CEO's Genius Triplets

Heartless

Ch. 158 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

Justin placed the last two pieces of luggage into the car and prepared to go upstairs to pick up Samantha and Grandpa Miller.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he entered the elevator, he encountered Karen.

Karen lay on the hospital bed, her face devoid of color, looking extremely haggard, her eyes devoid of any light.

He just glanced at her lightly, then quickly shifted his gaze away.

In the instant Karen saw Justin, she seemed to see a ray of light, eagerly grabbing his sleeve and choking, "Justin, you're back?"

Justin disdainfully pulled away his sleeve, not responding.

Karen's heart shattered, choking, "Justin, are you blaming me for not protecting our child? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I..."

Justin frowned impatiently, moving slightly away from her, trying to create as much distance as possible.

Karen's tears fell even more heavily.

"Justin..."

Seeing this, the nurse couldn't bear it anymore and advised, "Are you her husband? The child is gone, there's nothing that can be done to change that. She's very weak now and needs her husband's care. You're still young, there will be plenty of chances to have children in the future."

Justin didn't even turn his head, his expressionless face said, "I don't know her."

With one sentence, he denied all relationship with Karen.

Karen suddenly became excited, "Justin, how can you say you don't know me! You said that once it's confirmed that the child in my stomach is yours, you'll marry me! You liked this child, otherwise why would you instruct the maid to give me milk..."

Before she could finish her sentence, she remembered something and stopped abruptly, her eyes widening little by little.

"Milk? Blood-activating and stasis-removing drugs?"

She seemed to have discovered something incredible, looking at Justin incredulously, asking one word at a time, "Was the medicine put in the milk by you? The doctor said I was taking blood-activating and stasis-removing drugs, but I haven't taken any medicine during this time. Actually, was the medicine put in the milk by you?"

She realized, why did Justin suddenly treat her so well?

And why was he sometimes cold and sometimes warm?

It turns out, it was all to deceive her into drinking milk.

When she let down her guard, he got rid of her child.

All of this was his scheme.

He deliberately wanted to get rid of her child.

Justin didn't answer her words.

However, his attitude confirmed Karen's suspicions.

Ignoring her weak body, she climbed up from the bed, grabbing Justin's arm tightly, hoarse with emotion, "Why? Why did you do this? This is your flesh and blood, how could you be so cruel?"

This time, Justin finally looked at her.

Justin's eyes were cold as he stared into her eyes and said in an icy tone, "This child should never have existed from the beginning."

His words were an undeniable admission.

Karen was completely devastated.

She shook his arm desperately, “Why? Why would you be so cruel to me? You would rather raise that illegitimate child, Charlotte, than your own child? What's wrong with me compared to Samantha? Why would you choose her, a woman who has already given birth to a child, over me? I only have you as a man, you are my only man! I've loved you for over a decade, how could you do this to me, how could you--”

Justin used one finger to pry open her grip, then disdainfully patted the spot where she had touched him, saying indifferently, "It was all wishful thinking on your part from the beginning, I don't care for it."

Wishful thinking?

I don't care for it?

Few simple words, yet they felt like sharp blades.

They tore at Karen's heart one by one.

She felt as if all the strength had been drained from her body, and she collapsed onto the hospital bed.

At that moment, the elevator doors opened.

Justin walked to the doorway, his back facing Karen, and warned in a stern voice, "Remember, we have no relationship whatsoever, don't bother me again."

With that, he left without looking back.

As the elevator doors closed slowly, in the last moment, a heart-wrenching cry could be heard from inside.

Justin remained indifferent, calmly walking to the ward. As soon as he saw Samantha and Grandpa Miller, he immediately returned to his usual gentle demeanor.

"Everything's packed! We can go home now. I'll push the wheelchair, just follow behind."

With that, he took over pushing the wheelchair.

His thoughtfulness made Grandpa Miller very pleased, happy that Samantha had found such a considerate and gentle husband.

...

Back at home.

Justin personally helped Grandpa Miller take a warm and fragrant bath.

Then he changed him into the new clothes Samantha had bought.

The whole person suddenly felt refreshed, as if they had become several years younger in an instant.

Samantha also personally cooked, preparing a table full of delicious dishes.

The three of them sat around the table.

The atmosphere was unprecedentedly warm and harmonious.

After lunch, Justin had something to attend to at the company and couldn't stay long, so he left first.

Samantha escorted him to the elevator.

Just as the elevator door on Justin's side closed, another elevator door opened.

Suzy stepped out from inside, wearing a high-spirited expression and sunglasses, strutting arrogantly like a proud peacock.

Samantha looked at her warily. "What are you doing here?"

Without waiting for her invitation, Suzy walked past her into the house.

Grandpa Miller, who was watching TV in the living room, saw her and his face darkened, displeased. "Why are you here? What do you want?"

Suzy had long been accustomed to the old man's favoritism. She nonchalantly smirked and took out a document from her bag, handing it to Samantha.

"This contract, you sign it!"

Samantha, bewildered, took the contract and, after reading its contents, coldly threw it back at her.

"Sorry, I'm busy. I don't have time to take on this project."

She actually wanted her to design wedding jewelry for her. Is she out of her mind?!

Suzy anticipated that she wouldn't easily agree, so she raised an eyebrow provocatively and teased, "What? Scared? Afraid that I won't be satisfied with your design?"

Samantha didn't back down either, playing along with her words. "Yes, I am afraid! So, please find someone else and don't bother me."

Suzy sneered, "You'll have to sign this contract whether you like it or not."

Samantha didn't flinch, raising her head and asking, "And if I refuse to sign, what can you do to me?"

Suzy calmly put away the contract, smiling mysteriously. "Samantha, don't be too complacent. Sooner or later, you'll come begging to me!"

With that said, she turned and left.

Rex's body had already been discovered.

Based on the timeline, they would soon investigate Samantha.

With solid evidence, Samantha couldn't escape this prison disaster.

She might even be sentenced to life imprisonment, spending her whole life behind bars.

By then, she would have no worries at all.

Her son, Ethan, would all be hers.

Let's see how long she can be arrogant for.
