away from him, her face full of vigilance as she looked at him.

He smiled wryly, helpless, "I'm not going to eat you. Why are you keeping your distance?"

Samantha: “...”

Albert chuckled, "You can rest assured, I disdain laying hands on women."

With his assurance, Samantha slowly approached Albert, "Since the person has escaped, I'll go back first! We'll talk when they catch him!"

Albert shrugged, only able to temporarily send Samantha back.

Just as they reached the car, dozens of black SUVs roared menacingly towards them, surrounding them in a tight circle.

The doors opened, a group of black-clad bodyguards stood with their hands behind their backs, encasing Albert and Samantha in an impenetrable fortress.

Then, Ethan stepped out of the leading SUV.
