Alpha King's Pregnant Ex-Luna

Chapter 629

Ch. 629 / 795 Feb 15, 2026

Spencer narrowed his gaze at Nelly, his suspicion apparent. "Is everyone in agreement? Who else shares this belief?" Nelly responded, trying to steer the conversation towards the truth. "That's not the point," she stated.

Spencer emphasized each word as he made his point clear. "That is indeed the point," he said.

Realizing what he was implying, Nelly quickly cut to the chase. "Thalia."

Spencer was at a loss for words, until he remembered the strange words Thalia had said to him. Suddenly, everything became clear. "I knew it," Spencer chuckled.

Confused, Nelly raised an eyebrow and asked, "Know what?" Spencer gave her a look but remained silent, his eyes reflecting his contemplation.

Growing impatient, Nelly narrowed her eyes and moved closer. "Could it be that nothing happened between you two?"

Meeting her gaze, Spencer asked, "What do you think?"

Annoyed, Nelly retorted, "How would I know?" mocking him with an arched brow.

Spencer gave her a disdainful look and chose not to explain further. He believed that a man's actions spoke for themselves, with no need for explanation.

Silent still, Nelly inched closer and pressed, "So... nothing happened?" Spencer observed her nosiness and retorted, "Nelly, is this all just a show to you?"

Without hesitation, Nelly replied, "Yes!" Treating the situation as entertaining.

Spencer narrowed his eyes again and remarked, "It's not important whether we have or haven't. However, you should mind your own desires and avoid indulging in them excessively!"

Taken aback, Nelly was speechless. But she wasn't ashamed, having known Spencer for a long time and seeing him more as a doctor than a romantic interest.

Surprised, she asked, "How did you know?"

"I can tell just by looking," he simply replied.

Skeptical, Nelly questioned, "So you have X-ray vision now?" doubting his abilities.

Spencer rolled his eyes and replied, "Just don't wear low-cut clothes next time."

Nelly immediately checked her reflection on her phone's camera, noticing marks on her neck. Embarrassed, she realized her mistake and turned off the camera. Looking at Spencer, she expressed her foolishness.

"What are you laughing at?" she asked.

"Laughing in front of a doctor? Really?" Spencer quipped.

Realizing her own silliness, Nelly began to doubt herself, attributing her foolishness to love.

Without saying anything more, Spencer got up to leave. In a hurry, Nelly questioned, "Did you call me here just for that?"

Turning around, Spencer replied, "Don't teach her these things. She may seem mature, but she's still innocent at heart. I don't want to ruin her life."

Nelly didn't appreciate his condescending tone despite understanding his intentions towards Thalia. "Thalia is not a child anymore," she asserted.

Spencer turned around once again. "Spencer, I don't know why you keep rejecting her, but it's evident that it's just your perception. If there are obstacles you think are difficult to overcome, I hope you can talk to her about it. Thalia may be younger, but she's not a child. So, treat her accordingly. It's not fair to her," Nelly added firmly.

Spencer turned around once again, about to speak, but Nelly interrupted, "Alright, that's all I wanted to say. I won't interfere in what you decide to do or how you handle it."

She started to leave but paused and turned back to say, "Oh, by the way, Thalia is one of the most sincere girls I've known when it comes to relationships. She thought you wouldn't come through last night and told me that she will accept you as you are because she likes you."

Surprised, Spencer widened his eyes.

"She deserves better, so don't string her along. If you believe there's no future, make it clear to her. Don't let her get deeper into the relationship only for you to leave afterward. It's truly cruel," Nelly stated seriously.

Although Spencer was her best friend, Nelly believed she understood women better. They were not afraid of relationship challenges but were terrified of succumbing to blind infatuation before it even began.

Nelly didn't wait for Spencer to respond before leaving. She typically minded her own business and avoided interfering in others' relationships. However, with Thalia becoming important to her, she couldn't help but speak her mind.

"Do I really know Spencer well?" she pondered.

As Nelly walked away, she glanced back and noticed Spencer still standing there.

She hoped he would truly consider her words.
