The next morning, Camella went from one meeting to the other, there was a lot that needed to be attended to. She was able to take a break during lunch and was surprised when she got into her face to find the certain fellow, seated behind her swivel chair with his legs crossed over the other.
She squinted. That's it. Everything he does infuriates her. How can he get into her office and sit in her swivel chair, the CEO position? How can he feel comfortable to occupy the space behind the desk, how does he reason?
“Hello baby girl” Jack said, gently raising himself up and opening his arms, gesturing for her to walk over but Camella sneered and simply answered “How're you doing, Jack?” Standing right in front of him and Fred Maxwell closely behind her, with her files and a computer.
“Aren't you going to give your fiance a sweet hug huh?” Jack requested ignoring her indifferent attitude. His eyes were scanning her from her head to her toes lustfully that Fred Maxwell had to swallow hard.
“You can spare me that for now, Jack” Camella snapped at him and sneered, “You are not allowed on that chair next time. It's strictly mine” Camella frowned.
“Oh I apologise for that” he said and stepped away from behind the desk. He got closer to her and forced a hug on her. “I miss you so much darling,” he said.
“I missed you too dear,” Camella replied. And went to sit behind the desk. Fred Maxwell placed the files before her and her computer. Jack glanced at him as he meticulously kept Camella's things and walked out.
“Your employees are rude and don't know to respect the higher ups” he scowled. As he arrived, her secretary didn't let him in until he insisted that he is her fiance and might lose her job if she dared to stand in his way.
She refused adamantly until a certain person was called and she let him in. This fellow also saw him and cannot regard him as Camella's future husband, he just walked away without a word to him.
“What do you mean?” Camella snapped at him. Why on earth will he have such a judgmental mind towards her employees? Besides that dude, Andre Torello, there hasn't been any other reason to be angry with any of them. They've been on their toes.
“Your secretary a while ago and now, this fellow who just stepped out. Didn't they know you have a fiance? I want you to get them all together here and introduce me as your fiance. Have the secretary pass the announcement now…” Jack seethed.
Camella just glared at him speechless. She should summon her employees for an announcement to them that she has a fiance? How does that concern the company about her life and whoever she chooses to be with?
“That's not going to happen. This is my company and not yours. You can't decide whatever you like here. They did what was right and it's within their job description. If you don't adjust to this lifestyle, then don't come here again” Camella snapped at him.
Jack was angry “You have no regards for me yourself , how then can your employees learn to be respectful” He mumbled beneath his breath. If his fiance has degraded him, what does he expect from the lower ones?
“Did you say something?” Camella asked. She heard what he said but decided to ask. If he has no self esteem for himself, how can he expect others to respect him? Some things just come naturally, there's no need to struggle or beg for it.
“Nothing, I said nothing” he lied and Camella glared at him speechless.
In the workshop, Andre received a message that said his application was successful and he'd been hired. Wow, that's beautiful. It means he would be leaving sooner than he expected.
But what about his mom? Will she agree to come along with him? They'll live a better life in England than in N.Y and he just wants to leave to a place where nothing reminds him of Jasmine and the time he'd wasted, loving her.
He'll have to persuade her and make her understand some certain things. He is leaving, she will come along with him. That's certain.
He stood up and went to the finance department “I want to know how much I'm owning your company” Andre asked. That way, he would be able to pay off and leave without worrying about his conscience.
“We don't know exactly. She just asked us to affect only 50% of your pay monthly” the head of the unit explained. How can she expect him to live with half of his salary and for two years?
He'd only received half payment for three months and they knew he was innocent. But Andre, he is quiet and easy going. He didn't defend himself and allowed his payment to be deducted without fighting for it. He doesn't have such a good heart like Andre Torello, not in the slightest.
“It's easy, just calculate everything by two years, you'll know” Andre suggested. He doesn't want anything that will bring a physical confrontation between himself and that woman again. He wants to remain in his lane.
“You should have known that Miss Camella is a feisty woman. We can't just do such calculations. It has to pass through her table before we can write the bill out for you. And better still, you can talk things over with her, to wave it for you, Andre” the finance head advised.
Andre nodded and walked away. As much as he hates coming before that woman, he had no option than to do that. He went to the CEO office and requested to see Miss Camella.
Mary, her secretary, smiled at him and nodded. She likes Andre a lot. She wished he could just give her a chance and she would be happy to be his girlfriend. She went into the office and soon returned, asking him to go in.
Andre got in, his eyes scanned the office briefly. He'd been there once before, it was a life saving battle that day. Anyways he glanced at the elegantly seated woman behind the desk and another man seated across from her arrogantly.
“Good day ma'am” Andre said, and stood, his hands folded in front of him below his abdomen. Rather than answer him, Miss Camella glared at him from his head to his toes, still dressed in his overall.
Shouldn't this idiot know that he was to pull off his overalls while coming to see her? How can she deal with some lousy senseless employees or those who don't know anything about behaviours and the don'ts that guide every organisation?
“What do you want?” She snapped at him, glaring at him in resentment.
