The Rebirth of My Dead Billionaire Wife

Chapter 232

Ch. 232 / 300 Apr 25, 2026

Avery rolled over in bed, her eyes squinting at the early morning sunlight streaming through her windows. She reached for her phone on the nightstand, her fingers brushing against the sleek device. When she unlocked it, a notification caught her eye—a message from Ryan Hayes.

Ryan: Good morning, Avery. I hope you have a great day.

A smile tugged at her lips despite herself. It was such a simple message, but it carried a warmth that lingered from the previous evening.

Avery: Good morning to you too. Thanks, you too.

She set the phone down and slid out of bed, shaking off the thoughts swirling in her mind. Today was going to be busy—a board meeting in the morning, a strategic planning session in the afternoon, and who knew what else would come up.

After dressing in a tailored navy suit and tying her hair back into a sleek bun, Avery grabbed a coffee and headed to the office.

The boardroom was spacious and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city skyline. Avery stood at the head of the long glass table, her laptop open as she prepared to lead the meeting.

“Good morning, everyone,” she greeted, her voice confident yet approachable. “Let’s get started.”

The meeting agenda was packed—quarterly financial reports, updates on the upcoming product launch, and a discussion about a potential partnership with an international tech firm.

Avery listened intently as her CFO, Mark, walked the team through the financials. She nodded occasionally, jotting down notes in her leather-bound notebook. When it was her turn to speak, she rose, her presence commanding.

“I’ve reviewed the partnership proposal,” she said, her gray eyes sweeping across the room. “While the financial benefits are clear, I have concerns about the cultural fit between our companies. Before we move forward, I’d like to set up a meeting with their leadership team to ensure our values align.”

There were murmurs of agreement around the table, and Mark nodded. “That’s a good call, Avery. I’ll arrange the meeting.”

“Thank you,” she said with a small smile. “Now, onto the next point…”

The meeting lasted another hour, and by the time it wrapped up, Avery felt a sense of accomplishment. She had steered the discussion with clarity and purpose, and the board left the room reassured by her leadership.

After the meeting, Avery returned to her office, ready to take a moment to recharge before diving into the rest of her day. She pushed open the door, expecting the familiar sight of her polished desk and the quiet hum of her office.

Instead, she froze in her tracks.

Sitting on the couch near the floor-to-ceiling windows was Ryan Hayes, a brown paper bag and two cups of coffee on the table in front of him. He looked up as she entered, his hazel eyes lighting up with a warm smile.

“Hey,” he said casually, standing up. “I brought you lunch.”
