The Alpha's Triangle

Chapter 13 Isaiah

Ch. 13 / 200 Jun 24, 2025

“You know we can do as much touring as you want when you get back,” I said as Alaia pulled me into another room of the pack house.

There was a dark walnut bookcase lining the entire left wall. There was a black sectional with a fur pelt draped over one of the arms, lined with fluffy red and black pillows. On the right wall sits a large fireplace and mantle with bookshelves on both sides. The mantle is littered with picture frames of my family and friends.

In the middle of the room sits a L-shaped mahogany desk etched with intricate designs. To the right of the desk stood floor-to-ceiling double bay windows with red blackout curtains that led out to a small balcony overlooking my mother’s garden. Everything in this room screamed my parents. I made a mental note to change that.

“I know. I just want to see as much as I can before I go. You never know what the future can bring.”

I pulled her into my chest, “Which is why we should get acquainted with the most important room in this place.”

“Isaiah,” Alaia gasped before swatting me on the shoulders.

A small blush creeped on her cheeks making her look most adorable. She pushed herself out of my embrace and walked about the room. I stood back to watch her peruse the books on the bookshelf. She stood tall but she looked a bit frail. Her blonde hair came down near her butt framing her body perfectly. She was wearing a simple white summer dress that flirted around her as she moved, making her look like a little dancing angel. A gold chain sat around her neck, leading down to a crystal quartz that reflected colors of gold and green in the light.

“This room looks important.”

“Yes. This is the Alpha’s office. My office officially.”

This was probably my favorite room. Where all the decisions were made. Since I was little I've pictured myself sitting behind my dad's desk, preparing for meetings, or planning a strike team for rogues nearby. Most of my dad’s important decisions were made on the balcony. A little fresh air never hurts, he always said. I noticed she’s noticing the decor.

“I haven’t had the chance to make it my own.”

I watched as she ran her fingers across the marble table then she looked at me with an evil grin. Her crystal blue eyes stared at me with a bit of excitement.

“Maybe we can find a way to make it ours." Alaia sat on the edge of the desk beckoning me towards her.

I didn't waste a minute nearly leaping towards her. My mouth was on hers and instantly I felt the shocks vibrate through my entire body. I think I can finally understand the reason for Hunter 2.0. I don't think I'll ever be able to let her go. Alaia giggled while I planted kisses down her neck. I wanted to go farther but then there was a knock on the door which was opened. In the doorway stood Alpha Zack, not looking too pleased.

"Alaia, I would like to have a moment with Isaiah, if you don't mind."

Alaia looked over my shoulders and smiled, “Can you give us one second, big brother and he’s all yours?”

Zack simply nodded and closed the door. Alaia pulled a bracelet off her wrist and slid it onto mine.

“What is this,” I asked, running my hands over the stones. Three of the stones had what looked like symbols on them.

“This is one of my favorite bracelets. It can help us stay connected like true mates. Anytime you feel stress, just think of me and it will calm you,” Alaia giggled.

Her giggle. It was like music to my ears. If I could make her giggle every day I would be complete. She bowed her head and whispered something I couldn’t catch, then she touched her necklace which seemed to glow. Or maybe it caught the light. For a moment the symbols on the bracelet seemed to glow in the light too. I could feel a strange calmness flow through my body. All I could think about was Alaia and keeping her close to me forever. Our bond seems to be increasing by the minute.

“Are you alright?” Alaia touched my face and the sparks roamed from her fingertips causing me to open my eyes.

I didn’t even realize they were closed. I could feel a smile spread across my face and I touched my forehead to hers. I inhaled her scent and filled my lungs until they felt like they were about to burst. I never felt this intense before. Every part of my being wanted to be with Alaia right this moment. I couldn’t explain where all of this was coming from but I didn’t care.

“I feel amazing. I don’t ever want this feeling to go away. Do you have to go back?”

“Of course I do. I don’t want to leave either, but my whole life is in the Blue Moon pack. With a little help, I’m sure I can pack my essentials and be back before you know.”

Alaia traced her hands down my face and guided me towards her lips. Her kisses were light and playful, but something primal came over me. I kissed her harder and pulled her into my body. She opened her mouth giving me entrance to explore with my tongue. I kissed her as if it was breathing itself. Of course again there was a knock at the door.

“Ignore him,” I said between kisses.

“No, he’s my brother and he wants to talk to you. I wouldn’t come between two alphas. I know my place.”

“Which is by my side. Whatever he has to say, he can say it to both of us.” I embraced her a little tighter. What is wrong with me? This possessiveness might push her away.

“Or bring her closer,” Devon spoke. He didn’t mind being a possessive wolf, especially when it came to our mate.

“Isaiah, it’s okay. I won’t be far. Besides, I can feel his anger through the door. Alphas don’t like to be made to wait,” Alaia walked towards the door to open it.

Zack stood there with his arms folded. He glared at me before his gaze softened when he looked at Alaia.

"Sorry for making you wait brother. You know how easy it is for me to get attached,” Alaia said before looking at me, "We can finish later."

Zack made a grunting noise as Alaia looked at him for a moment before walking out. I walked around to my father-my chair and motioned for Zack to sit. He closed the door before sitting down.

We sat in silence for a few minutes. I watched him have what looked like an internal conversation. Alaia was right. I could feel the anger radiating from his demeanor. I wonder if it was more than just making him wait. It wasn’t until he sighed heavily and put his face in his hands, that I knew this was going to be a serious talk. He looked back at me and said the worst thing I could possibly hear.
