“I am going to the grocery store. We don't have milk at home and some veggies” Alice replied. He is not used to seeing her go to the grocery shop because he was always at work at such times.
“I'll get them for you today. I don't want you to run into that woman, Regina and start a fight again” he giggled and took the bag away from her. He brought her to sit down and asked “mom, I need you to say yes to me.
I don't have a job here anymore. Let's go to England. We are definitely going to be better off there than here. Just say yes, mom and I will start making preparations for us to leave” he persuaded.
Alice looked away. She folded her arms across her chest and went quiet. She doesn't know what her son wants to hear from her again. She'd told him all she wanted to say, but he is still putting words in her mouth.
“Don't make things difficult for me Andre. I already told you what I have to say. I will stay back and you go. I believe you will always come to visit me every year. But coming with you, I'd be a burden on you.
I am an old woman now. Seeing you flourishing has always been my desire. Why would I stop you from pursuing your dreams? Go ahead my son and I will cheer you on. But please, don't live your life because of me anymore, live for yourself henceforth, you deserve it.

What kind of a son is Andre? It is enough. She wants him to leave and go far away from her. As long as she stays around him, he'll only think of her always. He'll only seek her happiness even if it makes him uncomfortable.

“I'm sorry” Jasmine apologised and Patrick helped her into the bedroom. He ensured she laid down and he took away her phone “the doctor prescribed bed rest for you. So I will be taking your phone away for now” Patrick informed.
Jasmine laid on the bed quietly. She doesn't understand why Patrick suddenly became tender towards her again. He was like this when he was dating her. He does it and treats her like a queen until he gets between her legs and gets her pregnant.
But his suddenly beastly behaviour the night she had a miscarriage was strange to her. And how he threatened her not to tell anyone how she lost the pregnancy nor that she complained of pains and yet, he thrust his dick into her.

He could afford an elaborate wedding and make her appear like a celebrity. Dignitaries were at her wedding and he bought her parents expensive clothes for the wedding. These wouldn't have been possible with Andre.
She hopes he understands and forgives her. She played him until she was married. She was afraid of breaking up with him because he would almost lose his mind and might hinder the union. But knowing at the point of no return, he would accept it as fate.
If in future, he needs Patrick's help in any way, she would make sure he gets it as compensation for whatever he has gone through. She didn't ask after him since she saw him last at her wedding, she doesn't want to know how he coped.
That evening , Andre got his sports bag and headed to the basketball court . He arrived dressed in a jersey and sneakers. He paid the cab and saw a sports car, that appears to be familiar, in the parking lot.
