Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 512: I Was Wrong About You

Ch. 512 / 630 Apr 22, 2026

After all her careful planning, she ended up in such a humiliating mess. She couldn’t accept it.

People around her now looked at her with disgust. Their eyes turned cold, their whispers full of hate.

The same people who once admired her were now ready to throw her away.

Skylar stood up and looked at the man who once felt familiar but now seemed like a stranger. Slowly, she walked toward him.

She had tried again and again to win him over, but every time, she only pushed him farther away.

Still, she didn’t feel completely defeated.

As she walked past Dave, she leaned in and hissed, “Don’t forget the promise you signed. You can’t marry Bianca without my consent!”

Then she let out a sharp, bitter laugh.

Her face twisted with anger and madness.

“What I can’t have… Bianca can’t have either!”

Skylar shot Bianca a sharp, hateful glare—like a snake ready to strike. She refused to let Bianca have Dave.

With her teeth clenched, she said coldly, “Bianca, I may be leaving, but you’ll never become Dave’s legal wife.”

Her words hung in the air like a curse.

Dave’s expression turned grim.

Behind him, Wyatt also felt a chill run down his spine. His eyes darkened, though no one noticed.

Skylar tried hard not to cry and held on to what little pride she had left. But standing tall couldn’t hide the fact that she had lost.

No one stopped her. The guests quietly moved aside to let her pass.

No one dared to mess with someone so cruel.

People would no longer remember the perfect Skylar. They would only see her as a cold and ruthless woman who would hurt anyone to get what she wanted.

After she left, Lucas slowly walked over to Dave. His lips trembled, but he didn’t know what to say.

He felt like all of this was partly his fault.

He had always believed he could see through people. He often said he had never misjudged anyone. But this time, he was terribly wrong.

After a long silence, he let out a deep sigh and said, “You’re right. I was the one who made the mistake.”

This painful truth made Lucas, who had always held his head high, lower it for the first time today.

He then looked over and saw Bianca standing beside Dave.

In a soft voice, he said, “Bianca, can you help me get back to rest?”

It was the first time Lucas had ever asked her for help.

Both Bianca and Dave looked at him, surprised. Their eyes lit up with emotion.

The crowd was shocked at first, but then they all realized something, Lucas’s view of Bianca had changed!

Bianca stood there, confused, but Lucas nudged her and said, “Why are you just standing there? I’m not getting any younger. I don’t have all day.”

He wasn’t just talking about now. He was also hinting about the future; especially Dave and Bianca’s wedding.

Dave saw how his grandfather spoke to Bianca and quickly came over to help. Together, they walked away from the crowd.

Everyone watching saw Bianca as a new hope. People started whispering and pulling out their phones, all hoping to connect with Emerald Artists Agency.

“Hurry up and contact Emerald Artists Agency. Lock in the deal now!”

“What’s taking so long? If you don’t get that contract, you’re fired!”

“Things have changed. Emerald’s value just shot up! Drop the other deals and move everything to them. Sure, there’ll be penalty fees but who cares? This is bigger.”

Businessmen quickly changed their tune to match the new situation.

Bianca’s agency, which had just been criticized because of her legal trouble, was now admired by the elite crowd.

Meanwhile, Dave and Bianca quietly took Lucas back home. Franklin stayed behind to handle the rest of the mess at the beach.

Thankfully, the elite guests didn’t make things hard for Franklin. They all left in a calm and respectful way.

With all the drama over, Lucas was finally able to rest.

As Bianca gently placed a blanket over him, she leaned down and said softly, “Let’s leave the past behind. Rest well and take care of yourself.”

Her words made Lucas pause.

He began to reflect. Maybe he had been too quick to judge her. Maybe it was because he had chosen Skylar, or maybe because he never really took the time to understand Bianca. Maybe it was just his pride getting in the way.

He finally saw it—Bianca wasn’t the villain he thought she was.

He remembered all the stories Skylar told about Bianca. He believed them without question. If he had taken the time to look deeper, he would’ve seen the truth. Skylar was clever, but her heart was heading in the wrong path.

Lucas made up his mind. He wouldn’t get involved in Dave’s choices anymore. Dave had proven himself to be far more capable than he thought.

As Lucas looked out the window, a few birds flew past. He realized how foolish it was to believe rumors without proof. That wasn’t like him.

Maybe he was just getting old.

Lucas turned to look at the young woman in front of him and let out a quiet chuckle. He remembered how foolish he’d been offering five billion just to make Bianca leave Dave.

“Come, sit with me,” he said, showing a warmth he rarely let anyone see.

Bianca nodded and sat down beside his bed.

“I see it now,” Lucas said softly. “I was wrong about you. Will you tell me your story?”

Bianca looked at him, calm and sincere. She knew that if she had just done a little digging alone back then, the truth would’ve come to light much sooner.

Very few people in Edenfield would dare look down on Lucas—unless they were asking for trouble. But during this talk, Lucas finally learned the truth about Bianca.

Her father might not have been well-known, but her mother was the respected founder of Cherish. Her brother also held an important role at a research center.

Her family wasn’t as rich as the Evans family, but they were well-respected.

But Bianca never used her family’s name to raise her status. She built everything on her own through hard work.

Sadly, Skylar ruined her reputation by calling her a gold-digger. Because of that, Lucas judged Bianca the wrong way. He didn’t know that her family was actually more respectable than Skylar’s.

If he hadn’t raised Skylar since she was young, she probably would’ve never been part of the wealthy circle at all.

If Lucas hadn’t raised Skylar himself, she wouldn’t have ever fit in with the wealthy crowd.
