The Alpha's Cinderella

Chapter 9

Ch. 9 / 80 Dec 19, 2025

Serena

“Run, little wolf, run! We're catching up to you, so you better be ready to have some fun!”

I bit my lower lip upon hearing his chilling remark. I had been running for a while, trying to escape those rogues, but they showed no signs of giving up. My legs were starting to feel heavy, yet I knew that stopping wasn't an option.

“That's right, little wolf! Keep running until there's nowhere left to go. When we catch you, we'll make sure you'll whimper in both pain and pleasure!”

The statement sent shivers down my spine. Judging by their howls as they chased me, it was all too clear what they had in mind. The repulsive idea of being violated by those monsters was a strong enough driving force for me to keep pushing forward. I was determined to never let them get their hands on me. I would rather die!

Suddenly, the surroundings fell silent. The presence of the rogues chasing me seemed to fade away. I kept running for a few more seconds before gradually slowing down and eventually coming to a stop. Their sinister presence and the weight of their intentions no longer reached me. Could it be that they grew weary and decided to release me?

Out of nowhere, an unfamiliar entity pounced on me, causing me to roll violently across the ground. I must have become too complacent during that brief respite. Clearly, I hadn't realized that one of the vile rogues had managed to get close without my awareness.

Big mistake.

The rogue who attacked me let out a howl as his skin brushed against mine. We tumbled and rolled until, eventually, he managed to subdue me, using his legs to imprison mine. Just then, the other one emerged from the trees and pinned my arms above me. A frown formed as their repugnant stench assaulted my nostrils.

The older rogue, who was atop me, leaned forward, sniffing at my neck. I instinctively turned my head to the side, avoiding his foul breath.

“Finally! We caught you, little wolf. Now, it’s time for us to claim our prize,” he uttered, his gaze feeling like a violation in itself. No, I wouldn't let him touch me. Not now, not ever!

And then, his fingers began to brush my skin. That was the breaking point.

“GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!!!!”

I tried to push him as hard as I could but I couldn’t. Tears started running down my face as the rogues’ menacing waves of laughter echoed around. Slowly, they tore my clothing until I was left wearing only my underwear.

“Ooooh! We hit the jackpot!” The other one uttered while laughing once again. All of the hairs on my body began to rise as his dirty fingernails traced my collarbone and towards my navel. I cried desperately realizing the horrors that were about to come.

“Please…don’t do it!” I pleaded. But seeing me that vulnerable only fueled the last in their eyes. Seeing that there was nowhere else to go, I shut my eyes in surrender. I closed my eyes in surrender, fervently praying for the moon goddess to take my life afterward, as I didn’t know how I could continue living after this ordeal.

As time passed, I began to feel calm. It seemed like everything was pausing for a moment. Then, I felt a gentle sensation, like a cool breeze on a warm night, touching my skin. I cautiously opened my eyes and saw a soft, silver light shining around me. The rouges and the forest were gone as if I was brought into another realm. But what surprised me the most was when the silver light called upon me.

“Serena…”

"Who are you?" I questioned. The light kept soothing my worries. Just hearing his voice made me feel better.

"I'm Remus, and I'm your spirit wolf," came the reply.

"You're joking,” I couldn't help but laugh at that. “Just so you know, I was born without a spirit wolf and I already accepted that fate bestowed upon me.”

“But I am not,” the voice persisted. "Explaining how I ended up in your body would be complicated, so I won’t go into that. What's important is that I'm here now, and I'll be with you as your companion, always. You won't be alone anymore, Serena."

His last statement was enough to flatter my heart and even though I couldn’t see his form, I could feel that he was smiling at me. “Now, do you accept me, Serena? Do you accept me as your spirit wolf?”

With tears flooding my eyes, I extended my arms into him. “Yes, I do. So, take me with you.”

With that, the silver light enveloped me, forming an energy ball that eventually consumed me. The next thing I knew, I was back on the ground with the rogue attempting to strip my chest bare.

“I SAID, GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF ME!!”

I pushed him with all my might, taking him by surprise. He crashed into a nearby tree, the impact jarring his back. Without hesitation, I repeated the move on the other young rogue.

As I stood up, I felt a profound shift within me. Energy surged through my body, reshaping it. Limbs stretched and transformed into strong, padded paws. My skin erupted in shades of gray and white, ultimately giving way to a striking silver coat. My face extended into a muzzle, and my ears migrated to the top of my head. With a final impulse, I dropped to all fours, embracing my new wolf form with pride.

I lunged at the younger wolf, aiming for his neck, and clamped my powerful jaws around it. My sharp teeth pierced through his dirty skin, and soon, red liquid squirted out. The earthy scent of the liquid wrinkled my nose, a reminder of the substance I could never come to appreciate.

While I was busy with the younger one, the older one attacked me from behind like a coward. He already morphed into his ugly, black wolf form, attacking me without an ounce of honor. I felt his sharp claws piercing through my back, tearing my skin. He then targeted and wounded my neck.

I poured my last ounce of strength into the fight but I was too weak. I already lost a lot of blood from the injuries I received. I couldn’t hold onto my wolf so as I fell to the ground, I started going back to my original form.

I struggled to catch my breath, the sensation of numbness spreading through my body. My eyelids grew heavy, and it seemed like the end was near.

Then, out of nowhere, a black wolf appeared, charging towards the rogues. All I could make out were the shimmering emerald eyes of the black-hued wolf before everything faded into an eternal darkness.
