Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 516: You’re Just Dave’s Lapdog

Ch. 516 / 630 Apr 22, 2026

Dave didn’t just save him—he helped clear his name and gave him a shot at the life he had always dreamed of.

Their bond had become hard to define—a mix of mentor and student, boss and follower, partners, and even something like father and son.

Wyatt truly cared about Dave. After Zane vanished, he stepped in to guide and protect him.

He knew how much Dave valued loyalty. When Dave made a promise, he kept it. That was why Wyatt stayed loyal all these years.

It was true—Skylar had once saved Dave from danger.

But Wyatt’s loyalty was only to Dave. At some point, he started wishing Dave would find real happiness. And when he saw how Dave looked at Bianca, he realized that she was the one. She could change him, lift him out of the darkness, and give him the life he deserved.

So, he chose to intervene and help them.

Since he knew Dave always kept his word, Wyatt decided to be the bad guy this time.

He took a deep breath and looked at the woman lying unconscious.

“I don’t hate you,” he said quietly. “But you’re standing in the way, and I can’t ignore that.”

He had followed Skylar after the wedding. What he saw shocked him. Skylar was secretly working with Brady.

On the surface, the Lawson Group and the Evans Group looked calm. But underneath, tension was building fast. The Lawson Group was like a wolf hiding in the dark, watching and waiting to tear into the Evans Group when the moment came.

Wyatt was sure Skylar was trying to use Brady to go after Dave, even if he didn’t know all the details yet.

Still, this was the perfect chance to uncover their plans.

“Sorry about this,” Wyatt muttered as he sharpened the blade until it gleamed.

He caught her reflection on the back of the blade.

With slow steps, he walked toward her.

Just then, Skylar gasped and blinked her eyes open.

Her eyes widened as her blurry vision slowly cleared.

The man standing in front of her wasn’t a stranger. He was Dave’s trusted man—the same one she had seen during the press conference livestream.

How did this happen?

Her chest tightened with shock and confusion.

She had saved Dave. She was supposed to be his future wife. How could he send someone to kill her?

Skylar’s mind was spinning, filled with wild thoughts.

She didn’t think Dave would ever stoop this low. If this man wasn’t acting on Dave’s orders, then maybe Bianca was behind it. That snake must’ve sent him.

Not willing to give in, Skylar glared at Wyatt as he moved closer. “What’s this about, huh? If Dave finds out, you’re done! Did Bianca send you? Whatever she’s offering, I can pay more.”

Wyatt stayed silent. His face was cold and firm, like stone.

He raised the knife, the blade just inches from her neck.

“Tell me what you’re doing with Brady Lawson. Now. Or deal with the consequences.”

Skylar’s heart pounded as her thoughts raced. She had met Brady in secret.

How did they know? Were Bianca and Dave watching her this whole time? Was Brady being followed too?

“Hmph!” Skylar scoffed, staring hard at Wyatt. “If you want answers, then give me some too.”

“Was it Dave who sent you? Or that scheming witch, Bianca?” she asked, her tone sharp with doubt.

Wyatt spat to the side, clearly disgusted.

“You’re way off. Neither of them told me to do this. This is my call. Only mine. Now talk, or I’ll have to push harder.”

He stepped closer, and the cold blade inches away from her skin.

Wyatt moved the blade slowly, and the sharp edge grazed Skylar’s skin. The slight sting made her heart pound. Her whole body shook.

“You’re making no sense!” she snapped. “I’ve got no issues with you. If this isn’t about Dave or Bianca, then I’ve got nothing to say.”

She was scared, but she refused to back down. Dave and Bianca were clearly together now. Maybe they both wanted her gone.

She tightened her fists.

Wyatt slid the knife back into its sheath. He looked at her with clear disgust. Her smug little smile only made him more annoyed.

“You don’t have to say a word,” he said coldly. “Now that I know you’ve met with him, that’s enough. With a little digging, I’ll find out everything soon.”

"Then go dig all you want! What's stopping you? Or are you scared I'll find out you're hiding something?" Skylar snapped. "I'm not saying anything!"

She guessed Wyatt had another reason for not hurting her yet. If he really wanted to, he would’ve done it already.

As long as he didn’t get what he came for, she still had a chance. That thought gave her a bit of comfort.

Wyatt leaned in and whispered, "You were trembling before, but now you’re suddenly calm. Interesting."

He paused, then added, “Dave signed a paper saying he’d never marry Bianca. I want you to destroy it.”

Skylar's eyes widened in shock. Only she and Dave knew about that agreement. How did Wyatt find out?

"How do you know about this?" she asked, her voice low. The silence that followed felt heavy. "Did Dave send you?"

Just thinking that Dave might’ve told Wyatt broke what was left of her trust.

Wyatt's tone was cold like the blade. "I already told you. It wasn’t Dave. This is my choice."

Skylar stepped back and shook her head. "No way. If it’s not Dave… then it has to be Bianca!"

That thought crushed her even more. If Bianca knew about the agreement, then Dave must have truly moved on.

"You only judge people based on what you’d do yourself," Wyatt said and his cold eyes stared at her.

"I want that agreement gone. Dave and Bianca aren’t like you. They’re clean. They deserve peace. I’ll be the one to take the hits and keep them safe."

Skylar looked at him, stunned. "You’re just Dave’s lapdog. Why step in if he didn’t tell you to?"

They talked about honor, but did they really live by it?

Skylar’s anger exploded. “Enough of this act. Just kill me already and be done with it!” Her voice rang out, bold and fearless.

Wyatt gave a cold smile. The blade in his hand caught the light, hovering just near her throat.

"I’ve met people like you before," he said in a low, heavy tone. "I’ve lived through hell—prison, madness, things you can’t imagine. I’m no hero. Killing? That’s nothing to me."
