The next day, Thalia woke up feeling groggy. After a peaceful and well-rested night, she slowly awakened and stretched her body. Just as she was about to get out of bed, a thought suddenly occurred to her. She paused and thought, "Wait a minute. Last night, didn't something happen?"
Abruptly, she threw the covers off and realized that her clothes had been changed. A vivid memory of the moment when Spencer leaned in to kiss her popped into her mind, causing her lips to curl up in a smile. Although this recollection brought her joy, she also felt a hint of confusion as she couldn't remember what happened after the kiss. Everything after that moment seemed like a blur. She questioned, "Did we do it last night?"
She looked around the room, but Spencer was nowhere to be found. Thalia furrowed her brows and a determined expression crossed her face. She thought, "I think we did. Otherwise, who else could have changed my clothes? And he did kiss me last night. Oh, he was so attractive." However, a nagging feeling in her heart made her wonder. If they had done it, then why wasn't she experiencing the same physical sensations that everyone else described? She was feeling a deep sense of comfort and a weightless, airy sensation. Was this the feeling that was commonly associated with sex? Thalia couldn't perceive any difference.
Suddenly, another bold thought crossed her mind. Could that scene from last night be just a dream that she had conjured up while she slept? Thalia jumped out of bed, eager to find the truth. She glanced at the bedside table and noticed the red wine. Instantly, her worries dissipated and she was able to relax. It wasn't a dream. It was real. Thalia's lips curved up. That was enough to dispel her doubts.
She perked up and decided to go look for Spencer. She wondered how he could have left without waiting for her. After taking a quick moment to freshen up, Thalia made her way to the laboratory. When she arrived, she found the room empty. She reached into her pocket for her phone and called Spencer, but soon heard his phone ringing from the table in the laboratory. Thalia furrowed her brows and wondered where he had gone. She stood in the corridor for a while until she heard noises downstairs. She pocketed her phone and went downstairs.
Everyone, including Spencer, Alpha Kilian, Nelly, and the three children, were in the dining room. Thalia smiled at them and said, "Let's have breakfast together. It's not often that we can all be in the same place." She walked over to them and noticed an empty seat beside Spencer. Thalia was surprised that he didn't look up and continued eating. She thought, "What is he doing? Why isn't he looking at me?"
Thalia smiled and said, "Spencer, why do you look so serious? Look at me." Everyone turned to look at her. Thalia immediately straightened up and replied, "No, of course not. I was just a bit disoriented after waking up a few moments ago." She reached for a nearby bowl and quickly filled it. "Here, have some food."
Thalia was taken aback by his strict demeanor, but she knew he was different from others, so it would be unreasonable for her to expect him to change after their eventful night. She nodded and took the bowl. As she regarded them silently, a niggling feeling crept into her heart. Why did it feel like nothing had changed? If they had done it, then why didn't she experience the same emotions that others described? Thalia glanced at Spencer, who was sitting beside her, and suddenly had another thought. Could the events from last night be just a dream that she had imagined while she slept?
Thalia couldn't wait any longer and stood up. She said, "I'm going to find him." Nelly quickly stopped her, saying, "Thalia!"
