Ariella
I leave Davonyé in bed to take a shower, and to get some peace of mind. I'm sick of eyeing that little black giftbag beside the bed, too. I've been staring at it all morning, wondering what's in there. I been fighting against my magic tryin’ not to find out.
Shit is hard.
I'm thinking maybe it's the ring he's been working so hard to get, but I try to push it out of my mind. I need to see when Aura can come and bind us, now that he’s asked me. I been waiting forever for him to, and I ain't ashamed to say I cried when he finally did. I didn't even want a ring. I just want him. We gonna have ink on our hands anyways.
I wonder what our symbols will be…
I get out the shower and grab a towel off the rack before going back into the bedroom, but I stop hard in my tracks as I look at Davonyé.
He's kneeling naked beside the bed with a blue box held open towards me. I see the ring, a tinted blue diamond in a platinum band, and my heart struggles to function.
“Ariella Sarenity James, you've changed my life. I don't know what I was doin’ before I found you, but ever since I did, I ain't ever felt more at peace in the world. I crave you in every way, and when I'm not with you I'm thinking about gettin’ back to you. You are my heart, and when I think of my life without you in it, I can't even tell you how that shit makes me feel.” He takes a steadying breath. “So, Bae, would you do the honour of becoming my wife?”
I feel him finally stop blocking me after all these months and my emotions can’t cope.
Davonyé…
Tears stream down my face as I run over to him. I get down on my knees and try desperately to compose myself.
“You… are my everything, Davonyé. You will never know the depth of my love for you, and nothing would make me happier than to be your wife.”
I pull him down to kiss him, pouring all my feelings into it, and showing him everything I feel for him that no words could ever come close to saying.
He lets me go and then makes quick work of slipping the ring on my finger. It's beautiful and it's like my parents’, so I never have to take it off.
“It's stunning, Baby. I love it.”
He wipes the tears from my cheeks. “I was prayin’ you would. So when we gonna get binded?”
“I'll ask Aura when she's free.”
“Alright. I just want my Mom here. No one else matters.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive. I ain’t tryna entertain a bunch of people and have to wait hours to make love to my wife either.”
I smile up at him. “Good thinking.”

Three days later…
Davonyé insisted on making his own suit and only gave me a sample of the blue fabric he used for the shirt. He’s basically used my favourite baby blue colour, so I’ve matched my dress to it. I stare in the mirror at myself while mom tinkers with my train. We’re in the sunroom and there are mirrors on all the walls.
My dress has a halter-neck and is backless to my lower back. It fits tightly against my hips and then flares out into a long-trained skirt.
I’ve left my hair down cuz I know Davonyé likes it like this the most, and the white curls almost blend into my veil. I’m so excited my magic is going crazy inside me. I’m gonna be Ariella Leblanc.
Davonyé’s wife.
My heart feels like it’s gonna explode at that.
Mom appears in front of me. She’s wearing a yellow maxi dress and has Amarey tucked up asleep in her arm. “Ready?”
“I’ve been ready.”
She smiles. “I’m so happy for you, Sweetheart. So is Dad.”
“Thank you, Mom.”
I see her getting emotional and manage to awkwardly hug her without squashing Amarey. I pull away and kiss his forehead. ‘We’re gonna get into so much trouble,’ I tell him. I’ve seen him clearer than I ever have today, and although he ain’t gonna change for twenty years yet, I still ain’t ready for it.
We go out to the back yard and I see Davonyé standing with Dad in the middle of the garden. He looks incredible in that black suit with the blue shirt that matches my dress.
My heart flutters madly as he turns to face me. He gives me a knowing look, but I also feel all his other emotions, too.
But mostly love.
‘Bae… Look at you.’
I hug Lottie before making my way to him, feeling seriously overwhelmed. The sun is out and I feel its warmth against my bare back. Dad gives me a hug and a kiss, and I hug him back tightly.
‘Thank you, Dad. For everything.’
‘Always, Princess.’
He lets me go and then slaps Davonyé’s back. Davonyé rolls his eyes and Dad laughs. “Just reminding you who the father-in-law is,” he says, walking over to Mom.
“I ain’t forgotten,” he replies, but soon turns his attention back to me. “You look incredible, Ari.” ‘How long is this gonna take, cuz I know you look even better with nothin’ on...’
“Not long,” Aura says, appearing beside us. “Hello, Ariella, Davonyé.”
“Aura,” we both reply, turning to face her.
“How are you both feeling?”
“Excited,” we both reply again, and then we laugh.
She smiles. “So I see. Are you ready?”
“Yes,” Davonyé replies before me.
“Very well. Raise your left hands, palm-side up, and then rest them over one another’s.”
I place my hand over Davonyé’s as we look at each other. We’re both smiling but I think the seriousness of the situation soon kicks in and our expressions both become intense.
“Ariella Sarenity James,” Aura begins, and my magic begins to swarm. “Do you, under no duress, agree to be binded to Davonyé Patrick Leblanc?”
“I do.”
Davonyé’s eyes light up and I smile up at him.
“Davonyé Patrick Leblanc, do you, under no duress, agree to be binded to Ariella Sarenity James?”
“I do.”
My heart literally stops when he says those two words.
We’ve come so far…
Aura looks over to our parents. “You have all heard with your very own ears, that Ariella and Davonyé have agreed to their binding. They have agreed willingly, without duress, and I will now bind them.”
I take a deep breath and see Davonyé do the same.
“Join your right hands in the same way,” Aura says, so we do.
I see Aura hold her hands out to us and my magic goes crazy. I see the blue light around her hands first, but then other things around us also start to glow blue.
Like my hands…
“I will begin,” Aura says.
“Ariella Sarenity James u ta Davonyé Patrick Leblanc, as un entira...” Aura chants, and then the blue light becomes almost blinding.
I feel my magic connect with Davonyé in some way and then our palms heat, but it doesn’t hurt. I can feel the ink begin to appear under my skin and it tingles.
“Bindera as onsa...”
The ink darkens to an almost bluish grey colour, and I start making out the symbols. We both have each other’s initials on our ring fingers, but then the rest of the symbols are for wolves, man, protector, longevity, and finally, union.
I’m pretty sure I know why that last one is there.
The light around us suddenly turns white before disappearing.
“It is complete,” Aura says. “Congratulations, Ariella Sarenity Leblanc and Davonyé Patrick Leblanc.” She looks at Davonyé. ‘Now you cannot die.’
He blinks before looking at me, but I turn to Aura. ‘Why didn’t you tell us that before?’
She smiles. ‘Because w—’
‘Where is the fun in that, right?’
‘Yes, but also because you needed to come to that decision on your own.’
Our parents come over, thanking Aura before hugging us.
‘I will see you soon, Ariella. Ensure Davonyé practices.’
‘Thank you, and I will.’
She disappears, and then Lottie hands a ring box each to Davonyé and me. I open it and see his extendable, platinum wedding band inside, and he has mine. I hold his hand and push the ring on his finger, and then he puts my band on mine.
I look down at my rings. They look absolutely stunning against my binding ink.
I swear, I am the happiest girl in the world and kratius.
Davonyé pulls me into his arms and smiles down at me. I know he’s feeling epic right now; he’s been waitin’ to see these rings on my finger.
‘Damn right.’ “Misses Leblanc.” He kisses me, but I have to pull away from him before it gets too much for our parents to cope with.
Ugh… hearing him say that is both amazing and a turn on.
“Come with me. I have something for you.”
He frowns but I don’t give him time to think. I hold his hand and port him to the front of the house. I wave my hand and a blacked-out Bugatti with Leblanc on the license plate is parked in front of us.
“Happy binding. And I missed your birthday, oh, and congratulations on L J & Co.” I hold his elbow and then rest the keys in his hand that’s inked up with evidence of our binding.
He takes the keys and turns to face me. I can already tell that he ain’t completely happy about this.
I hold his hand closed over the keys and then look up at him. “Please don’t fight me on this. You’ve had a crazy seven months, you deserve this. Besides, I don’t care what you say, I’m gonna give you anythin’ I fuckin’ feel like.”
His eyes darken. “Bae—”
“Don’t upset me on my wedding day,” I warn him playfully. “I’ll never let you forget it—and remember we’re gonna live forever.”
He narrows his eyes at me and growls before kissing me to breathlessness.
He releases me, and then holds out a plate of peanut butter waffles between us.
I smile cuz I’m in complete awe of him. “I just love you so much.”
He gives me the most heartfelt look. “And I love you, just the same.”
***
I lie on the beach on my island in the Bahamas; the one I got for my birthday and had forgotten about until dad reminded me about it. I suppose that’s how crazy my life’s been since that day, the fact I’d forgotten that a piece of this world is in my name.
I admire the clear blue sky above me and relax to the sound of the waves rushing in from the ocean. Davonyé’s fallen asleep inside the blue house I built behind me, and as sad as this might sound, I miss him like mad.
Davonyé’s got good use of magic now, and that shit’s even more exciting than having my own. He’s been stripping me, conjuring me food, dressing me, and then undressing me straight after.
What can I say? He likes me naked.
I’m naked now.
It looks like he’s got all the fun stuff, and everything to save him time which is good. I think he’ll be able to port within the world eventually, but that’s something we’re gonna have to work on. The strangest thing about the magic, though, is that I can feel when he uses it. Almost like my magic powers his.
It’s crazy.
He suddenly climbs on top of me and I feel his dick against me straight away. Neither of us have worn clothes since we got here two days ago.
His dark eyes scan my face. “I heard my wife was missing her husband. I’ve come to save the day.”
I chuckle at that. “Ah, my husband, my hero.”
He shakes his head. “I ain’t ever gonna get sick of hearin’ that.”
He disappears between my thighs and I gasp. “I won’t ever get sick of this.”
He bares his canines on me. “Good. Cuz you gonna be gettin’ this for eternity.”
