Nelly decided to freshen up a little.
Just as she came out of the bathroom while drying her wet hair, a knock sounded on the door. She immediately went to open the door.
Ben stood on the other side of the door, a plate of food in his hands. His lips curved into a smile when he saw her. “Nelly , I brought you breakfast.”
Lowering her eyes, she swept her gaze over the plate he had brought before smiling and accepting it. “Okay. Thanks!”
“You're welcome,” Ben replied.
When Nelly saw that he had no intention of leaving, she inquired, “Is there anything else?”
Ben pursed his lips before meeting her eyes. “Nelly , I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything but I was merely worried. Please don't be mad at me.”
Nelly laughed and leaned against the door frame lazily. “Do I seem like such a petty person to you?” Ben shook his head in response. “No. You're a big-hearted person.”
“Since you already know that, why are you apologizing?”
Ben quirked an eyebrow. “Was I being too judgmental?” Nelly nodded. “Yup.”
“My bad.”
“It's good that you are able to recognize your mistakes and try to do better,” Nelly replied seriously. Ben merely smiled in response.
Nelly , too, laughed as she looked at him. “Okay. I'll be taking a nap after I get a bite to eat. You can go play with Tony .”
“Okay, got it.”
Ben only turned around to leave after he saw her smile.
“Remember to check in on Thalia when you have some free time,” Nelly reminded him.
“I know. I've been doing that every day.”
Smiling, Nelly watched as Ben leave. She then returned to her room and shut the door.
When she saw the food that Ben had brought her, a faint smile touched her lips. She sat down and began to eat slowly.
After she had finished, she felt incredibly sleepy. After a night without sleep, she wanted nothing more than to lie down and rest.
She stared at Alpha Kilian who lay on the bed. After a moment of contemplation, she made up her mind and went over to lie down beside him.

Bleary with sleep, Nelly vaguely felt someone touching her. She would feel a wet and hot pressure on her lips one moment, and a tingly feeling on her body the next.
Finally, she couldn't bear it and wrenched her eyes open. The room had gone dark and it was only illuminated by a dim warm light on the ceiling.
Through the dim lighting, Nelly was stunned when she spotted Alpha Kilian 's chiseled features. “You're awake.”
“Mhm,” Alpha Kilian grunted in response before placing a hand somewhere above her head. Nelly stared at him. “How are you feeling? Do you feel any discomfort?”
“Yes,” Alpha Kilian replied.
Before Nelly could move to get up, she found herself being held down by Alpha Kilian . “You!”
“I feel uncomfortable here,” Alpha Kilian murmured as he grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest.
He's probably still somewhat in a daze. Nelly frowned and leaned forward to check. “Were you also injured here?”
“Yes. I was heavily injured,” Alpha Kilian replied.
Nelly reached out a hand and felt around his chest. “I don't feel anything...” Lifting her head, her eyes met with Alpha Kilian 's eyes by chance. His gaze was dark and mesmerizing. At such close proximity, it made her feel as if she was suffocating.

Even Nelly , who was used to seeing handsome men, was mesmerized by Alpha Kilian 's good looks. What can I say? His looks are totally my type!
At that moment, Nelly just stared at him and was lost in her thought.
When Alpha Kilian noticed that she was silent, he lowered his gaze slowly. “Do you think I won't be mad just because you're staring at me so seductively?”
Nelly snapped out of her daze and hurriedly looked away. “I wasn't trying to seduce you.” “Are you sure? Then why are you staring at me so intently?” Alpha Kilian questioned.
Nelly smirked. “Nothing. I was just lost in thought because of how good-looking you are.” Alpha Kilian was rendered speechless.
Shouldn't I be the one saying that?
He felt somewhat awkward after hearing that from a woman.
That's Nelly for you. She never behaves in a way that let others understand what was going on in her mind.
At that, Alpha Kilian pulled her into his arms and murmured, “Is that so? I guess you'll have to take responsibility for it.”
“Whatever for?”
“Did you forget who was the one who ran away after sleeping with me?” Alpha Kilian asked as he glanced down at her.
Nelly found herself unable to reply.
